Derrick Rose cuts ties with Bulls,headed to Knicks




After one year in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls,the number 1 pick from 2008 NBA draft Derrick Rose was headed to New York.He was involved in trade which sends him to the Knicks and Chris Duhon and 1st round draft pick from the next NBA draft to the Bulls.Rose is 1.91m tall and he weights 86kg.He told the press that he's happy about arriving in Knicks."New York is one of the greatest teams ever.I wish all the good to my former team but you know..i have to go on and to play like i know.I'll give everything i can for my new team." said Rose.
In his rookie year Rose has averaged 18pts,4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.He won the Skills Challenge at the All Star Weekend.This is the first time when rookie wins this competition..aand "Pooh" like his grandmother called him will play with number 1,like he played in Bulls.The Knicks will open their season against Lebron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers.

New York -The Knicks started the season like they never expected to do.They just killed the Cavs.The fans were so excited after the first half..that wasn't happening from a long time ago.59 to 40 at the half..and Lebron James and Co. didn't know where they are.It was like dream night for the Knicks.But maybe this is the new start,maybe the Knicks will lead the East again ?
The game started slowly.Point for point and 3.42 before the end of the first the Knicks take their first lead after David Lee easy lay-up 18 to 16.In this 3.42 the Cavs scored only 2 points by Maurice Williams while the Knicks scored 7.So the first end up with 25 to 18 for the Knicks.The second was just amazing.All was going in..Gallinari's three-pointers,Rose's amazing lay-ups it was just amazing quarter by New York.And,YES,they were playing great defense too.They had 11 steals and 5 blocks while Cavs had 5 steals and 1 block.At the half the Knicks led by 19.Gallinari had 16 points and 5 rebounds.It seems like this is going to be his night.



In the second half nothing changed up and the Knicks continue playing their game.The Cavs couldn't answer.Cavs took the 4th by 3 points because of some 3-pointers by Mo Williams,Boobie Gibson and King.Lebron finished with 24 points,4 rebounds and 6 assists.Mo Williams added 9 points,9 assists and 5 rebounds.Delonte West scored 15.Ben Wallace grabbed 9 rebounds but he scored only 2 points.
Danilo Gallinari was the highest scorer for New York with 24 points and 5 rebounds.He went 4-7 from the 3pt line.Quentin Richardson and Derrick Rose had 17 points.Rose recorded 8 assists and 4 rebounds.David Lee finished with 16 points,6 rebounds,2 steals and 3 blocks.Al Harrington was the other player who passed the 10 points with 13.

Madison Square Garden,New York - New York Knicks showed other face in their second game this season against the Pistons.The team from the game with Cavs was just not the same.In some moments the Pistons were doing everything they want.The main problems were the rebounds.
At moments the Pistons were getting 3 or 4 consecutive offensive rebounds and then scoring.
In this game the Knicks scored only 3 3-pointers while against the Cavs they scored 11.Gallinari finished with only 2 points,he was very good defended by Tayshaun Prince.They know that he is dangerous and they defend him well.




Al Harrington was the only player who was trying to do something for the Knicks with his 22 points.Carlos Boozer couldn't handle him and Al went on a 9-13 scoring from the field.He added 3 boards,2 steals and 2 assists.David Lee scored 20 points and he grabbed 8 rebounds to help Harrington.Quentin Richardson scored only 9 points but he added 10 assists and 3 rebounds.Derrick Rose finished 16 points.
As for the Pistons,6 players finished with more than 10 points.The Pistons grabbed 46 rebounds in this game and only 29 for the Knicks.Allen Iverson scored 19 points and he was near a double-double with 9 assists.Tayshaun Prince recorded a DD with 19 points,12 rebounds and 5 assists.Gerald Green scored 18 points.The other players with over 10 points were Carlos Boozer - 14,Rodney Stuckey - 12,Rasheed Wallace - 12.Stuckey added 7 rebounds and 4 assists.But he might be traded in next days..this are telling some people.
