Mark's Magic Dynasty: 3-4 : Nov Week 2 Up : 19/10

Welcome to my Magic Dynasty, initially this will run a lot like my Pistons one, but after awhile I might change things up a bit if I get new ideas. Im going with a 58 game season this year, but will intervene quite a few as i'll be wanting to get through a few seasons.

Difficulty: Superstar
Quarter Length: 12 Mins
Season Length: 82 Games
Playoff Format: 7-7-7-7
Sim Type: Intervention
Sliders: BigKaboom's Tweaked to suit.
Rosters: Sams. with a few tweaks that ive made myself
NLSC Players: Like last year, first draft will contain players that I ask to be in, second will be on the prediction challenge game.
Prediction Challenge will start at the beginning of the first seasons playoffs.

To be honest, I don't like Washington too much because I like to play with young teams that are rebuilding, although Caron Butler, Stevenson, Blatche and Donnell Taylor are some of my favourite players.

I also feel kind of cheated that Stevenson left the Magic to simply try and make more money, but he's still one of my favourite players regardless.

Well I hope you do one, even if we have to wait. Oh dont you worry, Ariza is gonna play a big part in the future of the Magic. And Dwight will be let loose straight away and will hopefully make the ASG.

JJ is one of my favourtie players, so he will have plenty of PT, hopefully he can make the most of it.

Yeah im not too worried about the SF spot since I have Hill and Ariza who will be taking over from Grant in the future.

Yeah im hoping we can make some noise out East and get deep into the playoffs


Well it might still be a while until start guys, still have to get the game, and if it sounds like there will be a patch not too far off I may wait for that, we will see what happens I guess.

Staff

I was given 3.38m to spend on staff, after having a look at the avaliable personal it was apparent
that one area was going to have to take a hit so I could get the people I really wanted in the other areas.
I decided that I would take the cheapest Trainer I could find in order to save money for the other 3 Staff positions.

Assistant Head Coach:


Cost: 1.75m over 3 years

Saez was the most expensive AHC on the market, but I wanted quality and was prepared to pay for it,
it looks like this staff position will be key for a developing franchise.
Saez specializes in Administration, but is still very proficient in the other areas.
With Saez being strong in all areas it give us a solid base to build upon with the other staff signings.

Assistant:


Cost: 952k over 1 year

After splashing out over half the staff budget on Saez I had to look a little bit lower than the top teir for an Assistant.
Falkiner has a great reputation in coaching Offense and Athleticsm, but in his lengthy career has never even tried to coach defense.
Since he was only asking for 1 year contract initally he was the best option avliable.
If there is a better option on next years market we can decide to let Falkiner go.

Trainer:


Cost: 91k over 1 year

As stated above I went for the cheapest Trainer I could find to save money in other areas.
I don't mind the extra or prolonged injuries as there are a lot of players on this roster that just need
some extra playing time to show what they can do. Plus I like the challenge of lots of injuries.

Scout:


Cost: 594k over 2 years

By the time I got around to signing a Scout I had about 600k left, so I was in the market for a solid scout,
but the top level one were out of my price range.
I ended up going with Brito as I think Offense is the area that is easiest trained, so im more concerned with the Defense and Athleticism.
