Getting back Lakers on top! DYNASTY

Tue Mar 01, 2005 12:57 am

Well I started a new Dynasty and I took my favarite team the LA lakers. My goal to accomplish is to Rebuild the Lakers squad to the Championship team they were when Shaq played there.

My starting 5:
1. Chucky Atkins
2.Kobe Bryant
3.Devean George
4.Lamar Odom
5.Brian Cook

The first game agianst The Utah Jazz I lost by 8 points but I was happy cause I came back from a 25 point behind. I noticed that some players were'nt at all good for my system. So I went on the trade market and put up Walton,Vujacic,Jones,Medvedenko. and I proposed the following trade.

and the 2nd trade I did was.

the 3th trade was.

The last trade was eventually dropped by the lakers.

Game 2:
They needed to play game 2 on the road agianst the Bobcats and they still played with the old team without any trades done. The gap was made quickly when the Coach changed his starting line late in the first quarter. and another game was lost.

The first 2 trades went on so now the lakers have a way better team and also alot better subs.

the starting 5 is now.
1.Atkins
2.Bryant
3.George
4.Odom
5.Grant

bench:
Person
Divac
Pargo
Nocioni
Mihm
Cook.

they still looking to get a trade for Butler and some other guys but I can tell you guys hwo happy I am that I made the Jones-Person trade. person is not the quickest playedr but he can really shoot the ball from half coart and can make open and forced 3's I think Person,Bryant and Odom can work out to be a feared trio
The great LA Lakers trio:

and then I also have a great playmaking point guard in Atkins and a good solid center in Grant. and some pretty good backups.

Playing my 3th game agianst the Caveliers I had a change to test out my new players. I the firts few minutes I could really see why I got Person in a trade he shot very well. Also Nocioni was good in his first game getting some cluch points and some important rebs. I think I played really well offensively the whole game but I really need to work on my defence.

PoG was Cleveland's Lebron James scoring 26 points and getting 5 steals.

for the lakers only 2 players had a real good game:

Kobe Bryant

Wesley Person

The player who was most dissapointing for the Lakers was Lamar Odom he scored only 8 points and sad down with 5 fouls after plying 10 mins in the 2nd quarter. in the 4th he came in agian and mad a foul within 5 secs. so he was out.

I think you should start Mhim instead of grant. I just think he's a better fit (at least he is for my playing style!)

I concur. The main problem with Grant is that he's too short for a C. In this game, size DOES matter , A LOT. Just have a game with Peja Stojakovic at SG and you'll know what I mean...

I with you on the height thing. With Live 04, Skita was listed as a SF, so effectively you could have a 7'0 SF, 7'1 PF (Tyson Chandler) and 7'0+ centre as well as some tall guards - Turkoglu 6'10 SG and move James 6'8 to the point. That's a pretty huge lineup!
