thuggy's YOUNG BUCKS [[RETIRED]] ((6-0))

Mon Aug 15, 2005 5:26 am

Milwaukee Bucks Dynasty

Schedule Type > Random
Season Length > 29 (playing all of them….unless I run out of time)
Skill Level > Superstar
Sim Quarter Length > 12 Minutes
Play Quarter Length > 8 Minutes (changed due to high scoring)
Play-off Length > 7-7-7-7
Simulation Injuries > Yes
Fantasy Draft > No
Simulation Type > Intervention (just in case)
Sliders > Andrews sliders V.2.0 (user and cpu steal, intercept and block ability set to 0 to limit outrageous amounts of each like in my first game, game speed set at 45)
Console > PC
Rosters > Andrew’s 1.16

Hey everyone, I’m fairly new to the board and I decided to start a new dynasty with the new rosters that came out today. I have also decided to use the Milwaukee bucks due to their young talent and cap that is way under.

I really like how ShAuNCx9 organized his heat dynasty so I will be attempting the same layout.

Roster

Starting 5

ImageImageImageImageImage

Center – Andrew Bogut
Power Forward – Emeka Okafor
Small Forward – Bobby Simmons
Shooting Guard – Michael Redd
Point Guard – T.J. Ford

Bench

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Center – Dan Gadzuric
Power Forward – Joe Smith
Small Forward – Jiri Welsch
Small Forward – Jason Kapono
Shooting Guard – Bernard Robinson
Shooting Guard – Erick Strickland
Point Guard – Maurice Williams

As you can see I made one big transaction dealing Desmond Mason, Toni Kukoc, and Marcus Fizer to the Bobcats in return for Emeka Okafor, Bernard Robinson, and Jason Kapono. Prior to the season I have also released Calvin Booth, Daniel Santiago, and Reece Gaines to open up even more cap room. I needed a solid PF (Okafor) and could do without Desmond Mason. Bobcats expressed interest in Mason so it was a 2 way street. Kapono is my 2nd SF coming off the bench (along with Welsch) and Robinson can clean up at either SG or SF depending on whether or not Strickland plays SG or PG. This is a really flexible team with multiple players able to play different positions and contribute. With 18.74 Cap room and an array of young talent this team can go far.

Basically this is the framework of my 1st season. Thanks again to ShAuNCx9 because I basically just took his layout, so credit goes to him. Will include brief summary after each game. Also, will probably play 1-2 games per day depending if I have time.

Would definitely appreciate some comments during my dynasty. Thank you.

Game 1 - Milwaukee Bucks 162 @ Boston Celtics 60

Bucks Lay Down The Law Against Celtics

Playing their first game well into mid-November, critics believed that the young Bucks would be very shaky and fall to the Boston Celtics. This was not the case as the Bucks defeated Boston by 102 points!! That's right, 102. Even head coach Terry Stotts couldn't believe what just happened. The front court tandem of Emeka Okafor and Andrew Bogut proved to be too much for Celtics' front court as both players scored 32 pts and 13 rebounds a piece. With no Buck playing less than 10 minutes, six players scored in double digits and as a team, combined for 32 assists. Okafor was 3 assists shy of a triple double. The disgruntled Celtics rushed to their locker room after the game as their own crowd showered them with Boo's and some even threw some beer at Paul Pierce. The Celtic All-Star shot a dismal 5-18 from the field and now the Celtics need to regroup if they want to win anymore games.

That's way to unrealistic. Sorry. And what's with the jerseys?

Mon Aug 15, 2005 8:31 am

the jerseys are fixed now

it was first time i used these settings....i've tweaked everything...hopefully it will be realistic....but they were missing so many wide open shots in the paint too

Mon Aug 15, 2005 8:41 am

Hopefully it will be more realistic next time. Good luck. (Y)

Mon Aug 15, 2005 8:59 am

Wow, that is very unrealistic! As sensation said, hopefully you can make it more realistic

Mon Aug 15, 2005 9:02 am

unrealistic. and i thought my 150 points was unrealistic!

Mon Aug 15, 2005 11:33 am

what a crazy win...hopefully you will fix it...good luck next game

Game 2 - Milwaukee Bucks 87 @ Houston Rockets 73

Bucks Brought Back Down To Earth But Still Get Win

After their 102 point blowout of the Boston Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks squeezed past the Houston Rockets by 14 points. Early on, lead changes went back and forth as Michael Redd and Tracy McGrady battled it out. In the 2nd half however, the Bucks pulled out to a 10 point lead late in the 3rd. They would not relinquish this as free throws went down for the Bucks. Emeka Okafor had another double double with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The presence of Yao Ming proved to be too much for rookie Andrew Bogut as he only scored 8 points but grabbed a helpful 10 rebounds. The Bucks are 2-0 heading into the month of December.

for this game i changed the user sliders to 40 for steal, 35 for intercept and 0 for block while cpu sliders were at 35 for steal, 30 for intercept and 0 for block. I will try 1 more game with these settings...if it's good i'll keep them and if i have another blowout, so be it...if it doesn't fit what i want i will tweak again

Game 3 - New Jersey Nets 76 @ Milwaukee Bucks 104

Bucks Route The Nets

In a game which pitted perennial all stars Michael Redd and Vince Carter, it was the domination of one player over another. Redd prevailed and dropped 22 pts. Not to be outdone, Jason kidd added game high 28 points to pull the Nets close. Although the Bucks led from start to finish, the Nets did not quit and fought to within 15 in late 3rd. It all fell apart for New Jersey when reserves came in and faced the starters of the Bucks. The lack of front court of New Jersey proved to be the difference as Emeka Okafor scored 12 points and added 11 rebounds to record his 3rd straight double double. The Bucks improve to 3-0.

Game 4 – Milwaukee Bucks 102 @ Utah Jazz 86

Late Run By Jazz Not Enough

One of the best defensive teams in the league, Utah Jazz, used their offense to get back into the game. Milwaukee led for most of the game with a few lead changes. Rookie Deron Williams opted to shoot the ball rather than pass; this was a good decision. Williams scored 20 points and led 4 Jazz in double digit scoring. The automatic double double machine, Emeka Okafor, recorded his 4th straight double double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bucks Rookie Andrew Bogut did not disappoint as he dropped 17 points and 13 rebounds. Michael Redd was lack-luster in this game but scored when it mattered most. With 6 minutes to go in the 4th, the Jazz were down by 6 hoping the Bucks would self destruct. In comes Redd to save the day with back to back threes to give the Bucks a comfortable margain. They would not relinquish the lead and held on to improve to 4-0 on the season.

FINAL TWEAK-0 for all abilities for CPU and USER….I will leave it at this for the rest of the season

Game 5 - Milwaukee Bucks 96 @ Los Angeles Clippers 70

Bogut Big Again In Win Over Clippers

After the 1st quarter, the Bucks led by 17 and their subs were getting tired; that's all you need to know about this game. From start to finish, the Bucks dictated play led by their rookie sensation, Andrew Bogut who poured in a game high 23 pts and 13 rebounds. His partner in crime, Mek, did not disappoint either; although Mek did not have a double double, he was 1 rebound and 1 assist shy of a triple double. Newly acquired Sam Cassell of the Los Angeles Clippers did not disappoint the fans as he scored a team high 18 points but was not enough as only 3 players scored in double digits. If Clippers want to be successful they must have more contributors. The Bucks improve to 5-0 under thuggyj.

Game 6 - Chicago Bulls 92 @ Milwaukee Bucks 97

Bucks Come Back In 4th For 6th Straight Win

In a battle of 2 young teams, both squads came to play. In the early going, the Bucks got out to a 15 point lead at the end of the first and seem very comfortable in their playing style. This was not the case in the 2nd and 3rd quarter as the Bulls knocked down shot after shot while playing great defense against the Twin Powers (Bogut and Mek). At the end of the 3rd, the Bucks found themselves down 7 heading into the 4th and looking for a way to get back into the game. Theres always a player that will step up when we least expect it; this time it was Michael Redd. He promptly knocked down back to back threes yet again to maintain a 5 point edge in mid 4th. The Bulls yet again decided to storm back and were motivated by the play of their point guard Kirk Heinrich scoring 27 points and going 12-20 from the field. The Bulls found themselves in a hole when they accidently fouled Michael Redd with 30 seconds to go down 3. Redd hit both freethrows to seal the win. Okafor was again the player of the game scoring a team high 26 points and adding 11 rebounds. The Bucks survived a scare to improve to 6-0 on the season
