Jason Smith Traded for Donte Greene




The Sacramento Kings and the Philadelphia 76ers had fast agreed on a deal between them.The rookie from Syracuse - Donte Green was traded to the Sixers in exchange of second-year power forward from Colorado State Jason Smith.The Sixers also gave the Kings a draft pick from next year's draft from the 2nd round.
Donte Greene is 206 centimetres tall and he weights 100 kilograms.In the 07-08 season with Syracuse he has averaged 17.7 points,7.2 rebounds,2.0 assists,1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks.He'll be reserve of Thaddeus Young.

Greene was one of my favorite rookies at the start of the year. Nice pick-up! Smith was meaningless anyway with all the bigs you have.

The Sixers win in their first game this season.The game started slowly and carefully.The two teams didn't try so many things in offense while they were defending good,they made some mistakes in the first quarter because of this defense and after the first quarter it was all tied 21 to 21.Andre Iguodala scored 9 points in this first quarter to carry his team.

The second quarter started with a Thaddeus Young scoring a three-pointer from the angle.He gave his team a 24 to 21 lead.After this three-pointer it was again point-by-point game.Philadelphia made some electrifying fast breaks one of them finished with amazing dunk(at the bottom) from Thaddeus Young.

In the 3rd it was other thing.The Sixers played Louis Williams in their 5 for the quarter and he bring some energy for them.He scored 8 of his 12 points in this quarter including a 3-pointer.Philadelphia played really good this quarter.Everybody saw that they were better.Elton Brand also took a good part of this quarter and that helped him to get the Player of The Game award.

Elton Brand scored 12 points in the last quarter to carry his team to the win.The Sixers finished their great run in the second half with 43 points in this quarter.They just can't stop scoring,they were scoring inside,outside..from everywhere.In the last 3 minutes the Sixers look like this : Ratliff,Evans,Greene,Green,Williams.Tony DiLeo gave the starting five a rest,and they watched how their teammates are playing good.

Elton Brand finished with 27 points,7 rebounds and 1 steal on a 12-17FG,bringing the Jordan player of the game award.Andre Iguodala didn't play like he wanted.He wasn't satisfied with his performance,anyway he scored 20 points,3 rebounds and 4 assists.Thaddeus Young also played good with 17 points,5 rebounds and 3 assists.Louis Williams went on 5 - from - 7 shooting to score 12 points from the bench.Andre Miller was near recording a double-double with 10 points and 9 assists.Sam Dalembert added 11 points and 7 rebounds.The newcomer Donte Greene finished with 9 points,4 rebounds and 1 assist.

Jose Calderon was the only player who was doing something for the Raptors in the second half as he scored 21 points and 12 assists.Andre Bargnani finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds.Shawn Marion played a good part in this game with 18 points,4 rebounds,3 assists,2 steals and 1 block.The superstar of the Raptors - Chris Bosh,added 16 points,5 rebs and 5 assists.

NBA NEWS

Hornets can't overcome Crawford's 23 in Warriors win.Rose's clutch performance carries Bulls to win 113 to 112 against the Bucks.Russell Westbrook scored 16 points,10 assists,7 rebounds in his NBA debut while Durant scored 30 points to help the Oklahoma City for their first ever NBA win.

The Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks played one of the games of the season,a historic game.It was amazing what the two teams did.That was their night.They all had luck,they were all scoring.It was just amazing,everybody will talk for this game.
It started with a 5 - 0 run for the Sixers,but then the sides turned up,the Knicks take the lead after 10 points by Duhon,and 9 by Lee,9 by Harrington they did just nice work.They didn't let Sixers scoring and they made some nice three-pointers.At the end of the quarter it was 42 to 27.As the second quarter started no one knows what is going to happen.In this quarter the Sixers started making history.It was Iggy's quarter as he scored 14 points here.Philadelphia was scoring and scoring..from everywhere..fastbreaks,treys,inside,outside,EVERYWHERE!!! They scored the amazing 50 points in one quarter.Anyway,the Knicks continue playing good,the half finished with two point lead for the Knicks - 79 to 77.Iggy had 24 at the half.On the other side,Duhon had 21 and Harrington 17.
In the 3rd,the Philadelphia's run continued.New York couldn't stop them and it goes 32 to 36.
The last quarter was just amazing.In the last minute and a half,the two teams scored 14 points each.It was like "sixers ball(time : 1,2,3..)THREEE,knicks ball aaand its iiiiiin!!Duhon and Iggy scored 1-2 three-pointers to make the finish of the game more historic.But at the end the Sixers played better and they deservedly get the win,147 to 138.
Iguodala finished with career-high 38 points and including 7 assists and 4 rebounds.Thaddeus Young added 26 points and 2 rebounds to help Iggy.The rookie from Syracuse Donte Greene,surprised everyone with his 24 points.Andre Miller finished with 13 points and 9 assists,Willie Green scored 13 too.Marreesse Speights finished with double-double 12 points,10 rebounds.Lou Williams played also a nice part in this game with 9 points,5 rebounds and 8 assists.
Al Harrington scored 37 points for the Knicks.He added 7 rebounds and 3 assists.Chris Duhon finished with amazing double double,35 points,3 rebounds and 11 assists.This was his career night.David Lee and Wilson Chandler added 14 points both.


NBA NEWS

Derrick Rose continues his amazing play as he scored 24 in win over Celtics.Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points,12 rebounds and 5 assists to help Nuggets smashing the Clippers.Chris Paul with Plantar Fasciitis for 2-4 weeks,but he'll play.D-Wade scored 35 in Heat win over Kings.76ers trading Brand to Raptors ?

The Three Games Recap

In their first away game the Sixers struggled and they lost it in Atlanta.Before the half the Sixers were doing great,leading by 9 after 31 to 22 in the 2nd.But in the 3rd the homecrowd gave the power to their team and the Hawks win it 35 to 19.The Hawks won the 4th too with 29 to 21 and the game finished at 110 to 95.Marvin Williams scored 23 points and 10 rebounds for the win.For Philadelphia,Andre Miller played good with 23 points,11 assists and 3 rebounds.Iguodala added 19 points,7 rebounds and 8 assists.
After the game the Sixers and the Wolves agreed on a blockbuster trade,sending Elton Brand + 2 draft picks to Minnesota for future all-star Al Jefferson.Jefferson will make debut in the next game of the Sixers.

Dwight Howard scored 28 points and 9 rebounds but that couldn't help the Magic.The Sixers beat them 122 to 116.The game started slowly and calm.In the first the Magic made a 10 to 2 run in minute and a half but the Sixers get back.Louis Williams scored a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Sixers a 26 to 25 lead.Iguodala played nice again with his 11 points in the first.Jefferson had 7.
The second was for the Sixers.They won it 38 to 31.The key was the good percentage from long range.The Sixers finished 10 from 19 from the 3pt line.After the half,a nice quarter by Dwight and Hedo gave the Magic the lead.They get it with 28 to 18 and had 2 point lead before the last quarter.The bad in this 3th quarter was the injury of Thaddeus Young.It was a fastbreak and Young was going to dunk it,but Jameer Nelson pushed him in the back and Young felt bad.He has strained achilles and he'll be out for 2-4 weeks.
In the 4th the Magic held their lead 7 minutes and a half.But after a nice run from Iggy and the Sixers,and a three-pointer by Lou Williams the Sixers take the lead.They led all the way to the end and made it 6 points because of free throws in the last seconds.
Iguodala had 32 points,7 rebounds and 5 assists.Lou Williams made a nice bench performance with 24 points,2 rebounds and 3 assists.He was 4-8 from the 3pt line.Thaddeus Young scored 20 points and 7 rebounds before leaving the game.Andre Miller had also 20 but he made a nice game adding 8 rebounds and 6 assists.The Big Al finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds.Marreesse Speights didn't even score a point but he grabbed 9 rebounds.
Rashard Lewis helped Dwight with 19 points and 10 rebounds.The point guard,Jameer Nelson,finished strong with 15 points and 15 assists.

Ed Stefanski Fired !




Today the Sixers announced that their GM,Ed Stefanski,will no more work with them.He'll now search for a new work.He was fired because he was involved in a fight with the head coach Tony DiLeo in a restaurant after the game against Orlando.It seems like Stefanski drunk more alcohol.He and coach DiLeo started fighting because Stefanski told DiLeo that he is a "co*ksuc*er" and he sucks up the owners of the club.Tony DiLeo throws his whiskey in the face of Ed and then started the fight.The owners told that is inadmissibility and they fast fired the GM.They were talking about firing DiLeo but will see...

Ed Stefanski had some offers from clubs in the eastern conference but will see his choose in days.

Stefanski Hired at Bobcats



After a whole season without work,after the fight with Tony DiLeo,Ed Stefanski will be the new GM of the Charlotte Bobcats.After a good season and first positive record for them(42 - 40,but not making the playoffs) the Bobcats hire Ed Stefanski.The new GM said that he's extremely happy about working with one of the greatest coaches ever in face of Larry Brown.

Lamar Odom traded to Bobcats




Just hours after he's been hired,Ed Stefanski made a nice trade sending Boris Diaw and '10 1st round draft pick to the OKC Thunder.In exchange the Bobcats receive the ex-LA Lakers player - Lamar Odom.Odom was so unhappy lefting the Lakers and heading to Oklahoma,he told the truth.But now he said that he's happy about working for Larry Brown and MJ and Ed Stefanski and he hopes that the Bobcats CAN make the playoffs this year for first time in their history.

The Bobcats won their first game of the season as they beat the Bucks in a really interesting game.Charlotte led all the game,Bucks were trying to took the lead but they couldn't.In the end of the game Milwaukee tried to do something after the subs of Charlotte went in the game.After some Redd baskets and a 9 - 0 run in the last minute and half it was 105 to 102 for Bobcats,30 seconds before the end.In the next attack Raymond Felton made a 3-pointer and the game ends.
Gerald Wallace was the highscorer with 29 points,7 rebounds,3 assists,2 steals and 2 assists.D.J. Augustin surprised his coach Larry Brown after he made his career night,scoring 8-12 from the 3pt which means 26 points.Raymond Felton finished with double-double,16 points and 10 assists.Emeka Okafor scored 15 points and he grabbed 10 rebounds but the most important was that he made a team record 8 blocks.Lamar Odom finished with 14 points,11 rebounds and 3 assists.
For the Bucks Andre Miller finished with 16 points,10 assists and 5 rebounds.Charlie Villanueva added 19 points and 13 rebounds.

It did it agaaaaiiiin...i hate this game,my save is not opening more..i'll uninstall it and start a new tomorrow..sorry
