Oklahoma City *(ticker) - New Orleans traveled to Cleveland and faced of against the James Gang AKA the Cavaliers.

The Hornets trailed for the entire game and eventually lost by 24 points. Larry Hughes and Big Z led the Cavs with 23 and 22 points respectively LBJ added 17 points and 8 rebounds and Eric Snow had a double double with 18 points and 10 assists.

The Hornets were led by JR Smith who had 29 points and was 5-8 from beyond the arc. Rookie Chris Paul had a solid debut with 12 points, 7 assist and 5 rebounds and PJ Brown had a strong game with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Oklahoma City *(ticker) - New Orleans was at home for the 1st time this season against the Sacramento Kings.

New Orleans was only down by 5 at half time but that’s when Brad Miller and Mike Bibby took over. Bibby led all scorers with 27 points while Miller was 2nd with 26 points, 16 rebound and 5 assists. Ron Artest had a strong game with 15 points, 4 assists and 6 steals.

Marc Jackson led the Hornets with 21 points and 15 rebounds and the rest of the Hornets starters were all in double figures. Chris Paul had 14 points, 7 assist and 6 rebounds along as well as 2 steals.

The Hornets actually led at half time but failed to maintain their lead going down 99-109. T-Mac and Jon Barry led the Rockets with 23 points a piece and Rafer Alston added 20 points and 8 assists. Yao Ming had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the victory.

Rookie Chris Paul led the Hornets with 21 points and 9 assist. New Orleans leading scorer JR Smith was forced from the game in the in the 4th and will miss the next 11 days after he strained his calf muscle. P.J. Brown added 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Hornets.

This was one of the greatest games in recent memory going into 2 OT’s Unfortunately for The Hornets the result didn’t go there way thanks to a Gary Payton 3 pointer with 1.3 seconds remaining in the 2nd OT period.

Miami was led by the Big Diesel who had 31 points, 18 rebounds and 2 blocks. Jason Williams added 29 points and 6 assists and Dwayne Wade had 20 points and 7 assists. Gary Payton had 11 points all game but none more important then his 9th, 10th and 11th.

Chris Paul had a excellent game in the loss leading all scorers with 34 points a career best and 13 assists also a career best. P.J. Brown had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets and David West had 15 points off the bench
