BabyBulls Dynasty

Fri Aug 26, 2005 5:17 am

Hi, once again I have returned to the forum. My computer was fixed two days ago and now I'll start the Bulls Dynasty as some of you requested. Feel free to post comments that will make my story a nice read.

Good luck with your new dynasty, hope you can take it far

Pre Season Moves
The management has decided that the roster that took the Bulls to the playoffs since Jordan's departure should not be dismantled but built upon so as to make a better playoff run in the event we qualify for the playoffs. As a result, C Jared Reiner was released due to his inability to perform down low. The Bulls organization continues to wish him well in his endeavours. After Reiner's release the Management filled in the void he left down low by signing C/F Jelani McCoy to a single year contract. This enables us to have someone fill the void that Reiner left and enable scouts to look for a permanent replacement.

Training Camp
During this year's training camp the Head Coach Scott Skiles was looking for some consistency with the team's shooting and demanded that all the time alloted for pre season training be focused on shooting. Every player improved one way or another especially the younger ones. After the Training Camp, the Management made a change to the roster by trading Guards E. Basden and F. Williams to the Portland Trailblazers for C/F Joel Przybilla. This move will improve the the front court of the team and also give them more depth defensively. With the departure of both Guards the Management decided that the void should be filled and as such was done with the signing of PG Chris Whitney. He brings with him a good 3 point shot and alot of experience especially for the younger Guards. With all the changes made, the team now stands like this

C. Eddy Curry 70
PF. Tyson Chandler 70
SF. Luol Deng 68
SG. Ben Gordon 73
PG. Kirk Hinrich 76

C. Joel Przybilla 53
PF. Antonio Davis 61
SF. Andres Nocioni 68
PG. Chris Duhon 59
PG. Chris Whitney 54
PF. Jelani McCoy 53
PG. Jannero Pargo 52

Injured Reserves
C. Othella Harrington 50
SF. Adrian Griffin 49
SG. Eric Piatkowski 49

There was bit of an argument whether to start Deng or Nocioni but Deng will be started ahead of Nocioni, but in the event that Curry or Chandler is injured, Nocioni will be started at PF his secondary position.

Bulls 93-91 Nets
The Bulls had a fine start to this season by grabbing a narrow win over the New Jersey Nets. By the 4th quarter the Bulls were down by 6 points and started the quarter with a run and evened the score. Both teams then traded baskets till the final 30 seconds. The Bulls were up by 2 points and the Nets missed the shot that would tie the game and committed the intentional foul. Hinrich sank both shots to give the Bulls a 4 point lead. The Nets then went for a 3 but missed however rebounded and settled for 2 points. With just over 10 seconds to go, the Bulls passed the Ball among themselves till the final buzzer. Gordon led the Bulls with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Curry came big with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Chandler followed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Deng gave reason to be started ahead of Nocioni with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Hinrich was cold from the field but managed to pull away with 8 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. Vince Carter was the only threat the Bulls faced with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists he was looking good on the court but Gordan did a nice job of guarding him. Kidd followed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists while Jefferson chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Bulls will be looking to extend this streak when they face the Indiana Pacers.

Roster doesn't look too bad and you pick up a win in a close game. Best of luck with the Bulls and good to see you back.

Yeah, the starters did have a nice game. I only wish Hinrich could have been more productive from the floor. But the others filled that void nicely.

good luck next game

Thanks I'll need it especially against the Pacers.

Bulls 77-82 Pacers
The Bulls suffered their 1st defeat of the season early in the season against the Indiana Pacers. The Bulls struggled in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the game and mounted a comeback late in the 4th quarter but it was not enough to offset the losses encountered in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and as such the Bulls walked away with the loss. Gordon was cold from the field making only 6 of 14 shots to walk away with 14 points. Chandler was a total disappointment and made not even a single shot from the field. Curry pulled away with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Deng came in with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists while Hinrich pulled off with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. The Bulls did not have an answer for Artest who came away with 32 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks. O' Neal shot 50% from the floor coming away with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Jackson chipped in 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists while Tinsley left the court with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Its still too early in the season for anyone to jump to conclusions and the Head Coach figures with more experience on the part of the younger players, such a loss can easily be avoided. The Bulls will look to affset this loss when they face the Phoenix Suns.

Announcement
The Bulls have waived Guard Chris Whitney and signed another Guard Mark Jones. Whitney was not the backup Guard Chicago needed and as such waived him. Jones will be the back up for Ben Gordon in the case of a possible injury he may sustain. The Bulls Organization however continues to wish him well.

Hey, you're back. Tough loss against Indy.

Yeah, sorry I couldn't write this match up but I had a couple of things to take care of. Yeah it was a tough loss. The Bulls weren't hitting their shots but I hope they win their next match.

Tough loss...great signing...keep it up

Yeah it was a tough loss and we did have chances to close the lead but we didn't take advantage of them. I see Jones as a SG who will develope very similarily to Gordon. He's fast, he can dunk and can shoot 3pt shots. :D

Bulls 91-89 Suns
The Bulls pulled off another close game thanks the buzzer beater of Hinrich to give the Bulls their 2nd win of the season. The Bulls were trailing in the 4th quarter and mounted a come back. The score was tied very late in the 4th quarter. Steve Nash missed the shot that would have given the Suns the edge of the Bulls and the Bulls took advantage of that and called a time out. The offense was set and the ball was dished to Hinrich who took the winning shot just before the buzzer went off. Gordon led the Bulls with 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, Hinrich came in with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Curry pulled off with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Deng chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks while Chandler settled for 9 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals. Marion was more or less the one that posed a threat to the Bulls who came away with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks, Johnson followed with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists, Jackson came in with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, Nash settled for 13 points and 2 assists while Stoudamire was contained offensively downlow and walked away with 8 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. The Bulls now stand at 2-1 and will be looking for another victory when they face the LA Clippers.

Thanks man...it was a good game and I'll see if the Bulls can pull it off against the Clippers.

Wow, great job of keeping Amare's AND Steve's numbers down, good win!

It was quite a task keeping their numbers down and that's one of the reasons the Suns lost this match. :)

Bulls 78-83 Clippers
Again the Bulls fell not because they were the weaker team but they failed to mount a much needed comeback that would have at the very least tied the game and forced an overtime. This was not the case scenario and the Bulls walked away with the loss. They now stand 2-2 early in the season which isn't all that bad but one would expect better from them. Another factor that caused the Bulls downfall was Gordon's inability to hit his shots. He was 3-11 from the field and 0-2 from the 3pt line and walked away with a disappointing 6 points a season low for him. Chandler didn't have much success from the field either but made up for it with his defensive play coming away with 3 points and 14 rebounds. Deng was not hot from the field and was 5-15 from the field. He walked away with 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Curry did what was expected of him by scoring and having a nice defensive game pulling away with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Hinrich's efforts could not give the Bulls the win but he pulled away with 35 points a season high for him, 5 assists and 2 steals. Gordon's inconsistency has given cause for concern but the coaching staff as we speak is working to remedy the situation. The Clippers were led to victory by Elton Brand who scored 23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocks. Maggette came away with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals while Mobley chipped in 17 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. The Bulls will push for the win when they face the Sacramento Kings.
