Great team choice; I've had a soft spot for the Clippers since I went to California and saw them in 2010. Good luck with this, I hope you break the Clipper curse.

Foye is a player that has a tendency to overachieve in these games. Chauncey would make a pretty sweet 6-man too.

And Clipper Darrell gave out his screen name on his Twitter account. It took a few attempts to get a game going, because he had too many up, but I persisted and finally got one with him

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

The Los Angeles Clippers today announced a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves; involving four draft picks and no players. The Clippers sent their next two second-round picks to Minny for their current first and second rounder.

David Kahn allegedly offered the Clips this trade and was quoted saying, "The first round pick will not be in the lottery. We are a top four seed this year and therefore we don't need extra talent."

I'm sure that everyone is as baffled as I am, the Timberwolves, although they are full of great talent and what-not, are still destined for a top ten pick. This is an absolute steal for the other LA team, giving up two un-needed picks.

Up next in the Clipper report is the game of the month against the New York Knicks. The Clippers are yet to get a win after going down in their second game against the Detroit Pistons.

Kahn may be stupid, but not that stupid. Not really realistic lol.

Cr0ss0v3rK1ng, it was offered to me but I had to give up Ryan Gomes, and I tried it without him and they accepted. As a Wolves fan, I expect Kahn to do things like that.

MELO DROPS BOTH 50 AND THE GAME
GAME OF THE MONTH
Los Angeles Clippers @ New York Knicks

Inspired by the retro jerseys maybe? Fired up because it's the Madison Square Garden? Unhappy with previous play?

All that matters is the Los Angeles Clippers took down Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks. Trailing by as much as sixteen in the third quarter, the Clippers came back strong for a two-point win they won't forget for a while. The final score was 121-119 in a very high scoring affair; Carmelo Anthony leading all scorers to get a career high fifty points. Chris Paul led the way for the Clips with a good thrity-three point showing, shooting thirteen from eighteen from the field.

The Clippers took the lead in the first, the largest being by nine points, led by Randy Foye and Chauncey Billups. Melo was on fire, the other LA team concentrated on shutting down the team around himm. However, Amar'e Stoudemire led the stiff resistance to cut the deficit to just two at the end of the first quarter.

The Knicks then tied the game at the half before having a massive third quarter. Leading by a total of sixteen after five minutes, a strong fourteen to two run by the Clippers made the game a bit closer. It was neck and neck for the rest of the quarter, defense an afterthought as the ball was flying in the hole from all directions. New York took a six point lead going into the last term.

The atmosphere in the Madison Square Garden was electric for the first two minutes of the final stanza, until Chauncey Billups hit three straight shots from downtown and it looked like the Clippers were running away with their first win of the season. However, rookie Iman Shumpert and sophomore Landry Fields led a charge to cut the lead to two with a minute left on the clock. But then Mr. Big Shot stepped up and hit a deep two under duress to beat the shot-clock and put the pressure on. Alas, that wasn't game over. Carmelo Anthony brought the ball up the court but was stripped by Chris Paul who threw the ball to Caron Butler, who hit the easy two from the elbow with twenty on the clock. The Knicks took the time out and sent the ball in, which was tipped by Blake Griffin. They hit two more points and Iman Shumpert was fouled out sending Chauncey Billups to the line who uncharacteristically missed his two shots.

With just five seconds left and down by four, New York settled on giving the ball to Stoudemire who nailed a buzzer-beating two to end the game.

November 2011 Review

November saw the thrills and spills of the NBA brought back for another year. Four teams undefeated, one without a win. But more importantly, the Clippers got off to a dodgy start, being blown out in their first two games against the Golden State Warriors and the Detroit Pistons before bouncing back to defeat the New York Knicks in their first away game of the season in a high scoring affair.

The big news has been CP3 coming to town and making an impact, as well as other new arrivals Chauncey Billups and Caron Butler helping out. Having never won a division, conference or NBA title, the Clippers are looking for their best ever season and look to make a massive splash in the playoffs.

December 2011 Review

The Clipper Report did not feature a Game of the Month in December; as they decided to spotlight the huge matchups against the Miami Heat and the Clippers' older brother, the Lakers in January. Kicking off the month with a disappointed three point loss against the Indiana Pacers where they conceded forty points in the last quarter, the Clips came back strong to enter the New Year on a three game winning streak. They blew out both the Charlotte Bobcats and the New Orleans Hornets (would of been feature game if I didn't destroy them) before scraping a one point win away in Utah against the Jazz.

LA faces a very tough January schedule, taking on Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Miami, Dallas, the Lakers and Portland in what will be a major test of the young team.

The big news coming out of the Clippers' camp today is the resigning of two combo guards.

Veteran Chauncey Billups will play for one more year, earning the league minimum. He turns 36 next year and it is quite likely that next season will be his last. Randy Foye has also agreed to the exact same deal as Billups, as the Clippers will want cap space to resign Chris Paul if he accepts his player option and lets his contract run out.

The Chris Paul situation is very important for the Clippers if they intend on staying in the championship hunt, though he has been quoted he wants to "test his free agency value this off-season."

All I can say is that once the season ends, life for the LA staff will be veeeeery interesting...

The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated in a canter by LeBron James and the Miami Heat on Saturday. The Big 3 of James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh all fired to give the Heat a seven point victory and win 112-105. The King led all scorers with thirty five points, which was vital to holding off a spirited charge by LA at the death.

After the first quarter ended with level scores, the visiting Heat scored sixty two points in the second and third terms to take a fourteen point advantage into the final stanza. With victory almost assured, South Beach's second stringers hit the floor to get some minutes up. This sparked a big run by the Clippers, getting within four points when the Big 3 hit the floor again. With two minutes left, the Clips were down by twelve.

Enter Chauncey Billups (and Chris Paul somewhat).

Billups hit three quick shots from behind the arc to get LA within one score. However, Mario Chalmers stepped up and nailed a three of his own. His opposing position in CP3 hit a deep one of his own with ten seconds on the clock. Udonis Haslem then was fouled and hit both clutch free throws. Paul then missed a hurried attempt and Chris Bosh hit a fast break dunk to seal the deal.

January 2012 Review

With the new year there was plenty of basketball full of dunks, three pointers, injuries, buzzer beaters and B-Scal. Everyone's favourite LA team, the Clippers went 2-3, losing against LeFucktard and then against Kobe. It was a decent month though, the Clips resigned Chauncey Billups as well as Dandy Randy Foye. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both tried to establish themselves as All-Stars and Ryan Gomes was just keeping it real with his mohawk.

February is a big month for basketball fans, the Clippers have five matches before the All-Star break and then play the Minnesota Timberwolves before the trade deadline. The big question is whether the Clippers will have a crack at trading for Dirk Nowitzki, who has been on the trading block since early December. Only time will tell...
