Huge wingspan... Excellent shot blocker... Runs the floor well... Has to add some pounds to his body and polish his offensive game... Low basketball IQ.

PF- Drew Gooden
Has great agility, athleticism and mobility... Great rebounding skills... Effective hook shot... Nice handle for a player his size, but there is room for improvement... A much more consistent player now than he was in the past.

SF- Thadeus Young
Good size for the small forward position... Great length and athleticism... Physically mature beyond his age... Very green... Still learning to play the game.

SG- Kevin Martin
Very good scorer... Good athlete... Long wingspan... Not very strong... Has developed a good three-point shot... Turnover prone.

PG- Derek Fisher
A threat from the three-point line... Able to hit big shots... Has problems when guarding quicker players... Gets lots of charges... Good steals-per-turnover ratio... Not a star, but the type of player you want on your team.

Tough post player... Works hard... Good rebounder... Not a guy to care about on the offensive end... Still in a good physical shape.

PF- Reggie Evans
Strong on the boards... Excellent rebounder... A workhorse... Plays dirty very often... Has no offensive game.

PF- Zarko Cabarkapa
Can put the ball on the floor... Great first step... Very effective driving to the basket... Quite a versatile player... Can be a matchup nightmare... Poor rebounding and defensive skills... Takes no advantage of his size in the post.

SF- Rodney Carney
Great first step... Quite an athlete... More than decent shooter... Inconsistent... Mediocre defender.

SG- John Salmons
Extremely versatile... High basketball IQ... Does a little bit of everything, but is not great at anything... Not an athletic freak... Jump shot needs work. Possible spot minutes at PG?

PG- Louis Williams
An athletic freak... Great scorer in high school... Undersized shooting guard... Lacks point guard instincts.

This could be good. 3-3-3-3 playoffs is a horrible idea though. Go through an 82 game season, only for the most exciting part of the season to be unrealistically brief.

Philadelphia shaking it up

The 76ers' Owner Comcast-Spectator was in disqust after last season's
35-47 record fired their General Manager Billy King and hired Dan Springer
who at this moment is a complete no name to us we have no idea where
he came from or if hes up to the challenge of running this franchise.

But what we do know is that he pulled two trades after his inauguration.
Cleveland felt like they needed a true PG someone who can play D and
spread the ball around and most importantly to their superstar, LeBron James.
Dan Springer after studying last years' highlights came to the conclusion that
young multi-talent Andre Igudola could in fact run the PG especially sharing
minutes with rookie PG Louis Williams. Which also causes some mismatches.
And he realized Cleveland needed a bench Center who could one day
replace Illgauskas and he thought that he would fit into Cleveland's system
well so he tossed Jason Smith into this deal: Andre Miller, Jason Smith for Drew
Gooden and Damon Jones. Damon Jones was later released.

But the trading didn't end there. Then Mr. Springer had a hunch that Washington
was pursuing a guy who could come off the bench and score shooting
from anywhere on the court and Mr. Springer instantly thought of young sharp-shooter
Kyle Korver. So he packaged him this deal: Kyle Korver for Brendan Haywood.
General Manager Dan Springer the next day checked his PDA to find both
teams did in fact accept the trades. Needless to say GM Springer got a pat
on his back from Comcast-Specatator.

Then he released Center C. Booth, Forward S. Randolph, Forward L. Amndson,
Guard K. Ollie and Guard D. Jones

Nice recap and very fair trades. Glad to see you using a couple of my suggestions. With just 10 players on your roster though, which FA's will you sign to get to 12 players? The two best free agents are PF-C's, positions you are quite strong in, so I'm curious to see what you do.

Keep it up! Are you going to play the full games (of the 29 you are doing) or sim intervene? Also, its Iguodala; know how your star player's name is spelled.

The thing that Iguodala is your starting pg is really strange , I dont think that this would work but it will be interesting

Played him at PG too.. Will be a lot of fun. He's a good defender.

Welcome to your new home boys

Philadelphia has had a great trading and free agency period. Trading for
Cleveland work horse Drew Gooden who is a very good rebounder with
a up and coming offensive game. And to get the Cavaliers' sharp-shooter
Damon Jones in that deal was great for Philadelphia.

Cleveland certainly got what they have been looking for for a few
seasons now, veteran point guard who can control the tempo of the game
and dish out assists to help develop the younger players of the team acquiring
, Andre Miller. And they even got a guy to back up Zydrunas
Ilgauskas which they desperately needed with the departure of
Anderson Varejao.

Philadelphia just acquired Forward, Zarko Cabarkapa, from the
Free Agency, who most recently had a stint with the Golden State
Warriors last season and got cut. Philadelphia also announced they
signed NBA Draft bust Jay Williams. They must feel like he deserves
another chance.

Iggy at PG should be an interesting experiment. Too bad I absolutely detest Drew Gooden and Damon Jones, otherwise I would have liked, or at least been neutral on your whole roster with the exception of Willie Green. Willie Green is garbage.

It's an interesting looking team, though. You've got very few good, high % shooters, but you have so many guys to clean the glass that it shouldn't be a huge problem.

I like Thad Young in the starting lineup, too.

After Z's statement at a press conference the night before the game
that he turned down other offers from teams that were more lucrative
to join a team that he thought was going in the right directions 76ers
fans doubted him. Every Philadelphia fan all seemed to have one
conclusion and that was they shouldn't of traded point guard Andre
Miller but newly inaugurated General Manager thought otherwise.

Philadelphia was down the 1st half of this game by 18 points after half
time so maybe GM Springer's actions of going out and getting three locker
room influences was a good plan. The team came alive like Frankenstein

Game 2, Phila 1-0, still a lot to prove. Some fans were amazed by game
1 but most just started to doubt even more. With remarks floating around
the city like "that game was a fluke" "Dalembert wont score 20 again in his
career" "Iggy can't really play the point" "the teams win was just good
luck". New comer Damon Jones was the first to hear these remarks first
hand when he was acquainting himself with the town. And when he was
asked regarding these remarks amongst fans he smiled and just replied
"they are wrong but fans are fans and pros are pros, fans don't see things
like we do. we as players are harder on ourselves then most we have a
tendency of second guessing everything we do early in the season. if the
fans won't take my word for it now they can just kick back be fans watch
the games come to the games and watch us explode."

After two impressive wins vs Atlanta and at Orlando, 76er fans had high
hopes that the team they have sticked by through thick and thin could
possibly send the 2006 NBA Champions packing and distraught back to
Miami.

The Heat came into Philadelphia just walking around warming up they truly
did believe that they had this game won before it was over. Well, Philly
felt differently.

The game started accordingly after the warm-ups. And it quickly seemed
that Miami forgot that they are not a 3-point shooting team. They shot 4
attempts in the first quarter missing 3. Coach Pat Riley quickly resorted to
calling a timeout. They were quick to turn around their game plan and
started passing the ball around in hopes of someone being open, well
someone was open quit often. Ricky Davis. He scored 10 points in the
first quarter to help give Miami a 9 point lead going into the 2nd quarter.

The whistle blew and the inbound pass was inbounded and this is when a
17 point run by Willie Green in the 2nd quarter began. He started it off by
draining 3 back-to-back 3-pointers. There was 9 points in less then 3
minutes. Then the team started passing around going to Gooden for 6
points and Haywood for a layup which he was fouled and he sank the
free-throw. Then Green took advantage of every shot he got from his
team mates making 5 out of 8 jumpers.

Philadelphia came into the 3rd quarter continuing their dominance shooting
outscoring Miami 30-13 in the 3rd quarter. Philadelphia's bench came in
and performed like they have been playing together for years. A lot of ball
movement and smart decisions. Williams, Cabarkapa, Carney, Evans, and
Jones combined for 19 key points in the 3rd quarter.

The 4th Quarter was under way and Miami looked [and played] like they
were well recovered from getting ran on in the 3rd Quarter. They were
down 74-60. Miami went on a 8-0 scoring run. To just watch Philly restore
their chemistry going for a 14-0 run. So Miami started to get physical trying
to get Dwayne Wade involved more just to find him getting blocked 3
time by Brendon Haywood. Pat Riley resorted to a quick time out but it
was too late. They were down 88-68 with 4 minutes to go and pulling off
a comeback would be a monumental feat. 4 minutes ran down quite fast.
Philadelphia improves their record to 3-0. Philly fans are hyped and see
big things happening very soon for their beloved team.

Willie Green scoring 27 and Philly being 3-0! Great recap, and win over the Heat. Love the presentation, and hopefully you can keep it up for the 82 game season. Your Sixers are pretty good. A low playoff seed isn't too out of reach.

Why do you indent your recaps, I think it looks kinda weird. Anyways, I'm surprised that your team is 3-0 especially if you are simming these games, I mean the 76ers on paper are not that good. I mean if you were playing the game, I wouldn't be shocked at all, but your simming it... good luck and don't forget to check out my dynasty when you got the time!
