McGrady Destroy's "Defending Champions"
The Rockets Walk Right Past The Pistons

(No Photos Today, Because I Just Learned How To Get Pics)
Tracy McGrady Get's His 50th Point Of The Game

The Palace Of Auburn Hills, Detroit, MI
November 2nd, 8:00 PM
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----The Piston fans came to see a win by their defending champions, but their hope would soon be lost. The early parts of the game was in the Pistons favour, leading by as much as 14 points, but the underdog Rockets soon showed signs of a victory. McGrady and Hamilton were the leading scorers from both teams. McGrady with 15 points and Hamilton with 11 points. First Quarter Score: 27-22 Pistons
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----While Rip Hamilton slowed down on the scoring, T-Mac just sped up. With his team contributing more than the first quarter, the Rockets eventually took the 4 point lead, their biggest lead of the game. Then Billups hit 5 straight shots in a row, finishing the game with 28 points(Leading Pistons In Scoring). Everyone on the Pistons starting line-up just about were all in 10 figures.(Rasheed Wallace-8 points) Ending the 1st half, Rip had 18 Points and McGrady had 30 points. Half-Time Score:46-43
Pistons.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----At half-time, Ahmad Rashad interviewed Tracy McGrady(30 Points)
Ahmad: "How did you get into such a rythym to get 30 points at the end
of the 1st half?"

Tracy: "Before the game, I thought all posotive thoughts. Know what I mean, like, I set a goal tonight, and I'm gunna try meet that goal. We may be versing the World Champion Pistons, but that won't stop me from a good game tonight."

Ahmad: "OK, thanks Tracy."

Tracy: "No Prob."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----The 3rd quarter is when the Rockets took over the game and the Pistons. T-Mac took a seat for the first time in the game, but Derek Fisher didn't let the Rockets slow down when Tracy wasn't playing. Fisher contributed with 14 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. When the 3rd quarter ended, Rip only had 22 points, but on the other hand, McGrady had 41 points. 3rd Quarter Score: 77-61 Rockets
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Rockets had led the Pistons as much as 18 points in the forth, just then, Billups exploded. Cutting the deficet into 8 points. But McGrady wasn't gunna let the game slip out of his hands. He went out his several jumpers in a row, getting his points total into 50!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Player Of The Game: Tracy McGrady- 50 Points, (6-11 3P, 10-10 FT)
3 Steals
Hon. Mention: Chauncy Billups- 28 Points, (3-7 3P, 3-4 FT) 3 Rebounds,
2 Assists

FINAL SCORE: 98-89 Rockets

Houston Rockets Record: 1-0--------Detroit Pistons Record: 0-1

The Underdog Raptors Pass The Rockets

Starting Line-Up Adjustments

C-Yao Ming
PF-Juwan Howard
SF-Tracy McGrady
SG-Jon Barry
PG-Derek Fisher
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sky Dome, Toronto, ONT
November 3rd, 7:00 PM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Raptors started the game on a quick pace taking the lead over the Rockets, but the Rockets fight back into the game. McGrady was hot from the feild, but also with him was Rafer Alston who finished the 1st with 14 points and McGrady with 14 points also. The first quarter score was a close one: 23-22 for the Raptors.
Image
Tracy McGrady Lit It Up In The First
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Raps weren't gunna give up the lead, in the second quarter, they had a lead up to as much as 9 points. Tracy McGrady may have been super hot from the field, but the Rockets still strailed my a bit at the end of the 1st half by 7 points.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Players At The Half

Tracy McGrady-24 points, 2 steals

Chris Bosh-4 points,6 rebounds, 1 of assist,steal and block

Image
Morris Peterson POSTERIZES Dikembe Mutumbo
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chris Bosh was the man of the third. Leading the Raptors into a 12 point lead over the Houston Rockets. But then McGrady stunned everyone in the stadium. He scored 3 3-pointers and 3 deep 2's in a row, equivalent to 15 points. He got those 15 points in 1:45 seconds. Thats when he hit his 48th point.(both below)

Tracy's 48th Point Of The Night
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scoring several times in the forth, the Rockets thought they had it all in their direction...........but they didn't. McGrady had played the entire game and sat 45 seconds into the 4th quarter. (Big MISTAKE from me for not keeping McGrady on when we were failing to score, because getting two 50 point games is out of this world!) The Rockets fell behind by big, as much as 16 now. The Rockets lose in a dissapointing Raptors win. They win by 7 points.

-----Even more scoring for Tracy and more assists for Derek. Williams started scoring on a consistant basis. Make James came off the bench strong in the second quarter(below). By half-time, Tracy McGrady has 33 points including 6 3-pointers. Williams has 15 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----Jason Williams STILL hot from the field. Yao owned the boards and in the 3rd, got 11 points(all in the paint). Lorenzon(error) Wright through down 3, back to back jams(below). Throughout the third quarter, it stayed close, but at the end of the 3rd, the score was tied at 67 points.

-----Rockets started out slow in the forth, trailing by 8 points. But a Houston come-back tied it up again at 80. Soon, Tracy McGrady tied the game with his 9th 3-pointer(below)! but as the Rockets had the momentum, Battier hit a three pinter with 1.2 left. The inbound went to McGrady but he missed the shot to tie the game.

I know it's really easy/tempting to score with McGrady, since it's so easy, even on superstar..but you should try to pass more and become more of a complete player.

For example, the drive and dish. He should never have a game with 0 assists. 21 3pt attempts is ridiculous!

Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:13 am

I feel sorry for Yao
