Sweet, you still should do my plan.

Trade Wallace for Kevin Martin move Okafor to Center. Put May at PF. After first season aquire Bosh and Heinrich. In the mean time signing a servicable Center that can block and dunk.

The Bobcats will host the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James...this should be a good matchup...Carmelo vs Lebron. The Bobcats are 1-0 @ home will that streak end versus the Cavs?

Sat Nov 25, 2006 3:45 am

You should post smaller pics, takes a lot of time to load and kinda interrupts the recap. Just try to give the whole thing a cleaner layout.
Good luck vs the Cavs.

Sat Nov 25, 2006 12:28 pm

so you mean resize the pictures smaller? maybe post pictures after recap?

Sat Nov 25, 2006 3:48 pm

True2006,

Nice point out though Hova.

Emeka Okafor and Bobcats soar above the Cavs

Starting 5:

C M. Ely
PF Emeka Okafor
SF Carmelo Anthony
SG Voshon Lenard
PG Raymond Felton

Image
C Zydraunas Ilgauskas
PF Donyell Marshall
SF LeBron James
SG David Wesley
PG Eric Snow

Whenever two of the NBA's best players go head-to-head, its sure to be an exciting contest. Carmelo Anthony vs. LeBron James did not dissapoint as Charlotte defeated the Cavs @ home

Both teams got off to a good start, executing solid offense resulting in numbers on the board. Lenord and Felton were the stand out players in the Charlotte team whilst Donyell Marshal and LeBron James put away for the Cavaliers. Nothing could seperate the two teams by the end of the quarter.
1st Quarter: Bobcats 34-34 Cavaliers

Emeka Okafor and the Bobcats came out in the second and did the job, but LeBron James was not to be denied and Center Ilgauskas converted as well. Carmelo Anthony answered with some jams of his own and Okafor pulled down 5 of his 11 rebounds to keep the defense tight but once again, this one was too close to call by the end of the half.
Half-Time: Bobcats 61-61 Cavaliers

The third quarter was where the game was decided, Anthony and Felton combined for the points and Okafor played solid defense pulling down more rebounds and was helped by Ely's monstrous blocks. Only LeBron James and Eric Snow could answer and substitute Adam Morisson got 9 points and 3 assists.
3rd Quarter: Bobcats 83-70

The fourth quarter summed up what was an excellent night for Charlotte and their fans - penetrating offense and solid defense. Anthony and Lenord got the numbers and added to their personal tallys and Okafor pulled down rebounds and did an excellent job on Ilgauskas. Despite Eric Snow and Donyell Marshall's continued effort, the Cavaliers went down at the Bobcats arena to the on-form Charlotte.
Final Score: Bobcats 126-102 Cavaliers

POG - Carmelo Anthony - 26 points, 4 assits, 9 rebounds

Keystats: Emeka Okafor triumphed on the glass getting 11 rebounds but Ilgauskas kept the scores close with 14 of his own. LeBron James got 22 points but couldn't conquer high-point man Carmelo Anthony who shot 10-19 from the field

Felton's 35 helps Charlotte get the win

Carmelo Anthony jams home

Away from home, Charlotte haven't won a game this season. That all changed at Boston

Starting 5:
Image
C Michael Olowakandi
PF B. Scalabrine
SF Paul Pierce
SG Wally Szczerbiak
PG Sebastian Telfair

Image
C M. N'diaye
PF Emeka Okafor
SF Carmelo Anthony
SG Voshon Lenard
PG Raymond Felton

Voshon Lenard got off to a great start offensively, sinking 4 consecutive for his team. Paul Pierce and Telfair brung it back but Okafor and N'diaye crashed the boards defensively and Carmelo Anthony soared for the 1st quarter lead
1st Quarter: Celtics 22-30 Bobcats

Raymond Felton was unstoppable in the 2cnd, cutting through the lanes and finding his men. He helped Charlotte pull away from Boston who looked tired. Telfair and Sczcerbiak eventually found their range and sunk a few from mid-range. Okafor chipped in with 6 of his own points and the impressive free-agent N'diaye got 5 rebounds.
Half-Time: Celtics 49-60 Bobcats

The third was the start of Boston's comeback. The home fans regained their voice and Paul Pierce responded getting 8 points to bring the Celtics closer. Only Felton managed to silence the hme fans but Olowakandi started to dominate down low and with Sczcerbiak shooting well, there was everything to play for in the fourth and final quarter
3rd Quarter: Celtics 78-77 Bobcats

Voshon Lenard and Raymond Felton restored Charlotte's lead with help from Okafor defensively. Paul Pierce continued to shoot the jumper and Charlotte called a time-out, knowing something had to change. On came Saraunas Jasikevicius who did an excellent job on Pierce and even found some points of his own. Gerald Green came on as a substitute and his high-flying ability bought the Celtics within 1 late in the game. But Raymond Felton was unstoppable and put away the points for a narrow Charlotte victory
Final Score: Celtics 97-100 Bobcats

POG - Raymond Felton - 35 points, 5 assists, 1 steal

Keystats: Okafor once again did a good job on the boards as he got 11 for the night. Lenard helped get the win with 26 points of his own and shot 50% from the 3 point line. Paul Pierce did get 26 points but he and influential substitute Gerald Green couldn't pull it back

Sat Dec 02, 2006 9:13 pm

Looks good (Y)

Felton's my favorite of last year's rookies, love that he's putting such numbers...

Bobcats go 4-1 @ Seattle

Image
'Melo did his job for the win by getting 14 points

The Charlotte Bobcats won another game away last night as they travelled to Ray Allen's Seattle Supersonics in what was an even match-up

Starting 5:
Image
C D. Forston
PF N. Collinson
SF Rashard Lewis
SG Ray Allen
PG Luke Ridnour

Image
C M. Ely
PF Emeka Okafor
SF Carmelo Anthony
SG Voshon Lenard
PG Raymond Felton

The first quarter was tightly contested with both teams playing good basketball. It became clear early on that Charlotte would have to handle Ray Allen if they were to win this ball game. Allen sunk 8 points in the 1st with help from PG Ridnour. Voshon Lenard and Felton fought back to give the Bobcats a slender lead at the end of the 1st.
1st Quarter: Sonics 30-31 Bobcats

Fortson and the Sonics came out in the 2cnd with a vengeance, sinking 8 quick points. Anthony managed to get inside for some easy buckets ands Okafor rejected attempts from Fortson and Collinson. Lenard continued his good shooting and Charlotte still had the lead by half-time
Half-Time: Sonics 60-61 Bobcats

Felton and Okafor did good jobs for Charlotte meaning Seattle had to rally, which is what they did. Rashard Lewis went on a run and the home fans were on their feet. Sarunas Jasikevicius came on and got 9 points of his own. Lenard and Anthony continued to convert and pulled away late on
3rd Quarter: Sonics 83-87 Bobcats

Collinson started the final quarter with some easy lay-ups but Felton still managed to find his men and it payed off. Okafor again did a good job on the glass getting 5 of his eventual 12 rebounds. Ray Allen tried to bring it back but the energy was sapped out of the arena when Lenard hit two consecutive three pointers. There was no coming back from there on for Seattle as they went down at home to the impressive Bobcats
Final Score: Sonics 104-113 Bobcats

POG - Raymond Felton - 24 points, 10 assists, 2 steals

Keystats: High point man Voshon Lenard got 34 whilst Carmelo Anthony got 11 rebounds. Okafor got 5 blocks and 12 rebounds, despite Allen's 25 points, Charlotte got the win and stretched their record to 4-1

Two players face off against former teams

Tommorrow night at The Bobcats arena, Carmelo Anthony and Gerald Wallace will go face-to-face, for their former teams.

At the start of the season, Carmelo Anthony and Gerald Wallace swapped addresses. Anthony went to Charlotte and Wallace moved to the Nuggets in what was one of the biggest trades in the off-season. Anthony has been putting up solid performances for his new team - the Bobcats, but so has former Cat, Gerald Wallace.
As the coaches look on tomorrow night, which man's trade is going to haunt him?

Sun Dec 03, 2006 12:45 am

Melo will kill Wallace

Sun Dec 03, 2006 2:07 am

Charlotte and Detroit confirm trade

Today, the Charlotte Bobcats and the Detroit Pistons confirmed their transactions.
The trade sees Melvin Ely and Raymond Felton heading to the Pistons in exchange for Tayshaun Prince.

The trade will also bring about changed player positions for the Bobcats. Emeka Okafor will now become the starting Center and Tayshaun Prince will become the Power-Forward, leaving Brevin Knight to take over the Point-Guard role.

Sun Dec 03, 2006 2:26 am

First of all it looks a bit unrealistic, moreover, roster non stability can down the team chemistry these are the disadvantages.

The better side is that with this trade, you'll probably be getting more rebounds, more steals, more blocks and most importantly more points...

Sun Dec 03, 2006 4:23 am

cpu accepted trade prince was only a 79 rated he got felton who was 74 and ely who is good rebounder.

Sun Dec 03, 2006 4:24 am

i traded okafor and 1st round pick for jermaine too

Sun Dec 03, 2006 4:30 am

Too many trades, It's starting to look unrealistic man, better stop this crazy trading...

Sun Dec 03, 2006 4:36 am

im done now
i just wanted jermaine bc im from indy

Charlotte blow-out Nuggets

Starting 5:
Image
C M. N'diaye
PF E. Okafor
SF C. Anthony
SG A. Morrison
PG R. Felton

Image
C M. Camby
PF K. Martin
SF G. Wallace
SG J. Smith
PG E. Boykins

The Bobcats dominated the 1st quarter, racing off to a 6-0 lead. Anthony, Morrison and OKafor all got points as the quarter progressed whilst Wallace and Camby were the only players that were not phased by the good start.
1st Quarter: Bobcats 32-17 Nuggets

Marcus Camby pulled his team together and showed great leadership skills getting 5 quick points and playing good defense. The Charlotte offense seemed to rather deteriorate as they seemed as though they were just running up and down the court, taking silly shots and not running any plays. Voshon Lenard entered the game but Kenyon Martin found his feet and Denver finished on a high.
Half-Time: Bobcats 56-49 Nuggets

Sean May entered the game for N'diaye who saw virtually nothing of the ball all game. He had nice looks at the baskets and was on the same page as Okafor from the start. Even though Camby and Wallace rallied together on offense, Carmelo Anthony ripped through the Nugett's defense and gave the Bobcats the lead going into the final quarter
3rd Quater: Bobcats 72-68

In the final quarter, the Bobcats really pulled away executing good offense and keeping the D tight. Despite Marcus Camby's continued effort, the Nuggets couldn't find the energy to come-back and Okafor and May finished the job much to the delight of the home fans
Final Score: Bobcats 102-86

POG: - Emeka Okafor - 18 pts, 9 rebs, 2 blocks, 3 assts

Keystats: Marcus Camby was Denver's most influential player, getting 21 points. N'daiye didn't do much offensively but pulled down 13 rebounds to help Bobcats get the win

Sun Dec 03, 2006 5:10 am

Morrison helps Charlotte defeat the Hornets

Starting 5:
Image
C T. Chandler
PF D. West
SF P. Stojakovic
SG D. Mason
PG C. Paul

Image
C M. N'diaye
PF E. Okafor
SF C. Anthony
SG A. Morrison
PG B. Knight

The 1st quarter showed the fans and viewers across the world what an entertaining game they were in for. Filled with dunks, blocks and exciting passing - this was on course to be game of the season. Morrison got off to a great start sinking 5 consecutive but Stojakovic responded with jumpers of his own. Anthony and Chandler also got on the board.
1st Quarter: Hornets 34-35 Bobcats

New Orleans/ Oklahoma City fought back with Chris Paul who got 5 of his eventual 8 assists and 10 of his eventual 22 points. Morrison kept shooting well and by half-time, the fans could already tell this one was going down to the wire
Half-Time: Hornets 57-56 Bobcats

Tayshaun Prince entered the game for the first time in a Bobcats jersey and was greeted with roars from the crows, however, early fouls from great attacking play by Chandler meant he was forced back out. Lenard and Okafor got into the game but couldn't stop Stojakovic's excellent shooting form, until Adam Morrison struck fire himself.
3rd Qaurter: Hornets 87-92 Bobcats

4th quarter was all about draft-pick Adam Morrison. He sunk 14-18 from the field and kept shooting that jumper. The Hornets turned to their own shooter in Stojakovic but when Okafor rejected him twice, they knew they had to change it. New Orleans opted for power in Tyson Chandler and he did a good job but Carmelo Anthony and Adam Morrison sealed the narrow victory
Final Score: Hornets 101-106 Bobcats

POG: - Adam Morrison - 33 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists

Keystats: Adam Morrison shot 14-18 from the field and N'Daiye did another good job on the boards pulling down 12 for the night. Carmelo, Okafor and N'Diaye pulled down 33 between them

Sun Dec 03, 2006 5:32 am

Bobcats overcome toughest challenge yet

Starting 5:
Image
C E. Okafor
PF T. Prince
SF C. Anthony
SG A. Morrsion
PG B. Knight

Image
C T. Duncan
PF R. Horry
SF B. Bowen
SG M. Giniboli
PG T. Parker

Charlotte started off slowly but came back together to take the lead. Morrison shot well and Okafor powered home a few. Duncan, supplied by Parker, put on a show and Ginobili chipped in. But Carmelo Anthony struck fire by the end to give the home fans something to cheer about
1st Quarter: Bobcats 31-25 Spurs

The 2cnd quarter almost went basket for basket. Whenever one team went on a run, the other team hit back. A perfect example is when Parker alley-oops Duncan, Okafor misses and Ginobili converts. Okafor dunks over Horry and then steals the inbound pass. Anthony, Okafor, Horry and Parker all got on the board
Half-Time: Bobcats 53-48 Spurs

Tayshaun Prince showed the Charlotte fans what he was capable of and backing up the choice to trade him for the on-form Felton - blocking Horry and getting 3 quick buckets. Duncan and Bowen fought back and the two teams went into the 4th with everything to play for
3rd Quarter: Bobcats 73-68 Spurs

Prince and Oafor played astounding defense blocking Parker and Ginobili and Anthony linked up with Morrison to stretch the Charlotte lead. Even though Duncan and Horry got some back, the Bobcats triumphed in their toughest game to date in the new season.
Final Score: Bobcats 92-86 Spurs

POG: - Carmelo Anthony - 20 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists

Keystats: Tayshaun Prince got 18pts and 8 rebs to add to Okafor's 9. Bowen and Horry were kept quite despite the 6 assists from Parker
