Bosh came to the locker room and told everybody that we can win. And as a leader he scored a lot in the game. In the 3rd quarter Raptors made an attempt to tie the game, but they weren’t able to. Detroit’s hot shooting kept them from tying the game. In the 4th quarter Raptors played outstanding D#. At about 2:00 mark both teams were close, only 3 points separated them. When announcer said it was 1:00, the teams were even closer, only separated by 1 point. Billups got the ball and passed it to Sheed. Rasheed missed and Rose got the ball. He dribbled it down the court, pushed Mo Pete, but there was no call and he freely dunked the ball. The score was 118-117. The pistons got the ball, but Rafer stole it. He passed it to Bosh and he was fouled. Chris made both free throws. Then Rafer stole the ball again and made a lay-up. The Raps win again. ” We’re on a roll and hoping to stay that way” – Said Araujo after the game.

Nice to see yet another Raps dynasty, damn, I'm starting to get some serious competition :P . Good to see you on a 3-0 start, I hope you can build on that. Acquiring Tayshaun Prince is also good, you finally get someone who's pretty athletic and can play some defence; just what the doctor ordered for the Raptors. Prince is also one of my favourite players, so it's always a plus for me to read this dynasty. :D Keep up the good work.

”After we traded our only three point shooter, we needed a good 3 point shooter, Bryce was on the Free Agent list, so we decided to offer him a deal” – Said Toronto Raptors GM.

”I’m happy to play for a team again, I was tired of being there on the Free Agent list all the time. I knew they didn’t have a good 3 point shooter, so I was waiting for them to call me. After only waiting a couple of days they called me and asked me for a deal. Of course, I agreed.” – Said Bryce Drew on the Media Conference.

”Bryce will be our back up PG, since we traded ours in a deal. He’ll play in the next game against Philly – Announced today Head Coach Sam Mitchell.

TORONTO
C Rafael Araujo

KEY MATCHUP
CHRIS WEBBER VS CHRIS BOSH

”Our main goal is to make Iverson work, make him take bad shots, don’t let him do those crazy moves on you” – Said Assistant Coach Alex English before the game. In the 1st quarter Toronto jumped out in front by 9.In the 2nd quarter Philadelphia was playing better and scored some nice shots. Both teams went in to the locker room tied at 48.In the 3rd quarter both teams were playing very close. In the 4th quarter both teams were close, too. We needed an OT to settle this battle between them. In the OT the veterans took over the game. For Toronto it was Rose and for Philly it was Webber. They scored a lot of points in OT, trying to win this game. But at the end 76ers Kind of gave up and all the Raps needed to do is to finish the game. 2 quick 3 pointers by Drew decided the outcome of this game.

KEY MATCHUP
CHRIS BOSH VS ZACH RANDOLPH

”To win, we need to be physical against their big men. If we allow a lot of points from the paint, we will lose. Our main goal is to keep the ball away from Randolph.” – Said Aaron Williams during the warm-up shooting. In the 1st quarter, both teams were fairly close, Toronto had a couple of good baskets which helped them stay close, because their D# just sucked that quarter. In the 2nd quarter Toronto was playing awesome Offense and good Defense. They scored 41 ponits in that quarter, mostly from their outside shooting in the end of the quarter. Prince scored 3 of his 4 3’s in the end of the 2nd quarter. In the 3rd quarter Raps jumped out in front, but at about 2:00 mark they started playing badly and holded a slim lead heading in to the 4th quarter. In the 4th both teams were close, but Raps were the better team today, and they won.

I don't like this trade. Jacobson is a good spot-up three point threat, but he doesn't do much of anything else besides giving you that. Palacio is your back-up point guard and the point guard spot is always a big hole for the Raptors. Matt Bonner is an exellent spot-up shooter as well, and is probably only a little worse than Jacobson. Plus Bonner can play the power foward position, so even though Matt's not the best rebounder, he can still rebound way better than Jacobson and the Raptors completely suck at rebounding......

P.S. I'm guessing you're not a Raptor fan, because Matt isn't the type to curse at the Raptors once he leaves. He's actually a Raptor favourite and he's a very down to earth nice guy who plays his butt off every game.

No, I'm not a big Raps fan, I like Denver! But hey, I already told u my concept, great offense wins games( I don't like that crap about: Deffense Wins games!)

Sat May 14, 2005 12:26 am

In Drew, u will got a lot of offense and fouls, he is very good for that, in deffense he is good too but the bad point is that he miss a lot of easy layup points... but he can be a real go to guy (i don't know why he play like that with the offense rating he got, mistery...) nice choice (Y)
It's_Asdf, is right Jacobsen trade is not u'r best GM trading decision...

Not worth it. You could've have made Bonner better instead of giving him away for Jacobsen who isn't really good at anything accept threes and misses them half the time.

Toronto wins another one over Indiana

TORONTO – INDIANA 138-131

TORONTO
C Rafael Araujo
PF Chris Bosh

SG Jalen Rose
PG Rafer Alston

INDIANA
C Dale Davis
PF Jermaine O’Neal

SG Reggie Miller
PG Jamal Tinsley

KEY MATCHUP
CHRIS BOSH VS JERMAINE O’NEAL

In the 1st quarter both teams were pretty much playing Offense only. Raps scored 37 and Pacers scored 35. Teams didn’t concentrate a lot on D# and were mainly playing good Offense. In the 2nd quarter Toronto was playing slightly better and was leading at the half by 6. In the 3rd quarter Indiana was playing really bad. They missed easiest play-ups and weren’t able to score from downtown. As the teams headed into the 4th Raps had a commanding lead over Pacers. In the 4th Indiana forgot about playing Defense at all and scored 46 points that quarter, but it wasn’t enough to beat the red hot Raps.

Bosh scores 31, not enough to beat Dallas

November 21, 2004
Dallas 120
Toronto 115

Toronto, ON - Toronto was 6-0 and came to Dallas ready to play. Jason Terry was the leader for the Mavs during the first 2 quarters. The Raptors wanted to concentrate on covering Dirk, but he wasn’t the star for the Mavs. Terry scored 16 points during 2 quarters. For the Raptors, Tayshaun Prince and Jalen Rose were the go to guys. Bosh was cold and only scored 10 points in the first half. During the half time break Dallas was leading 58-52, due to a great closing of the half, they knocked couple of three’s and didn’t let the Raps score a lot. In the half time Sam Mitchell told the players to play good Defense and fight for every rebound.

In the third quarter both teams were playing close. Starting guard Rafer Alston had 6 steals, 8 assists and made 10 points. Center Rafael Araujo scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. In the 3rd quarter Dirk Nowitzki got his 4th foul and was sitting on the bench till 2:00 in the 4th.

In the 4th quarter, Bosh was clearly the star for the Raptors and Finley was the star for the Mavericks. Bosh scored 21 points in the second half, 14 of them came in the 4th quarter. He was pulling down every rebound. Finley scored 32 points and recorded 4 assists. He helped his team a lot. In the end, Raptors just couldn’t get the W and the Mavs got their 3rd win of the season. It’s the first Raptors loss of this great season that they have.
