09/10 Chicago Bulls- Bringing back the Championship Old Days

Hey whats up NLCS. Today I would like to present to you a 09/10 Chicago Bulls Association. I will stimulate the 08/09 season(including the playoffs) since this season is almost over.
I will also include recaps and trades that occured in the 08/09 season. You might see that my roster is not the exact one as the 2k one due to me making some interesting moves in the offseason that I will recap also. My biggest influences for this association are Valor's association, Sit's association and Lamrock's Dynasty with the Hawks. By the way I'm playing on NBA 2K9 on the 360 system with 2k's living rosters.

Player Bios

Derrick Rose / #1/ Point Guard

Born: Oct 4, 1988
Height: 6-3 / 1,91
Weight: 190 lbs. / 86,2 kg.
College: Memphis
Years Pro: 1

2008-09 Statistics
PPG 16.1 /RPG 4.6/ APG 6.8/ EFF + 16.71< NBA 2K9 08/09 SEASON STATS

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Rose won two state championships in high school and was rated by scouts as the top point guard prospect after his senior year. He decided to play basketball for the University of Memphis Tigers and reached the NCAA National Championship Game in 2008. Shortly after his freshman year ended, Rose declared for the 2008 NBA Draft and was selected first overall by his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls. An expcetional point guard with an amazing athletic ability similar to current stars like Dwyane Wade and other small guards. He is the future of this franchise and he is here to bring back those championship days.

Ben Gordon / #7/ Shooting Guard

Born: Apr 4, 1983
Height: 6-6 / 1,91
Weight: 210 lbs. / 90,7 kg.
College: Connecticut
Years Pro: 5

2008-09 Statistics
PPG 21.1/ RPG/ 4.40/ APG 3.9/ EFF + 16.76< NBA 2K9 SEASON STATS

Ben Gordon was born in London, England, UK to Jamaican parents. He moved to the United States shortly after his birth, and grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. Gordon played high school basketball for the Mount Vernon Knights, where he helped lead them to the 2000 New York State Public and Federation Championships. Gordon was an All-State player at Mount Vernon and a top 40 national recruit. He was heavily recruited by Seton Hall, but decided to attend UCONN. While playing college basketball with Connecticut, Gordon helped lead the Huskies to the 2004 NCAA championship along with second overall pick, Emeka Okafor. Gordon was picked 3rd overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2004 NBA Draft and in the 2007-08 season led the team in points scored per game. In college he played both shooting guard and point guard for the University of Connecticut. He is the only player to receive the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award as a rookie. Gordon is the Bulls' all-time leader in three point goals. He is an amazing scorer who would give you more than 20 points every night. Best shooter in the team and has grown 3 inches in the offseason and gain 10 pounds. Due to his increased height and weight, many experts believe his defense will rise due to his great on ball defense and being tallers means no more post ups. This could be an all-star season for Gordon if he adjusts to his height and gels good with Rose in the backcourt.

Ron Artest/ #93 / Small Forward

Born: Nov 13, 1979
Height: 6-7 / 2,01
Weight: 260 lbs. / 117,9 kg.
College: St. John's (NY)
Years Pro: 10

2008-09 Statistics
PPG 17.2/ RPG 5.50/ APG 3.9 /EFF + 15.79< NBA 2K9 SEASON STATS

Artest was born and raised in the Queensbridge projects in Queens, New York. He played high school basketball at La Salle Academy and college basketball at St. John's University from 1997-1999. In 1999 he helped the Red Storm to the Elite Eight, losing to Ohio State in a classic game. He gained fame playing in some of New York City's high profile summer basketball tournaments at Nike Pro City, Hoops in the Sun at Orchard Beach, Bronx New York and Dyckman Park at Washington Heights, earning himself nicknames such as Tru Warrier and The New World Order, a name he received from Randy Cruz (one of the co-founders of the Hoops In The Sun basketball league at Orchard Beach in the Bronx, New York). As a teenager, he was teamed with Elton Brand of the Philadelphia 76ers, Brendan Haywood of the Washington Wizards and Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers on the same AAU team.Artest was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th pick of the 1999 NBA Draft. In the 1999-00 season he was named to the Schick All-Rookie Team. In 2 1/2 seasons with Chicago he averaged 12.5 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 2.9 assist per game, and 2 steals per game. While playing for the Bulls, Artest was Michael Jordan's "favorite Bull". He was later traded to the Indiana Pacers and was involved in the 2004's infamous Brawl with the Pistons. He then was traded to Sacramento, where he averaged career highs and then was traded to Houston. In the 2009 offseason, Artest signed with the Chicago Bulls and rejoined the team that drafted him. He fits perfect with the team, since Chicago lacks a defensive minded forward in Artest. He would be the last Bull player to win the Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Many experts believe he would have a Scottie Pippen role in Chicago that would consists of him being a point forward in offense and would guard the the opposing team's best player. He would also give a sign of relief to Ben Gordon in scoring since he is a 20 point scorer, too. Last but not least, He would fit Derrick Rose's offense of driving and dishing.

Al Horford / #15 / Power Forward-Center

Born: Jun 3, 1986
Height: 6-10 / 2,08
Weight: 245 lbs. / 111,1 kg.
College: Florida
Years Pro: 2

2008-09 Statistics
PPG 12.4/ RPG 10.1/ APG 2.9/ EFF + 21.82< NBA 2K9 SEASON STATS

Horford was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and raised there for a couple years. Horford is a Dominican basketball player and the the son of former NBA player Tito Horford. Horford played collegiately for the University of Florida Gators. He was the starting center on both the 2006 and 2007 Division I National Championship teams. Al Horford attended Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Michigan, USA, and was a star player on its basketball team. He was rated a four star recruit by rivals.com. Horford was quickly picked by many fans as a top 5 pick in the draft. On June 28, 2007, he was selected 3rd overall by Atlanta Hawks in the 2007 NBA Draft. On May 1, 2008 he finished second in voting to the Seattle SuperSonics' Kevin Durant for Rookie of the Year. On May 13, 2008, he was the only unanimous selection to the 2008 Rookie First Team. During the 2007-2008 playoffs Horford managed 12.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG and 1.0 BPG. Standing 6ft. and 10 inches, Horford plays as center/powerforward. He is known as an ace rebounder, having led the Atlanta Hawks and all rookies in rebounding in his rookie season. He is also an efficient passer, as of now he leads all centers in assists. His importance was keyed in when the Hawks took eventual NBA champion Boston Celtics to 7 games in the first round of the 2008 playoffs. He was aquired from Atlanta for Tyrus Thomas, Anthony Roberson, and 2 future 1st round picks.

Brad Miller / #52 / Center

Born: Apr 12, 1976 in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Height: 7-0 / 2,13
Weight: 260 lbs. / 118,4 kg.
College: Purdue
Years Pro: 11

2008-09 Statistics
PPG 12.3 /RPG 7.1/ APG 4.4/ EFF + 17.34

Brad Miller attended East Noble High School, located in Kendallville, Indiana. He later attended the Maine Central Institute, a private High School in Maine, where notable NBA players, such as Sam Cassell and Caron Butler, also attended before entering the college game. During his career at Purdue, he became one of only four players to record 800 rebounds and the only player in school history to have 1,500 points, 800 rebounds and 250 assists. After college, because of the NBA lockout, Miller started his career at the club level in Italy playing for Bini Viaggi Livorno for three months before he was signed by the Charlotte Hornets as an undrafted free agent. He played for the Hornets for two seasons. He then played for the Bulls, Pacers, and the Kings and finally, the Bulls, again. He was aquired by the Bulls on February 18, 2009 with John Salmons for Drew Gooden, Andres Nocioni, and Cedric Simmons. Despite his size, Miller is not in the mold of a traditional center. He has only averaged double-digit rebounds once in his career and has never averaged more than 1.2 blocks per season. Preferring shooting midrange jump shots, he is a very efficient scorer and one of the top-shooting big men in the league. For his career, he has averaged 49.7% from the field and 79.4% from the free throw line. The main thing that sets him apart from other centers is his passing. In 2005–2006, he averaged 4.7 assists per game, good for 29th in the league but far above what other centers averaged (Ben Wallace was second among centers with 1.9 APG). The Princeton offense run by the Kings both allows and demands Miller to be a good passer and he is typically recognized as one of the best-passing big men in the league. Miller has also recently added a three-point shot to his game. In 2005–2006, he attempted an average of 1.1 three pointers per game and made 38.6% of them. One of the main negatives about Miller is his durability, as he has never completed a full season. On July 10, 2008, Miller was suspended by the NBA for 5 games at the beginning of the 2008–2009 season for violations of the league's substance abuse policy.

Thanks Spaky, Thats exactly what i thought when i got Horford. Hope D-Rose & Horford=D-Will & Boozer. I also based my team off the 1992-1993 bulls. I have question for any readers, How can i get the boxscores and images off 2k9 in my 360 to my computer? I can use my phone but it might be blurry. But one feature that nba 2k9 has on 360 is the reel maker which actually makes mixes and recaps of your games but i need to transfer that to my computer. I have xbox live......
Any suggests are welcomed. :)
