As an idea, what I do is I just save the picture as a snapshot then take the picture files that I want, go to picasion.com, which is a site that makes animated gifs.

I don't edit my pics at all, I'm not sure if others do, although I used MS Paint to include captions for my first story (totally unnecessary IMO).

I use photoshop for making things like banners, playoff trees, things like that. Ulead GIF Animator (props to Thierry) for the Dream/Glide pic slideshow I use for the playoffs, and then Excel (props to Martti. for this) for tables like standings, league leaders, etc. It's time consuming yes, but as a whole, it does make your updates visually appealing. Try using GIMP, it is for free and almost the same with Photoshop.

For me, i just make the picture's size all equal to make it look neat.

mine are bitmaps (.bmp), but I think jpg's and png's would work fine when making gifs.

I don't know if 2k does this, but box scores can be saved into a .txt in Live. Just a little tip.

Wow thanks everyone for your suggestions. KYK , I think I'm gonna use Excel for boxscores, standings, etc., & Gimp for photo editing. Thanks for all suggestions, I'm gonna get some stuff ready today & tommorow, & this should officialy start Monday or so. Once again, thanks for all suggestions.

EDIT: I've decided to not use GIMP or photoshop, my editing's pretty bad. trust me it'd be better if I just stuck to my regular format. There will still be changes, & I'll try to se my camera to get pics from games.Also, Axel,minf if I use some of your team logos, If anyone is willing to make a banner for this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I save PNG's for the transparent backgrounds; don't have any issues when making GIF animations. As Axel said, PM me if you have any questions, good luck!

The team logos I use are NBA.com's. Just go to NBA.com, scroll over where it says 'Teams' on the top left corner, and Teams again. That's where I get the logos. Will also make an attempt at a banner/sig if you want, but don't expect anything too good out of me. PM me if you have any ideas.

NBA Lockout 11’: The Aftermath





The NBA lockout is finally over, as an agreement was made in a NY courthouse earlier this morning. A new CBA has been made, but there are still challenges to face this season. While no games were affected by the lockout, free agency was hit, big time. There will be no free agency period, & teams can only sign free agents to one year contracts, which will result in a gigantic free agency period next season. “We know it’s a hassle”, NBA Commissioner David Stern said, during a press conference, held earlier this afternoon, “, but it’s what has to be done if we don’t want to lose this season”.

“It’s very disappointing “, says current free agent Wilson Chandler, “it just creates more problems for the league, you know, I’d rather lose games than have to sign with a team & just go into free agency again next season”. Many other players agree, sending messages via Twitter. Greg Oden said, via his account, “ just when you though everything was gonna be alright, they smash us with only being able to stay with a team for a year @NBA, get it together”. Some disagree, though, Hornets guard Chris Paul said, “it gives the free agents a chance to sort of, test run, the team they sign with this season, and if they don’t like the team, then they an just leave, so I think it gives them a huge advantage.

Like it or hate it, many fans, & players alike are just glad to have all 82 games to play, watch, & enjoy. We’ll keep you posted for further news on the Lockout aftermath.

I will post the best marquee matchups for the thursdays each month. You'll then vote for which one you want me to play the most. It's basically like Hova's game of the month, except only the games played on thursday.

For 360 go to Operation SPorts- NBA 2K- NBA 2K Rosters, & then choose a 11-12 season roster. It should have alll the right rookies on their.
