Background: I do not like the new Raptors squad, and after seeing a massive shakeup (only 3 players from last year's training camp retained), I might do an association with one as well. Welcome to my Toronto Raptors association.

Yeah, Colangelo made some pretty awful moves. Very overrated GM, his gaffes not limited to the Raptors era. Interesting to see how you got that roster. I would recommend swapping Randolph and Marion's positions.

RAPTORS RETAIN MARION, RESCIND OFFER TO TURKOGLUJuly 6, 2009 12:14 PM EST

Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo have reached to a decision of retaining the versatile forward Shawn Marion, after rumors of Hedo Turkoglu coming to Toronto filled the news.
Turkoglu will now sign with the Trail Blazers, alongside Andre Miller, while Marion will be earning roughly around $8 million this year.
"This is a great move for us. Shawn will give us rebounding and toughness inside, something we lacked last season," said Bryan Colangelo in an interview.
This is an unfortunate event for the Dallas Mavericks, after rumors went around that the Mavericks were willing to take part in a sign-and-trade deal with Toronto that would involve Marion heading to Dallas.

RAPTORS TRADE PICK TO CAVS FOR GREENJuly 7, 2009 12:14 PM EST

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors have agreed in principle to a deal that would send Danny Green (the 46th pick of the 2009 NBA Draft) to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a 2nd round pick in 2011 plus cash considerations.
The forward from North Carolina held a pre-draft workout with the Raptors on May 5, 2009, and seems to have impressed many of the Raptors' executives and coaching staff.
"He really looks like a steal with that pick, and I'm glad that we were able to get him," said Raptors' head coach Jay Triano.

WARRIORS' CURRY, RANDOLPH HEAD TO TORONTO FOR BARGNANI, DEROZANJuly 9, 2009 12:14 PM EST

Just a day after Bryan Colangelo extended Andrea Bargnani to a $50 million contract, the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors agree to a trade that would send the Italian center plus 9th pick of the draft, DeMar DeRozan and Quincy Douby to the Warriors in exchange for the 7th pick of the draft Stephen Curry, Anthony Randolph and Speedy Claxton.
This is a surprising trade, as many Raptors fans wanted to see the athletic forward out of USC in a Raptors uniform.
Stephen Curry, son of former NBA player Dell Curry who last played for the Raptors coincidentally, is Davidson's all-time leading scorer with more than 2,488 career points.
It could be possible that forward Reggie Evans, recently acquired in a rare June 1 trade last season, would be gone before the season opener.

CLIPPERS NOT YET DONE WITH BUTLER, AGREE TO DEAL WITH RAPTORSAug 12, 2009 12:14 PM EST

The Clippers have acquired small forward Carlos Delfino and point guard Roko Ukic from the Toronto Raptors in a recently agreed sign-and-trade for Rasual Butler (recently acquired from Hornets for a 2nd round pick) and DeAndre Jordan.
Delfino last played for Russian team Khimki BC.

some trades and signings in recent post. thanks for reply

The trades are pretty good,i just don't like that you traded DeRozan.
Everything else looks sweet.

Sad to see Bargs go, as he is my favorite Raptor, but I think Anthony Randolph is a budding superstar. Don't know what Curry does for your team though.

Also like the Butler deal. Good little trade.
Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:40 pm
Lamrock, Curry = scorer. Bargs is soft and can't play defense. Plus I like Rasual Butler's underrated defense, kinda reminds me of Anthony Parker
TheDee, Haven't really seen much of DeRozan lately, thanks to Triano.
Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:51 pm
The Raptors need more offensive firepower?
Mon Nov 23, 2009 5:13 pm
^^no just a balance of both defence and offence
curry, randolph, butler bring in offence
randolph, marion, butler bring in defense.

I really like the look of this association, even though I really hate the Raptors, so I might actually be rooting for your team to have a poor season
Really like the layout!

Yeah, you should. Anyway, love your roster. Looks like you're going for high-tempo. Love the deals you've made.

I'm also jumping onto this bandwagon. Loving the trades.

Seems like youre definitely liking the older Raptors and I guess they are the better team. Your last dynasty was great. Looking forward

WOW! That recap style is wicked, love it!

.. Tough first loss there. The rebounding difference hurt you a fair bit probably because of the amount of missed 3's ... 3/16 ? ouch that hurts. Nice from line though, 16/16 100% always good to make a high percentage of free throws. All in all, it looks like a promising start to the season really... Looking forward to more.

Nice recap. Too bad the Cavs beat you.
Wed Nov 25, 2009 12:20 am
The recap is perfect. Although one page could be the box score perhaps.
But it looks brilliant.

Sweet recap. Tough loss though. Delonte West is one ugly bastard, really. He did not score as well against me, but this guy is going for reach in all the time and plays tough D.
Better luck next time.

Yep looking really good.
Props for that man!

TomCat,
Sit,
hova-, it's the opposite of what happened in reality
Martti., i don't think i can put box score because the way that box scores are laid out in 2k10. I like more the way box scores are laid out in nba live, just in one page
thierryhenry50, you're still the best
My connection has been slow lately and I am absolutely sure this will be fixed in less than 2 days from the date of this post. Next games will be posted in 48 hours.
