Would the Amare-Dwayne Trade profit the Lakers?

Sertainly, Amare is a good post player and Barbosa a good PG.

YoG's Dynasty||Switching up Teams::: LA Lakers|DET GAME

Fri Jul 08, 2005 5:16 pm

Re-Make Past|A Fresh dynasty|LA Lakers
In this dynasty There will be a few things different from how they were in real life because the teams chose to do other things.
In this dynasty I will coach the LA Lakers and I will follow the following teams to Orlando Magic,Houston Rockets,Miami Heat,Utah Jazz,Atlanta Hawks.

After the 2004 season The lakerd did not manage to win their title and Karl Malone and Gary Payton were very pissed that I did not work out. They both wanted to leave to another team. The Laker decided to Trade the Duo to Utah in exchange for Carlos Boozer. Also Shaq was'nt happy with Kobe and he wanted to leave 2. They looked for a trade with the Miami heat. But the heat unfortunatly did'nt want to lose Lamar Odom. So they traded Shaq for Wade and a Draft Pick witch turned out to be forward Patrick Kaas (Me :D )

The magic did Not trade T'mac for Francis bu they were willing to to Trade for Mobley and Ming. and so they did.

The atlanta Hawks also made a great move that year by trading Childress,Delk and Smith away to Utah for Kirlilenko,Borchard and Livingston. Also the Antoine Walker trade did'nt went trough.

The new teams

NEW LAKERS PRESENT THEMSELVE IN LA

#5 Carlos Boozer

#3 Dwyane Wade

#26 Patrick Kaas

These are the 3 new players you are going to see walk around in a Golden LA Lakers Jersey. All 3 are attained in a trade and rumours go on that the Lakers now hold the Most powerfull lineup in Basketball history. The bettingstations in whole america now think that Kobe will be going for his 4th Championship ring this season and that next season will be good to if they try to Hold rookie Patrick Kaas. Here is a evaluation of all the Lakers Players for this Season.

C: #5 Carlos Boozer
He was attained in a trade involving veterans Karl Malone and Gary Payton. It's a good trade for the lakers because they now have there hands on a Powerfull C/PF who can do good things in the post. Expected is that he will score around 10 points a game to help the Lakers in the Post.

PF: #26 Patrick Kaas
A rookie who was drafted by Miami and who thought he would be in the Shadow of Lamar Odom but with some luck he was traded in on of the biggest blockbusters to LA.This rookie is originaly a SF but can do some postmoves to. He is very small with his 6'7 at PF but with bigger opponents he can use his shooting abbility. Key for the Lakers is to involve this kid into the Game they play so he can grow.

SF: #1 Caron Butler
Also a very young player. He showed everybody that he is very atletic and he can do things with the ball some other 6'7 guys would dream of doing. He is expected to score not a whole lot because of the 3 stars that are around him. Still he's gonna be important on days Kobe or D-Wade play worse.

SF: #8 Kobe Bryant
The star and leader of the LA Lakers. He's gonna be a huge factor for how fare the lakers will bring it this year. But he also gotta understand he's not the only good player on this team and that he needs to pass the ball.

SF: #3 Dwyane Wade
Is still a 2nd year player and some people forget that. He playes the point like he's a 10 year verteran and that's gonna help the Lakers I think. Dwyane runs the plays so in this way Kobe can't get the ball to much. Wade's gotta understand he also gotta share the ball but I think that won't be a big issue.

As you all can see the LA Lakers have a very powerfull lineup witch can if they use it good cause serious damage. We can only guess now how far they are gonna come. but I can tell you if they don't make it to the finals they did something very wrong.

Try makin ya photos smaller. Those ppl who run 56k prolly can't see that and it'll load so slow for them. Also the smaller the pic, the better the quality.

Trading to make the team better
After some training games and trying out this LA Lakers team before my first game agianst Atlanta I found I don't have a big arsenal of 3 Point shooters. the only one who can shoot from outside is my Point Guard Chucky atkins and Kobe bryant. So I went to the Trade market with in mind that I needed 3 Point shooters and that I wanted to get my -8Mil. cap space down a bit.

1st Trade offer
The first trade offer I gave to Charlotte it was like this.

--------------------------------------

Gerald wallace 69
Jason Kapono 56

for

Caron Butler 69
Vlade Divac 57

--------------------------------------
Good things:
-I will lose some age and a Injury Prone player in Vlade Divac.
-I will get a good 3 Point shooter in Jason Kapono
-My cap space will go from -8,16Mil. to -3,34Mil.

Bad things
-I will lose a future Star in Caron Butler.

2nd Trade offer
The first trade offer I gave to New Orleans it was like this.

--------------------------------------

J.R. Smith 60
Casey Jacobsen 55

for

Devean George 63
Jumaine Jones 57

--------------------------------------

Good things:
-I will get a future Allstar in J.R. Smith
-I will get a good 3 Point shooter in Casey Jacobsen
-My cap space will go from -8,16Mil. to -7,05Mil.

Bad things
-I will Get worse players back in Ratings.

Free Agent Signings

I was also thinking of signing Free Agent Rookie Center David Harrison. He is a 50 Center that's 7'0 and he only wants like 350K for this season.

Guys tell me what do you think of these trades and signings. Please give some arguments for your opinion when you give it.

Sun Jul 10, 2005 6:52 pm

1st Trade Offer: Yes, because Kapono is a sharp shooter and wallace could be a great bench player and solid starter.

2nd Trade Offer: In my opinion, No...basically because i think that devean george is a good solid bench player and has some years in the league, but its kinda hard...This trade is all up to you.

Signing: Yes, you need size in that team, specially if u are gonna trade Divac...

*Also if u want, try getting a lil more experienced guys on your team (Its up to you)

(Y) Good Luck (Y)

Lakers Win By big numbers.

Matchups:
Carlos Boozer - Al Harrington
Patrick Kaas - Antoine Walker
Caron Butler - Andrei Kirilenko
Kobe Bryant - Boris Diaw
Dwyane Wade - Tyronn Lue

The Game:
It went like I planned before. We played our good offense involving as many guys as we could and Dwayne wade did his thang on D.

In the first quarter we To close out with one point in our favor. It was still testing the players and searching for there strong points and there weak points. Soon I found out that Carlos Boozer was more powerfull in the Post than Harrington was. I exploited that as much as I could but soon they started doubling up the D on Boozer.

In the 2nd quarter we looked at the D first and later at Offense. We tried to make as many defensive stops as we could so we could make the players of atlanta cold. That worked very well and we closed the bucket the whole quarter. at the half we were in from by 9 points but I did'nt had the feeling we had allready won.

In the 3th we went on with the plan that worked for us in the 2nd quarter and once agian it seemed to work. with the help of some great defensive skills of Dwayne Wade and Kobe Bryant we could stop atlanta and make a basket on the other side of the coart. After 3 quarters of play we sat down and took a look at the scoreboard and saw we were in front by 14 and I was happy cause we had our first win of the season.

I the 4th we only looked at the end of the game so we ould celibrate our victory over the hawks but we stayed focused and played our game that.

When finally the horn sounded we were happy we had won by a confortable margin and we had our first win of the season.

Lakers Welcome new players

After a long day of talking with the charlotte bobcats the Lakers finally made a deal with them. They sent Caron Butler and Vlade Divac to Charlotte and welcome Gerald Wallace and Jason Kapono in LA. I think this is a really good trade because we will clear up some cap space and get a tall SF in Wallace and a good perimeter shooter in Kapono.

The team looks like this after the trade and the signing.

Lakersclose big gap bu still they lose.

Matchups:
Carlos Boozer - Jaroon Collins
Patrick Kaas - Nenad Kristic
Gerald Wallace - Brian Scalabrine
Kobe Bryant - Vince Carter
Dwyane Wade - TyronJason Kidd

The Game:
On the schedule was a tough away game in New Jersey agianst the Nets. We hoped that we could pick up our second win of the season and that Wallace and Kapono would play well.

In the 1st quarter we did the best we could to stay close to the nets and with some good help by Kobe we could do that. Unfortunate we shot very bad

the 2nd quarter and Wade tried to take to many shots and that's mainly the reason why the nets had such a good run.

In the 3th we tried to use all of our players to mount a comeback but when I noticed That did'nt work I did it the LA Way and did all balls to bryant witch seemed to work. He had a great night scoring a season high 43 points but I was'nt enough. Unfortunatly enough he missed a 3 with 2,1 second to go in the game and so we lost.

Overall I was pretty happy because Gerald Wallace had a avarage game and Also David Harrison did something good in the field grabbing 7 rebounds and scoring 4 points.

OT Brings Us The Win.

Matchups:
Chris Mihm - Jamaal Magloire
Carlos Boozer - PJ Brown
Gerald Wallace - Lee Nailon
Kobe Bryant - JR Smith
Dwyane Wade - Dan Dickau

The Game:
Today we had our third game witch was in Staples centre in LA. As opponent we faced the New Orleans Hornets who did'nt look to good on paper but we could not underestimate them.

In the 1st quarter we noticed that we could'nt underestimate them because they took a big and commanding lead at the end of the 1st with leading by 8 points. I was really suprised by this because we have a big star team playing the worst team in the NBA and being behind by 8 after the 1st.

In the 2nd we came out hunting with Jason Kapono playing some good ball. we did what we could the whole quarter and we managed to come back to 4 points behind. Still it was no good situation but it was better than after 1.

In the 2nd half we did the same formula as we did the 2nd quarter and we fought back even more. With still one quarter to go it looked ok. In the 4th we closed the gap and stayed tied till the Horn.

In the OT we used alot of Kobe and C-Booz to make the differance and hell they did. we closed out the OT with 5 points in front and we had our second win of the season.

I was really happy after the game except for one thing. The play of gerald wallace.vHe made only 8 points and shot 2 for 12 from the field. We decided that training him on shooting would be great and we promised him that if we had the development points we would train him on shooting.

Will come but my PC would'nt upload them :?

Hustle and Hard D result in Wins.

Matchups:
Carlos Boozer - Emeka Okafor
Gerald Wallace - Malik Allen
Jason Kapono - Caron Butler
Kobe Bryant - Kareem Rush
Dwyane Wade - Brevin Knight

The Game:
Today was a away game in charlotte agianst the Charlotte bobcats who had lost all there 4 played games thusfar. I thought It would be an easy run but I was completly wrong.

In the 1st quarter I could not find the touch and I shot very bad resulting in the Bobcats taking a big lead and doing some excellent D so I could'nt get in to a Hot streak.

In the 2nd I Tried out Gerald wallace who had been struggeling the laast days as a PF because I wanted Booz as My center. It went very well because Wallace is alot quicker then Malik allen. He made some nice dunks on fast breaks witch provided me some hard needed points. We came back a lil' bit.

In the 2nd half I went on like that and Wallace and Boozer were a very dangerous duo combining 35 points. We also had a big problem with Dwyane wade and Kobe Bryant who only scored 15 points together.

In the end it looked like the Hard nose D and the good offensive play was'nt gonna pay off but thenw e had some good Flashes of Dwyane Wade he scored 2 Big Dunks in a row witch gave me the win and a 3-1 Streak.

How are the players doing?
The first month is gone and as you could see the lakers are doing very well being at 4-1 at the moment. in the last game they beat opponent San antonio by one.
But now it's time to take a look back at the first month of the traded players. In this montly coming back Item we will take a look at:

Laker Dwyane Wade
Laker Carlos Boozer
Hawk Antoine Walker
Hawk Andrei Kirilenko
Magic Yao Ming
Rockets Steve Francis
Jazz Gary Payton
Jazz Karl Malone
Jazz Josh Chilldress
Jazz Josh Smith
Heats Lamar Odom

Laker Dwyane Wade
Image
2005 Lakers Stats 12.4 PPG 1.4 RPG 4.8 APG
2005 NBA Stats 24.1 PPG 5.2 RPG 6.8 APG

You can see the trade to the LA Lakers have gotten the worst our of Wade. On all front he is almost scoring less than half he did in the 2005 NBA season with the Heat. but still Wade is a good role player with this kind of stats.
With the Amare trade prolly coming up this is the best for the Lakers and for Wade at the moment.
________________________________________________________________________

Laker Carlos Boozer
Image
2005 Lakers Stats 20.6 PPG 10 RPG 3 APG
2005 NBA Stats 17.8 PPG 9 RPG 2.8 APG

As you can see C-Booz Is stating to play better when He joined the LA Lakers organization. It's tough for him to keep scoring 21 points a game when he's in a team that has 3 all star's but for the moment he's doing very good.

________________________________________________________________________

Hawk Antoine Walker
Image
2005 Hawks Stats 20.3 PPG 9.3 RPG 3.8 APG
2005 NBA Stats 19.1 PPG 9 RPG 3.4 APG

Toine did a great thing with staying with Hawks he's now a good duo with tha russian AK47 and scores better than he did this season with the Celtics. Expect this guy to do more crazy stuff because on the current Hawks team there is'nt a Paul "I want all balls" Pierce on the team.

________________________________________________________________________

Hawk Andrei Kirilenko
Image
2005 Hawks Stats 19.5 PPG 8.3 RPG 2.5 APG
2005 NBA Stats 15.6 PPG 6.2 RPG 3.2 APG

Also Kirilenko did a good job scoring 5 points more on the Hawks team then he used to do in Utah. He also did a good job with obtaining the November Player of the month awards in the Western.

________________________________________________________________________

Magic's Yao Ming
Image
2005 Magic Stats 20.5 PPG 10.2 RPG 4.5 APG
2005 NBA Stats 18.3 PPG 7.6 RPG 0.8 APG

Is doing a great job since he arrived in Orlando. He is still bringing up the points and rebounds he did in the NBA but now he understands he also needs to pass the ball to his teammates to win games.

Next moth we will take a look at the other players that were traded at the beginning of the season.

Wed Jul 20, 2005 12:21 am

Yao Ming Assisting more :shake:

Wed Jul 20, 2005 3:39 am

Wade remains solid even playing with Kobe  I like the switching up you did, makes things a little more interesting.
