Hi Guys, I'm new here... but I've been sharing game recaps of my various dynasties over the past year at a sports card forum in Australia and a mate told me about this site and I've had a bit of a look around and decided I would start with a thread for my latest Dynasty idea.
Timberwolves fan and One Tree Hill fan... led me to a pleasing thought. I would create Nathan and Lucas Scott and sign them to the Wolves.
For the record I've made Nathan a Small Forward an overall rating of 88 (inflated ego rating I know.... but given what else is on the team rating wise... you'll forgive me). Lucas I've made the Shooting Guard with an overal rating of 79.
Format: Live 2007 for PC, Dynasty.
Team: Minnesota Timberwolves
Vital Stats: 6 Min Quarters, Superstar level, slightly modified roster.
If you scroll down you will see I have reloaded and started again with a new format, as a result I have removed the irrelevent posts of an abandoned dynasty to tidy it up a bit.

A very unique idea, but I'm not sure whether we have many One Tree Hill fans here.
If you could, try posting up some pics. Good luck mate!

In that case it's just a couple of created dudes tryin to make the grade
I'll try and get some pics - but I worry about trying to do screen caps during game play and buggering up my rythem.

Yeah not bad for an ATI Radeon 256 Meg... not my first choice... but was best value at the time. I'm really getting into this screen cap thing... almost rather tell the story in pics than in a recap lol

Hey that would be cool, at least for Lucas - the standard face I picked for Nathan has kind of grown on me ha ha....

I have no idea what the hell One Tree Hill is about (isn't it like a soap opera thing?), but the ideas pretty interesting. I'd love to get a glimpse of some of the boxscores and check out some more stats though.

It's a soap/drama... but it was originally focused around the basketball aspirations of the Scott brothers... I'll take some caps of some stats for you in my next game

So quick question to anyone who might be reading - got some slider ideas because the standard sliders are too easy for me... I'm owning on most nights....

I'd be more into this dynasty if the 2 brothers were more realistically rated and slowly developed into stars and not just right away.
Traveling is more about the journey then the destination. I kinda see it that way, watching their journey into stardom would be more interesting and give people a chance to get into it. It's a little hard to digest as is in my humble opinion.,
good luck

I suppose I could do that... I'd have to go back, re-rate them, start a new dynasty... I dunno if I have the time to do season after season tho

agree with Devin112; would be nice to see their 'origin' before they became superhoroes

Nice wins.. And a decent presentation..

I'll give you that its original...

Okay so keeping with some comments given....
I am thinking of shaking things up.... obviously Nathan Scott is a dominant forward/shooting guard when playing likes of McGrady and co.... this definitely aids the ability of Lucas to get assists....
I'll grant you that Lucas is still a 79 but thats only five points more than Foye.....
I propose trading Nathan Scott.... and leaving Lucas to lead the team, with the obvious lesser lights around him....
Would this create more interest? In fact I'm even considering limiting his minutes for "reprimand" reasons for doing something young and foolish.... perhaps lashing out at the trade of his brother.... any thoughts??

if they're rookies then they should be rated in the low 70s. Lebron James was 69 his rookie year and that was lebron james. Here's the link -

plus, you just started it wouldn't be that hard to "reload" the dynasty.
Personally, speaking for myself alone, I would find this dynasty more compelling if you started them out as raw rookies. A compelling story would be if they were overlooked in the draft and picked by different teams and then traded to the same team, in an attempt to maximize their combined potential.
But hey, this is your dynasty man. Do what feels right to you and do it to the best of your ability. Do your thing man

You know you're right! It's just frustrating that when you create a player in Live you don't have the "potential" option that Madden has (Madden is my other love - I have one Dynasty in 05 for PS2 that is like 7 years in and the Cowboys were moved to LA lol) so there is no gaurantee that you can make them much better... but in the other perspective thats the best bit - making them better!
And I could reload with the patch I have for the current young Wolves Roster.... I could put one on the Wolves (my team) and one on Portland... my other team... Lucas would have to battle past telfair and Foye for PG.... and Nathan would have to battle past god knows who..... yeah the more I think about this the more I like it....
But does anyone know how to make the CPU use subs?? Is there an option because I couldn't find one....

TIMBERWOLVES/ONE TREE HILL RELOADED
Okay... after some consideration and some feedback I have come to the conclusion that I need to reload this franchise.... I'm going to start again with the roster mod for rosters as of mid august this year.... I've released Mark Blount so that I could sign Lucas Scott (rating of 68) to the Timberwolves roster.
I released some PG I never heard of from the Portland Roster to sign Nathan Scott (rating of 68).
The rest is a story to be told as my dynasty unfolds.... this may be rather graphic heavy so dialuppers please be aware.
Let me know if font is too small so I can try and improve future issues, but as its a publisher file that I have to screen Capture, I don't want to mess with it too much on that side as only using Paint SHop Pro 5 hehe.

Nice restart and layout man

Look forward to his steady ascension into the spotlight
EDIT: also dig the pickup of C-Webb; wonder if Jalen Rose is still out there
