KG
Currently into the third season of dynasty as a Lakers, I've made a surprising move; not resigning KG. I would have thought that he would not want more than $10 million because of his age and personality. But then I realized that it is a game, not a real-life person. He asked to be payed around $20 mil per year for the next 3 years. I didn't sign him, because knowing that other teams don't have the cap spaces to sign him, I thought I'd just wait, hoping to snatch him at around $10 million / year, which the cap spaces I had left after not resigning KG.

Andrew Bynum
I was very surprised to see Bynum asking for only $2.60 million per year for the next 3 years. Of course again, it is a game. I like the defensive line up, thus the reason I started Przybilla and resigned Gerald Wallace at $10 million (Iguodala receives $9 mil per year). It is obviously wrong to pay Wallace more than Iguodala. But I did, because I wanted to keep the team intact. Last season defensively, we were at the top.

I offered Bynum $7 million more and added 3 more years, making it $20 million / 6 years, starting at $2.60 million. I have the future starting center for years to come.

Retirement
2 seasons ago, Darrel Armstrong had retired, and this offseason, P.J. Brown did retire. I wished he'd stay, because he still had 1 more year of contract left on him ($5 million / 2 years). Since I didn't resign David West until the season started, the PF position was widely open without KG, West, and Brown.

Free Agency
I didn't resign David West (signed for MLE 2 seasons ago), just to see whether I can resign KG at around $10 million at the free agency. At that time, I had around $12 million left in cap spaces. I offered $9 million deals to Antawn Jamison, but he rejected it. Then I offered $50 million / 5 years deal to Danny Granger. I signed him. I had about $2 million left in cap spaces, so I signed Jared Jefferies to 3 years deal, starting at $1.9 million, leaving my PF position clearly empty. I thought to use Granger at PF, but I do not like small line up.

I picked up McDyess and Malik Rose for minimum. I offered a minimum to Keith Bogans, but was rejected.

Trades
First trade I made was getting rid of Gerald Wallace. Though I liked the defensive 2-3-4-5 punch, thus resigning him at the high prices, I really needed a starting PF since KG was gone. I traded him + fillers for Bosh.

2008-2009 Season
Once the season has begun, I decided to spend MLE, since PF positions weren't clearly good enough. I tried offering MLE to KG and Jamison, but they both rejected. So I ended up offering it again to David West. He joined the team again for next 2 years.

Player Lookouts
Bill Jenkins - a 2007 11th pick rookie point guard, 6"6' 212 lbs frame with great shooting, passing, and dribbling (he's soon going to be highflyer star), whom I traded Celtic's 1st pick for my Quinton Ross and Lakers 1st pick.

The shortest player in my team is 6"6'.

Brandon Roy - currently starting PG, 2006 sixth man of the year, very efficient playing 3 positions.

The Lakers are currently 4-2 with Brandon Roy injured for 2 weeks. Injuries has been major concerns for my team, but we're making it through; 2006 WCF, 2007 Champion, 2008 WCF.

I feel so sorry to see KG at the free agency. :D

hmm...Fantasy Draft. Those are always interesting (Y) Glad you got my man Bosh. He'll average around 20-15 for you no problem. His rating's probably in the 90s if you're in 08-09. I like your 08-09 lineup more than your 07-08 lineup (Y)

I'm just trying to play somewhat realistic. Would you pay $20 mil per year for next 3 years until KG is 36 years old? I'd rather get young Bosh at $10 million per for next 3 years. I'd be over $25 mil the cap for next 3 years.

I payed $10 million per for 4 years to Gerald Wallace last season, because I liked the defensive team (though it is clearly overpaying, when I'm paying Iggy $9 mil).. I completely realize how unuseful he is offensively (Roy - 6th man last yr scored more than him)

Since PJ Brown retired, couldn't sign David West, because I wanted to lure KG for $10 mil (the cap spaces I had), but he rejected it. So I signed Danny Granger and Jared Jefferies. Still no PF, signed McDyess and Malik Rose for minimum. Thought about using Granger at PF, but I really like big line up. I traded Wallace + a filler for Bosh. Signed back David West for MLE.

I don't have any important players to resign next year but Roy. I bet Roy would commend at least $5-7 million per year. I don't know how much Marquis Daniels would ask.

Without KG, I'd be still around $4-7 million over the cap with Roy and Marquis Daniels resigning, instead of $20-30 million.

Who knows? if he lowers his asking next offseason, I might sign him. Otherwise, no team has the money to pay him $20 million. He'd be unemployed until he retires.

Yeah...Thats not even close to being realistic, Minny would never wave KG even if he is 36.

I think the fact one should pay attention is that I got a guy as good as Bosh, half cheaper, about 5-6 yrs younger, and also signed two solid guys for not resigning KG.

I think Minny would trade KG for Bosh.

Minny wouldn't waive KG, but would they sign 33yrs old KG at $20 mil per for next 3 years? On the game, you can tweak everything and it will be fine, but in real life, it's all about money. You're all tied up with one guy that will never win a championship in such a scrub team.

This line up can play at least 5 yrs at top level, compared to KG breaking down. KG played only 60 games previous season. After he came out of the injury, he was scoring 0-5 points while playing 35 minutes. He was avging 20 pts per game before, scoring as many as 40 sometimes.

Can Iguodala shoot the three well?

Yes

2011-2012 season

A.Bynum(71) (3m)
Signed him a slave contract.. 20 mil / 6 yrs..;; His rating increased 2 each year. still young, I think he can make through 25 yrs dynasty mode.

C.Bosh(95, superstar inside scorer, inside stopper) (11m, expiring)
Basically got him for not resigning KG.

Josh Smith(89) (9m, traded for him for Randy Foye(85) and EA player rating 75, superstar highflyer&inside/outside stopper) ever since I left Gerald Wallace after he wanted an overpaid contract, I didn't have a good defender at 3. I like to use Iggy at 2. Not so much a scorer, but better than having Randy Foye at 2 (because I hate short players).. the shortest player on my team now is 6"6. I couldn't get Rajon Rondo from Seattle, and I picked up Andy Ryan (point guard) from draft.. so thought no need for him.

- A.Iguodala(94, superstar inside scorer&outside stopper, star outside scorer & inside stopper) (10m)
My franchise player. Some may argue that Bosh is the man, but I selected Iggy.

- B.Roy(81, star outside scorer) (6m)
my injury prone point guard;; Injuries have been big problems for my team. I lost as much as 10 straight games because one time Iggy, Bosh, and Roy had all injured.

injury prones;;
Roy > Przybilla > Bosh > Bynum > Iggy > Jenkins

-Bench-

- B.Armstrong(80) (2m) (EA player, 7"0 280 lbs center/pf) - traded for him for 1st pick + 2nd pick last season. 3rd yr player. his rating was 78 when i traded for him. on 2009 draft, I wanted to pick up both B.Armstrong and B.Jenkins, but obviously I only have 1 1st round pick. Trading for picks didn't work out. I traded for him later.

- B.Jenkins(84) (1m) (EA player, superstar outside scorer 6"6' 212lbs point guard) - drafted him at 11th (traded Q.Ross + 1st pick) 2 seasons ago.. his rating was 74 when i first drafted him. a very good player. magic johnson type player sort of minus the defensive ability.

- J.Stackhouse(64) (1m) (signed him for minimum) lucky to pick him up. i love to have 2-3 veterans on the team. he's like 36? years old now.. -_-;

- J.Jefferies(67) (2m) (free agent signing with cap money 2 seasons ago) picked him up when I had cap spaces for not resigning KG. solid player

- J.Przybilla(61) (1m) (resigned him for minimum, superstar inside stopper) just resigned him for liability

- A.Ryan(71) (700k) (EA player, 6"6' point guard, drafted him this year at 26th) I just love to have the tall point guard. So I drafted him. good shooter.. bit bulky, but other than that, he will get better.

I have 5 million + cap spaces now.

looking to sign Hilton Armstrong at $1.50 mil per for 3 yrs (a team waived him.. so looking to pick him up)

and Antawn Jamison for MLE if something urgent happens.

did not resign Marquis Daniels(74), David West(69)..
McDyess(59), Derek Fisher(62), Cuttino Mobley(65) all retired.

He's 3pt rating on mine is 85. He has gotten star outside scorer ability.

When I first did the fantasy draft, my team wasn't really good at shooting (I picked the players for their defensive ability).. but they all really improved after sticking them together for many seasons.
