Today, the day of the 2006 NBA Draft the Minnesota Timberwolves have brought in a new GM, Price O'Brian. When asked what his goals with the team are, O'Brian responded
"I've got big plans for this team. I appreciate everything KG has done for the Franchise over the last 10 years, but his time has gone. I am going to re-invent the Timberwolves, bring in a young exctiting team. Now lets get this season started!."

The NBA Draft has just concluded. With the 7th pick in the draft, the Timberwolves picked up 6'9 swingman Rudy Gay. With their later picks the Wolves added Cedric Simmons and a forefit. We have a conference transcript from GM O'Brian after the draft.
-GM O'Brian, why did you select Rudy Gay over Tyrus Thomas and Shelden Williams?
"I understand that our team is somewhat lacking at the Center position, but I believe that Gay has the ability to make a big impact on this team, and I have some ideas to shake up the roster, and fix our Center depression."
-Gm what will be your first move with the team once the season starts?
"I plan to completely re-arrange the starting lineup of the team. I probably will put eddie Griffin at the Center position, but it depends on teh situation with Kevin Garnett. I will NOT be benching Garnet while putting him on the trade block. I'm hoping to bring in a full new set of guards, and completely overhaul the bench in the first few months. But, we'kll see what happens."

It is December 29th, and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be starting with Franchise Player Kevin Garnett at PF. General Manager O'Brian was not available for comment, but we do believe he is working diligently on trading the Forward. Latest rumors have listed the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Hornest and Miami Heat as being interested in bringing in the Forward. Hawks GM Milton Underwood has been available for a conferance today.
-Gm Underwood, is it true that you are interested in trading for Keving Garnett?
"100% true, we have offered any group of players on our roster, including Joe Johnson, and rookie Center LaMarcus Aldridge."
-Do you believe you will be able to acquire Kevin Garnett.
"Our team clearly does not fill the right gaps in te Wolves roster, but if all else fails I believe we have teh right resources to acquire the forward, so yes, I do."

The Wolves have come out on top of their first game, against the reighning western conferance champs, the Dallas Mavericks. Guard Mike James led teh team with 29pts, but a strong Double Double and close to a Triple KG was named Player of The Game.
When asked if the game would change his mind about trading Garnett Gm Price responded that "He never doubted Garnett's abilities, but he feels the team needs to begin rebuilding, and unfortunately Garnett leaving must occur." he also stated that "As cruel as this sounds, the good performace only adds to KG's value in my eye's"

MAJOR NEWS
The headline of the Minnesota Times today the article read "Kevin Garnett shipped to Portland" Farther in the artcle it is revealed that Gm O'Brian traded Kevin Garnett and rookie Forward Cedric Simmons to the Trail Blazers for Forward Zach Randolph, Swingman Darius Miles, and Swingman Martell Webster. In a noon press conferance Gm O'Brian answered a few questions about the trade.
-GM why do you believe the addition of these players will help the team?
"I believe that both Miles and Randolph are talented, athletic players with strong talents, they will fit well into our starting lineup, for however long they remain there."
-What exactly does that mean?
"It means that my trade work is far from over."
Mon Dec 11, 2006 5:26 am
The Wolves will continue their season with another home game on November 1st against the Houston Rockets. New players Zach Randolph, and Darius Miles will be starting at both Forward positions tonight. The Full lineup will be...
C. Eddie Griffin
PF. Zach Randolph
SF. Darius Miles
SG. Rudy Gay
PG. Mike James
GM O'Brian felt no need to speak about tonights game, that the team speaks for its self. Forward Darius Miles was available for comment pre game. The Timberwolves fell to the Rockets in game two, laeving their record 1-1. All 3 new players came through for a total of 6pts. GM Price is ennraged by their poor play. He stated that "I think I gave them too many minutes too quickly" and that "they will not play nearly as much for the next few weeks."
Mon Dec 11, 2006 5:52 am
In their third game the Timberwolves got off to an early lead, but blew it big in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, causing them to loose by over 30pts. Again, Darius Miles, Zach Randolph and MArtell Webster played poor basketball. When asked why he played so poorly, Forward Zach Randolph responded "It's just gettinng used to a new town, and a new city. Im prepared to try hard and create victory for my new team. Im more worried about letting down the fans, although the coaches appear pretty angry too. That's never good."
ESPN Stast will show us the present us the upsetting Box Scores. GM O'Brian commented that "It's never a good thing with our roster when Eddie Griffin is your top scorer."
Mon Dec 11, 2006 6:01 am
Still incapable of a win after trading superstar Kevin Garnett the Timberwolves fell to teh Denver Nuggets 88-110. We feel no need showing you the same stat sheet in which we see nothing from Webster, Miles, and Randolph. GM O'Brian made a public appology to the people of Minnesotta today.
"People of Minnesotta, I understand that you are angry with our poor record after giving up our star player. I understand you are furios with me for making the deal, but I implore you to understand that although Randolph, Miles and Webster have gotten off to an embarrasing start I still have high hopes for our team, and our roster, witha few imopending changes that hopefully will recover more quickly. I will do everything I can to enhance our ability to win games, untill then I only ask of your faith in our team, our players and what we stand for."
Mon Dec 11, 2006 6:08 am
These were the stats from the first victory of the Minnesota Timberwolves after trading Kevin Garnett. The strong bench play of Ricky Davis earned his the Player of The Game honors.

Just two nights after their surprise victory over the Utah Jazz, the T-Wolves are back up to their old tricks as they loose to the Atlanta Hawks by 20. GM O'Brian is quoted as saying "I'm starting to think it was a shame I didn't take up the Hawks offer to trade for Joe Johnson."
Some insight into the inner workings of the T-Wolves front office was revealed today as the New Orleans Hornets GM, Stan Kennedy, stated that 'I was toying around with the idea of trading Chris Paul to the Wolves, but in the end decided against it. GM O'Brian was offering Miles and Randolph in the deal."
GM O'Brian had no comment on the statement of GM Kennedy.
Mon Dec 11, 2006 6:17 am
GM of Brian has revealeed to the public that he is working to bring in a fast guard with both Offensive and Defensive talents. A few choices are bieng looked at, but if Miles and RAndolph step it up the need may fall.
