Game 1: Milwaukee Bucks (home)
Carlisle was not happy at all to play the first game in the first day of the games. The Pacers were unsuccessful in negations for the new season and the team was not ready at all. But Carlisle did what he had to do.
The game started with Jamaal Tinsley fouling twice in less then a minute, Carlisle was angry and Lithuanian star Jasikevicius came in. Sarunas led the pacers to a 8-0 run with three assists. Peja scored 10 points in the first quarter and the score was 21-14 for the Pacers.
The Bucks woke up a bit in the second quarter coming back to 27-27, but once again Sarunas came up and with two more assists, and 7 points in two minutes from Fred Jones the Pacers led at half-time, 37-29.
The Pacers were completely out of focus in the third quarter, as O'Neal missed every shot he made, and the Bucks finished the quarter with a lead, 48-44.
Sarunas stayed on the court for the rest of the game, giving away 3 more great assists, Jermaine O'Neal scored 6 points in the fourth quarter and even Foster and Granger added some, but it was up to Peja to win the game, with 0.9 seconds on the clock. The Bucks won 64-62. Carlisle hopes to strengthen the team in the next few days.

Tinsley Out, Hinrich In
It's a done deal, the Indiana Pacers send Jamaal Tinsley and Danny Granger to Chicago for Kirk Hinrich and Othella Harrington.
Carlisle declared himself pleased of having a great playmaker such as Hinrich to lead the team. Jermaine O'Neal also said he can't wait to turn his passes in to dunks.
Game 2: Charlotte Bobcats (H)
The Pacers, showing their new acquisitions, were hoping for an explosive game against the Bobcats to get their first win. After dominating the first half, leading at between 10 to 15 points most of the time, with Jermaine O'Neal and Jonathan Bender flying high, the second half was a different story.
The Bobcats narrowed the gap to 9 points and the Pacers ran to 17. Once again Charlotte narrowed to 8 and Sarunas Jasikevicius with three consecutive three point shots, after Fred Jones scored one as well, and the Pacers were up to 20, and then decided this was enough. The third quarter ended with 15 points lead for Indiana, who didn't show up at all for the final quarter, as the Bobcats narrowed the gap to 2 points by the final minute, it was Kirk Hinrich's cool from the line that saved the game.
Final score: 76-72.
The good: O'neal with 17 points in the first three quarters. Hinrich with 6\6 from the line in the final minute. Jasikevicius with 3\3 for three in less the a minute.
The bad: O'Neal with 0 points in the last quarter. A weak defense in the second half and the Pacers lost a 20 points lead.
The Ugly: after being subbed early in the fourth quarter Stephen Jackson cursed Rick Carlisle, who only ignored him, Jackson then muttered "wish they'd trade me like Jamaal". None of the sides commented on this event.

Rick Carlisle's squad is not yet finished, after bringing Hinrich from the bulls for Jamaal Tinsley, he earlier today agreed to another deal. The Pacers acquire Boris Diaw and Raja Bell from Phoenix for the problematic Stephen Jackson and David Harrison. It is most likely that Boris Diaw will be the teams' sixth man, and says he is excited to play with Hinrich and O'Neal.
Nobody except for Carlisle knows wether there will be more deals or not, although some key players have been notified their position in the club is safe.
About the first trade: I have no doubts abour that trade, I hate Tinsley and love Hinrich, I think Hinrich is better in every parameter. Harrington was a filler for the trade and Granger was leverage in the offer. I'm very happy with that trade.

Im very happy with the whole dynasty, except that you are playing 6 mins Q's ( :@ no good secondary stats) but in the end its wether you have fun or not, so good luck, i think the first trade was good, altho trading steve Jax was maybe a bit premature.

Game 3: Dallas Mavericks (A)
Indiana traveled to Dallas with new Boris Diaw to meet a team who have lost all three games by now, and expected a good fight. Indiana dominated the first quarter, leading most of it and controlling the game tempo. Quarters 2 and three were a different story, no matter who was on the court the Pacers didn't function at all and Dallas turned the lead to 14. Carlisle didn't panic; he knew what he wanted his men to do, and when they finally did it in the fourth quarter the momentum shifted. More rebounds, more pressure, more passes outside, and 50 seconds to the end Hinrich with a 3 points move changed the score to 74-72 to the Maves. Bender with a great steal and Jones tied the game. Dallas panicked and lost the ball and Diaw made it 76-74 to the Pacers, 30 seconds to the end. Hinrich scored some more from the line and the game ended 82-76 to the pacers.

well mark, I enjoy playing short quarters since I only have time to play at weekends, and long games tire me more then many short games.
