It is 6 A.M. in the morning when Cuban is waken up by the ringing of his cell phone
MC: *grunting* Who the hell is this calling me at 6? Elgin Baylor, what the hell does he want from me?
Mark Cuban answers the phone in a pissed off manner
MC: Hello……
EB: Hey buddy, whats up?
MC: *Yelling* CUT THE CRAP BAYLOR, WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW
EB: I’m going to give you an offer you can’t refuse
MC : That’s what you said last time, I don’t want your 2nd tier players, there’s nothing you can do to make me give up Dirk.
EB: no, this is something different, come to my office tomorrow and I’ll show you
*Cuban Hangs up the phone*
MC: I wonder what the bastard has up his sleeves now?

Subordinate : Baylor, someone’s here to see you
EB: Bring him in, honey
*Cuban marches down the hall with a distinguishable look of irritability on his face.*
MC: We’ll I’m here, whatcha got for me now Baylor, don’t make me wait
EB: I got a great idea, how about Jason Kidd for Baron Davis and Chris Kaman
MC: *Yelling* ARE YOU SHITTING ME, YOU HOW MUCH THAT’S GONNA COST JUST TO KEEP THEIR ASSES IN DALLAS!!?
EB: Please, please calm down,
MC: IM NOT GONNA CALM DOWN I KNEW THIS WAS A TRICK!
EB: You’ve got to understand with the economy constantly falling we’re trying to cut costs as much as possible and we really really can’t afford to have them on our payroll.
MC: So YOU want ME to clean up your mess? Not going to happen “buddy”
Cuban starts to walk towards the door
EB: No no please you have to help, I’m going to go bankrupt if Ican’t clear my cap somehow!?
Baylor jumps and clings on to Cuban’s leg and tears start coming down his face.
Cuban had never seen a man cry before, and that really got to his conscious.
MC: Damn, ok I’ll trade you pansy, you got the paper work ready?
EB: *Wiping his tears with his palms and pulling out a paper from his file cabinet* All you have to do is sign *pulls a pen out of a pocket for Cuban to sign*
MC: you’re gonna owe me for this
EB: No doubt man, No doubt whatever you say, I can’t give you enough thanks for bailing me out.
Fortunately for Mark Cuban,he would soon find out it would be a blessing in disguise for the Mavericks.

I thought Elgin Baylor got fired? And I doubt a guy like him would've clung onto Cuban's leg, that's horrible.

But you got Cuban right, sort of. And the Mavs did turn out that deal not too long ago. I'm intrigued.
