Good Luck. Iz gon be tough for Harrington and Smith to guard centres and forwards that are 6'10 and up.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 7:18 am

I agree, but I think Al will be OK at PF, and Josh Smith is alreay a natural at the SF position. C will be a problem since Kevin Willis is my starter.

BTW, I forgot this.

Level- All-Star

Minutes- 5 Minute Quarters, 12 Min Sim Quarters

I will intervene at the 4th Quarter mark.

The Atlanta Hawk's Foundation has realised it is time for a change. We are bringing in a new GM that can hopefully help in the effort to bring the Hawk's back to the glory days. Hawk's fans worldwide, meet your new gm.

USHER

Usher: Thank you all for this oppertunity. As must of you know, I was part of the Cleveland Cavilier's organization last year. I realised I needed to help in the effort of my home team and in the city of Atlanta. I will try my best to be an honerable GM, and bring the Hawk's back to the playoffs.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 8:24 am

Usher: Fans of Atlanta, I would like to report a trade. We came to terms with the Portland TrailBlazers this afternoon on a trade.

Hawk's Get

Sebastian Telfair

Trailblazers Get

Boris Diaw

John Thomas.

Earlier today, Atlanta reporters caught up with rookie Sebastian Telfair.

Image

Reporter: Sebastian, how does it feel to now be a Hawk?

Sebastian Telfair- Man its great. This is a young organization with so much potential. We really have a great young group. I talked with Usher and Mike Woodson today, and they both informed me that I will be the starter at Point Guard. So this should be a great experience. Hopefully the crop of Al Harrington, J-Smoove, and Josh Childress, and I can get this thing done, and give the Hawk's fans something to be proud of. I feel like I'm ready. I'm honored to be in the position I am, and I can't wait until Friday when the season begins.

We are not far away from the Hawk's season opener. We urge you to tune in this season, which should be one full of excitement. With the new starting 5 of Kevin Willis, Al Harrington, Josh Smith, Josh Childress, and Sebastian Telfair, the Hawks could be in for one great ride

Tue Jul 26, 2005 11:08 am

This looks awesome!! Good luck dude!
BTW Great Trade.... (Y)
Cant wait for the first game!

As I am sure many of you know, we started this season with two problems to address. Those two problems were the Point Guard position, and the Center position. A few days ago, our establishment welcomed rookie point guard Sebastian Telfair to our team the Point Guard position handled, we needed to get ourselves a Center. So, with that in mind, I would like to report a trade.

Denver Nuggets Get

PG Tyronn Lue

Philadelphia 76ers Get

C Nene

Atlanta Hawks get

Image

C Samuel Dalembert

We expect a statement from Usher/Samuel Dalembert tommorow.

With all the rosters in place, the Hawk's are now ready to begin the season. This will be one wild ride, that you don't want to miss. Also, expect an updated roster up soon, and I will start the first game soon. All replies will be returned when I get a chance.

Sun Jul 31, 2005 2:59 am

great luck wit ur dynast

Sun Jul 31, 2005 4:26 am

did you DBF edit to make that trade?

are you going to make some sort of trade and get Joe Johnson? I could see one that you could make. This is assuming that your using the 0405Final rosters.

First sign Marcus Haislip. Hes an ok young player that would be used as trade bait in the Joe Johnson trade.

However, you would have to give up Al Harrington, but at the same time, you get rid of that contract. Josh Childress would also have to be included to replace Johnson at SG. The trade would go like this.

Atlanta Gets:
J. Johnson
W. McCarty
B. Outlaw

Phoenix Gets:
A. Harrington
J. Childress
M. Haislip

McCarty would replace Harrington at PF and start there. Outlaw would have to be included because of cap reasons. However he has one year left on his contract, so you could get rid of him after the season.

Then release Ekezie. He is a bad center and will do nothing to help your team.

With that, you have a good starting lineup and good backups at PF,SF, and PG. To address the needs of a backup SG and C, sign Dion Glover. He should fill the backup SG spot. Then to fill the backup C need, trade Tony Delk to the Raptors for Aaron Williams. He is better than the other 3 backup C's (Willis, Drobjnak, Collier) and can fill in for Dalembert if needed.

With Delk gone, a backup PG will be needed. Sign JR Bremer. He is young (24) and can fill in for Telfair if needed.

Then you will be running....

C S Dalembert
PF W McCarty
SF J Smith
SG J Johnson
PG S Telfair
6 D Glover
7 D Smith
8 JR Bremer
9 B Outlaw
10 A Williams
11 R Ivey
12 T Gugliotta
IR 1 K Willis
IR 2 J Collier
IR 3 P Drobjnak

There you have it. A young team with no glaring holes and a 30 million dollar payroll. That roster above could scare some teams.

Consider these roster changes, and good luck with ur dynasty.

Sun Jul 31, 2005 5:19 am

Whoa, definately appreciate the help on possible roster movements. To answer your question about the previous trade, no I didn't use DBF edit. I simply traded Tyronn Lue for Nene, because they wanted a PG, then I traded Nene for Dalembert.

As four your trade suggestions, I like some of the ideas. Although I like JJ, for now I want to see if Al Harrington can lead this team. If not, then he will be gone. As for your other suggestions, I like them alot. Maybe down the line I will use them. I like Delk, but I will have to trade him for a backup C at somepoint, as Drobjnak, Willis, and Collier won't get the job done. Time will tell. Appreciate the support though, and if my current roster doesn't bring in W's, I will def. consider your options. Thanks again.

ATLANTA HAWK'S FLY IN SEASON OPENER

You heard right. The Atlanta Hawk's were able to pull off a win in their first game. More suprising than that, they beat the World Champion San Antonio Spurs on the road! Fans are buzzing about this huge win in which Atlanta was able to beat the Spurs down the stretch, and pull out a nice fourth quarter run. With this win, hype is starting to settle in the city of Atlanta. And that may not be the best thing. Whether this win was a lucky one or not, we will find out down the road this season.

Mon Aug 01, 2005 6:04 am

Thanks guys. Can someone tell me how to edit my topic title?

Mon Aug 01, 2005 6:19 am

After the huge first win, several Hawk's met up with reporters to give their post game thoughts.

Image

Well you know, it was such a big win for us. It's always great to win the season opener. Doing it on the road, and beating the World Champion's is a totally different thrill, ya' know? We are all so excited, but like Coach Mike Woodson says, don't get caught in your own hype. So we are going to set our focus on our upcoming game.

Image

Oh this win is huge for us. It feels great, now that I have played my first game that I can say that I am officially an NBA player. Ya' know? Me, J-Smoove, and J-Chill along with Royal are so happy to get our first game over with. I know Donta couldn't play tonight, due to nagging injuries, but he will be here for our next game. So we are going to celebrate this huge victory, and than set our minds on our next game. Let's go Hawks!

Image

While Al Harrington was giving his post game comments, where he was talking about how big this win was, but that they weren't going to let it go to their heads, a question was brought up about rumors of Al requesting a trade.

Yeah, I heard about that. The rumors are untrue. Why would I want a trade before the season even began? I feel this franchise is ready to be revived. As long as we are winning, I am happy.

Reporter: What if the wins don't come?

Al- Well, we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

In other news, word leaked out that the trade of the Hawk's and 76ers has been altered. Predrag Drobjnak has been swapped to the 76ers for guard, Kevin Ollie to keep the trade in tact.

The Hawk's next game is at the Philadelphia 76ers, where Samuel Dalembert will face his former team. Don't miss it.

Hawk's Continue To Soar: Win Game 2

Hawks- 104 : 76ers- 86

The Hawk's picked up victory number 2 tonight, and it is yet another huge win. The Hawk's quickness and agility was just to much for the 76ers to handle in the fourth, and the Hawk's sped down the stretch, scoring on many fast break oppertunities, to pick up win number 2. The Hawk's revival, may be coming sooner than thought.
