Before I actually start my Dynasty, I'm gonna play a few games to get the feel of it and get used to the new buttons. Also Andrew will hopefully tell me what number his sliders are on, so I can get the game as realistic as possible.
I want to play 12 min quarters in a 82 game season. I'll up the difficulty as I get more experienced.
Oh, I'll prolly have Jerry Stackhouse on the IR for the first 5 games, like he likely will in real life, so for the first 5 games, my starters will be:
C- Brendan Haywood
PF- Kwame Brown
SF- Jarvis Hayes
SG- Larry Hughes
PG- Gilbert Arenas
6th Man:
Jared Jeffries
Once Stackhouse comes back, Hayes moves to the bench and becomes 6th man.

MJ, I can't wait to hear from your franchise either. Will you be making a site up. I can't decide which team to use when I get the PC version but I have a semi-site up already.

Nah, I'm too busy doing my Inside The NBL site. I'll just keep y'all updated here in this thread. Glad to see y'all looking forward to the start of my franchise.

Hell yeah, I, for one, am looking forward to it. Try and make something of poor Kwame Brown
.

I've finally got the game guys, so once I've played a few games, got all the correct rosters and Andrew has told me his slider settings, then I'll start the Dynasty.
I've already played one game in Washington against Cleveland. Very high scoring game, played 12 min quarters, and I lost 139-137, in regulation.

One thing that has annoyed me is that the collision is a bit over done, coz if you hit the guy, you get go flying back 6 feet. That is the only thing that's annoyed me thus far.

no, not in the air. ON the court. say gilbert arenas is handling the ball on jason kidd is guarding him, if kidd plays tight d, it will most likely cause to fall of balance coz he was hit. andrew has told me this can be adjusted though.

That's not part of the Dynasty right? Btw, any concrete day you gonna start? Who will be your go-to guy this time? Brown (Like you did with 2003) or Arenas?
Thu Nov 06, 2003 12:24 pm
No, it was only an exhibition game. I don't have a concrete date as to when I'll start, but most likely when I've got the ratings for Shane Heal, James Lang, Alex Garcia, Alexsander Pavlovic and Mitchell Butler.

What about my other question...? Your go-to guy will be...? * I feel like a reporter
*

Oh, sorry. While Jerry Stackhouse is out, Gilbert will be the main man, then when Stackhouse comes back in December, he will be the man.

I will definitely be starting my Wizards Dynasty tonight. Lemme do a lil preview:
Washington @ Chicago
Wizards Starters:
Brendan Haywood
Kwame Brown
Jarvis Hayes
Larry Hughes
Gilbert Arenas
Bulls Starters:
Eddy Curry
Tyson Chandler
Scottie Pippen
Jalen Rose
Jamal Crawford
With Jerry Stackhouse not being available for an undetermined amount of time for the Wizards, the Wizards will get a look of what their future may hold. Scottie Pippen is playing as a Chicago Bull for the the first time since the Bulls last won the NBA Championship in 1998. Pippen has never missed the playoffs in his career, and doesn't look to start that this season. But can Gilbert Arenas deliver on his promise on take the Wizards to the playoffs. Well, it all starts in Chicago.

The Wizards had a 6 point lead going into the 4th quarter, but just like in the 2nd quarter, the Wizards poor shooting cost them dearly. The Wizards opened the season with a loss. I can't remember exactly, but the score was pretty high, something like 134-118. Brendan Haywood recored a triple double for the Wizards, with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 11 blocks. Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with 31 points.
Season Record: 0-1

The Wizards got off to an awful start in the game, ending the 1st quarter down by 18 points. But they never gave up, and went into the half time break up by 2. From there, it was pretty much even the entire 2nd half, as the Wizards held on for a 133-128 victory in Toronto. Gilbert Arenas was POG with 36 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists. Kwame Brown had 24 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Wizards have their season opener against Eddie Jordan's former team, the New Jersey Nets.
Season Record: 1-1
(Note: I'm prolly gonna bring down the shooting sliders just a tad more for both User and CPU)
Thu Nov 06, 2003 11:31 pm
The Wizards played their season opener against the New Jersey Nets, only to come up short 138-136. Gilbert Arenas potential game tying shot hit the back rim and Alonzo Mourning grabbed the boards. He was named POG in the Nets victory. Kwame Brown continued his imazing improvement from the past 2 seasons, recording his first career triple double, with 24 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocks.
The Wizards face the Dallas Mavericks next @ MCI Center.
Season Record: 1-2

Hey mjforever! Having fun with ur new dynasty?
Just want to ask you and anyone in general...what's with the blocks? is there a slider which ui can decrease it with...cause i don't think double-digit blocking is very realistic...anyway, are u gonna make any trades this season?
Oh...is Juanny Dixon gettin' any love?
Fri Nov 07, 2003 11:09 pm
Yeah, I gotta turn down the sliders for both steals and blocks (might have already done it after the last game, can't remember). But I will try to make the same trade the real Wizards made, Jahidi White for Brevin Knight.
Fri Nov 07, 2003 11:20 pm
Wizards Acquire Suns Knight
Washington Wizards President of Basketball Operations MJForever announced today that the Wizards have acquired guard Brevin Knight from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for center Jahidi White.
“Jahidi has been a solid part of this team for five seasons and his contributions to the franchise and the community are to be commended. Jahidi will have an opportunity to play more minutes with Phoenix,” said MJForever. “By acquiring a veteran guard in Brevin Knight, will make our point guard position even more competitive.”
Washington selected the 6-9 White in the second round (43rd overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft. White played in one game this season.
Knight has averaged 7.5 points, 1.8 steals and 6.5 assists per game in his seven-year career. He was selected in the first round (16th overall) by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1997 NBA Draft. Knight spent just over three seasons with Cleveland before being traded to the Atlanta Hawks in 00-01. Knight spent the past two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies before moving to Phoenix this season.
