A Second Shot

Mon Jul 30, 2012 3:06 am

Things of been rough for former UNLV Point Guard TreVon Willis who only averaged 13 points in his senior season after he averaging 17 the season before. He wasnt taken by any NBA team in the 2011 draft. He spent the whole 2010-2011 season a free agent never picked up but he kept working. The commissioner reached out to TreVon and asked him to play in the 2012 rookie showcase and get a second opportunity to enter the draft. The 6'4 combo guard gladly took the offer and got straight to work training for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

(I know you cant enter the draft twice but it wont let me go straight to free agency)

Rookie Showcase

TreVon is the starting 2 guard for the Elites. This is the first look we will get of Willis playing anything besides the 1 which was all he ran in college. On the Elites first possession Tre hits an open 3 to give them a quick lead. Willis showed a lot of promise in the first half but he also showed a lot of inconsinsity. He had 4 rebounds 2 assists 1 steal and is leading the elites with 9 points. The Stars dominated the game wig 88-63 TreVon finished the game with 17 points 7 rebounds 2 assists and 2 steals.
