A Denver Nuggets Dynasty |8-0| Week 5 Preview Released!

Sun Apr 29, 2007 2:45 am

Image

*Disclaimer's Note: The reason for choosing this Denver team was because, 1) I love the Nuggets and I think they got great potential, and 2) I checked in the Dynasty List and although you have 2 dynasties (whom by the way are great dynasties), I noticed that they arent updated regularly and I thought it was only right to provide you guys with an up-to-date Denver Nuggets Dynasty. So without further ado, enjoy :D

NEW GM/OWNER ANNOUNCED!

As the Nuggets enter the 2005-2006 season, Owner E. Stanley Kroenke has been relieved of all duties and will be replaced by another. The other, Jon Soto (ME), who previously managed the Syracuse Orangemen as well as Carmelo Anthony back in the day. Mr. Soto is known for his competiveness and desire to win all games his team plays. He was offered this job when Denver decided to turn a different direction and needed some fresh blood in their staff. Carmelo was the one who brought him and Carmelo is the one who got him hired as new GM/Owner. When asked about this, George Karl simply said, "If Carmelo says this guys good, then this guy MUST be good!" Bringing this dynamic duo back together will hopefully excel the Denver Nuggets down the right path.

As Mr. Soto's first order of business, it was his duty to take the 1.82M dollar budget they had and grab some new staff member fors the years to come. In doing so he was able to snag Asst. Coaches: Hobbes Perry and Glen Ishito. Perry who excels and Offense and Athletics and Ishito who excels in Defense. Mr. Soto snagged Trainer: Nicholas Yang who excels in the whole body and Scout: Willie Lovell who specializes in recruiting stars from Africa.

Training Camp/ Key Progressions/ Transactions

Sun Apr 29, 2007 3:33 am

Image

As the Nuggets were set for training camp, Mr. Soto had a brief discussion with Glen Ishito and Hobbes Perry about what exactly he wanted the team to focus on. He decided to have the Coaches work on their strentghs. So, Hobbes Perry will work on the teams Offense and Athletics and Glen Ishito will work on the teams Defense.

|HOBBES PERRY| 40% OFF.| 0% DEF.| 60% ATH.|
|GLEN ISHITO| 0% OFF.| 100% DEF.| 0% ATH.|

---------------------------------

As the training camp period camp to an end, 2 big future stars showed the most progress. Carmelo Anthony and Nene stepped up their game and proved why they were both key Draft picks for the Nuggets.

|CARMELO ANTHONY| +1 STEAL| +1 D. AWARE.| +1 JUMP| +1 STRGTH| +1 SPD|
|NENE| +1 STEAL| +1 D. REB.| +1 D. AWARE.| +1 SPD.| +1 HARDY|

---------------------------------

To give Carmelo some extra help off the bench when he takes his seat. Jon Soto went into the free agency and picked an individual who may show some great skills for the team as he was with the team before he got released. He signed:

ImageRODNEY WHITE.

"Rodney White brought toughness to the team in his early years and I feel like giving him another shot will help him give us his complete potential." Mr. Soto said as he was questioned about the signing. I think Rodney will have a great future with us.

Rodney White was signed to a 2-years deal worth $6.60M.

Sun Apr 29, 2007 3:36 am

Dude...Rodney White??? Puhleeese the guy is horrible, but good luck with this, AI + Melo = Killa DUO :)

2005-2006 Roster List

As the Nuggets came close to their Home Opener against the Boston Celtics, Mr. Soto released the unofficial roster list for the 2005-2006 season:

With the rosters set, the Denver Nuggets will look to defeat the Boston Celtics in their Home Opener.

I think he'll do pretty well with us. And im not on 07 im on 06 but im looking to make the trade for A. I might trade away K. Mart since Philly (in my game) is looking for a Power Forward so maybe you will see the AI+Melo Combo soon.

Sun Apr 29, 2007 8:38 am

This could b good i will prob follow :D

Sun Apr 29, 2007 9:00 am

It's interesting to see you use the old rosters instead of the updated ones since I also play 06 and use the updated rosters. I wasn't too big of the A.I. trade anyway, so maybe you can still turn back time and re-write history. Hopefully nothing too serious will happen to K-Mart this time around. It sucks to see his career in jeopardy these days.

Week 1 Preview

*Week 1*
Image
--------------------------------------------------------------------
10/29 Vs. Boston

 Primary Shooter- Paul Pierce
 Secondary Shooter- Ricky Davis
--------------------------------------------------------------------
*Teams Strengths/Weaknesses will be based on a Frontcourt-Backcourt Rating depending on teams starters and bench positions*
 Strengths- Frontcourt
 Weaknesses- Backcourt

--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Coaches Strategy- Double Paul Pierce and makes everyone else take shots. Other than Davis, the Celtics are a weak shooting team and will struggle if Pierce gets shut out. Delonte West is a spot up shooter around the arc so we need have Andre on him like a hound. Al Jefferson is a plain beast in the paint but we have Kenyon and I have confidence that he'll know what to do. We need Kenyon to be physical and smart. Marcus Camby will need to watch out for LaFrentz he can grab major boards and can score if left open. Overall, I think our team has the advantage over the Celtics and should pull off an easy win tonight.

Because Im on console. But I usually keep the roster up-to-date, but not this time. I wanna see what I can do with the regular 05-06 rosters.

Let's pray they kill the Spurs tonight.

I doubt it because our 3rd game is against phoenix and then houston lol so we might run into some early trouble.
I love the Nuggets as well.

Week 2 Preview

*Week 2*
Image
--------------------------------------------------------------------

10/30 Vs. Minnesota
 Primary Shooter- Kevin Garnett
 Secondary Shooter- Wally Szcerbiak
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Strengths- Frontcourt
 Weaknesses- Backcourt
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Coaches Strategy- This should be an easy one too. Kevin Garnett is their top scorer and all we have to do is be physical and get him tired in the early going. If we stop him then we have the certain win. Wally Szcerbiak will be serving us from behind the arc if we let him, have Carmelo play him tight preventing him from shooting the long bomb. Sam Cassell is also a problem but Andre Miller is a good enough player to stop him in his tracks. If those 3 get stopped then we can pretty much have our way with the Timberwolves.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 Premiere Matchup- KEVIN GARNETT VS. KENYON MARTIN

11/2 Vs. Phoenix
 Primary Shooter- Shawn Marion
 Secondary Shooter- Amare Stoudemire
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Strengths- Frontcourt/Backcourt
 Weaknesses- N/A
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Coaches Strategy- Probably one of our toughest opponents in the early season. The Suns have a starting 5 that can do it all, they can shoot, rebound and dish the ball off. Our main concern is Steve Nash. If we let him loose he can rack up big numbers on us and can open the court up for others to dominate. The best thing we got is to double him every time he gets the ball and make sure the other players create space for themselves because Nash can just go wild with assist. We will need to bring our 2 shot blockers in the mix in the line-up so Martin and Camby will need to bring their A game on defense. If we play our cards right, maybe we can pull something off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 Premiere Matchup- AMARE STOUDEMIRE VS. KENYON MARTIN
--------------------------------------------------------------------

11/3 Vs. Houston

 Primary Shooter- Yao Ming
 Secondary Shooter- Tracy McGrady
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Strengths- Frontcourt
 Weaknesses- Backcourt
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Coaches Strategy- Our 3 main concerns on this team are the likes of T-Mac, yao Ming and Stromile Swift. T-Mac can create space for himself so we'll need to double him up every possesion he gets. Yao Ming can do the same, so we need to do the same. We need our big men swarming all over him like theres no tomorrow. Stromile Swift on the other hand is a big play player. If he gets open then he can 100% forsure finish at the rim with an amazing dunk. He;s one of those highflying power forward types. But if we close the gaps on him all day then he'll be grounded and won't by flying anywhere on us!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 Premiere Matchup- MARCUS CAMBY VS. YAO MING
--------------------------------------------------------------------

11/5 Vs. Cleveland

 Primary Shooter- LeBron James
 Secondary Shooter- Larry Hughes
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Strengths- Frontcourt
 Weaknesses- Backcourt
--------------------------------------------------------------------
 Coaches Strategy- This game is a no brainer. LeBron will be getting most of the carries so therefore LeBron will be getting most of the double teams. By cancelling him out that will leave Larry Hughes to start taking over and Larry thrives under pressure. If we D up on Larry and all his shots then this Cavs team will be ice cold from the field seeing that Larry and LeBron are their two big shot shooters.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 Premiere Matchup- CARMELO ANTHONY VS. LEBRON JAMES
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 Projected Week 2 Result- (3-1)

Sun Apr 29, 2007 1:36 pm

ouch, a hard week in my oppinion. should beat the wolves easily, but the other 3 games will be hard.

my prediciton for the week----(1-3)

Sun Apr 29, 2007 1:52 pm

I second that scoop should be hard but i think you should b able to go atleast 2-2 good luck :D
