THE FACTS: Kobe Bryant score 28 points and had a perfect game from the freethrow line (12-12) to led the Los Angeles Lakers to it’s first win of the season against the Houston Rockets 95-85. Pau Gasol added 16 points, three in blocks and steals but only grabbed two rebounds. Kevin Martin had 16 points while Yao Ming added 14 points and eight rebounds
THE STAT: Lamar Odom who starts this game for the injured Andrew Bynum added 19 points, nine rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block.
TURNING POINT: After Bryant hit a buzzer beater in the first quarter the Lakers momentum continues and start the second quarter with a 10-0 run. The LA never trailed after that.
HOT: The Lakers shot 95% (19-20) of their freethrows, only Shannon Brown missed a freethrow.
NOT: Both teams struggled to score outside the arc, the Lakers only shot 18% (2-11) while the Rockets shot 30% (7-23)
ROOKIE WATCH: Patrick Patterson of the Houston Rockets had 7 points, two rebounds, one steal and one block in 8 minutes of playing time.
