Nov. 5th, 2004 - United Center - Chicago, IL

The Bulls eager to improve on last season's record start the new season off with with a tough schedule. The Bulls will welcome the New Jersey Nets tonight, the Pacers tomorrow and the Suns on the 9th. The Young Guns have some new faces suited up this year, 2 of which are in the starting rotation, Ben Gordan and Luol Deng will do the honors at SG and SF respectively. Coach Skiles was asked what he plans on doing differently this year, he responded with, "We are going to work the paint area, last year we relied on the jumper way to much, and it just wasnt falling. This year will be a lot different, we will start on the inside and work our way out. Curry's a potential threat, we need to use him, everyone says he didnt get enough touches to shine last season. Lets see what happens when he does."

With that said lets look at the Nets, this year they have a new look with K. Mart' parting ways and signing with the Nuggets, thats 15+ points and 10 rebounds the Nets will have to account for. Kidd was asked how will they account for that loss, Kidd speaks, "We have no choice, whats done is done, so the remaining players on the team are going to have to step up and pull their own weight plus whats missing from Kenyon. Guess that means R.J. will see a few more shots as well as Mercer, both of which are capable scorers. As far as the rebounds are concerned, Williams, Collins and our rookie Krstic will have to get it done, they have no choice."

Both teams look loose on the floor during the shootaround, lets take a break and get ready for some action.

Nets (1-0) at Bulls (0-0)

1st Qtr. - 26 - 14 NJ

Kidd comes out red hot draining everything he put up, ending the quarter with 8 pts. Mercer chipped in 6 pts of his own thanx to shakey D' from the rookie Ben Gordan. Curry and Chandler each with 4 pts and 3 rebounds lead the way for the Bulls. R.J. was hurt midway thru the game after attempting a fluke layup which happened to fall. He would not return to finish the game.

2nd Qtr. - 52 - 37 NJ

Bulls just cant get anything going on offense as they are forced to watch Kidd rip their team apart finishing the half with 20 pts and 2 assists. Mercer also taking advantage of the rookie's experience adds another 6 pts to his total bringing him to 12 for the half. Curry gets it going leading all Bulls scorers with 12 pts 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Gordan also gets his revenge draining 9 second quarter pts, Davis was forced to sit due to foul trouble.

Halftime Leaders...

3rd Qtr. - 63 - 64 Chi

Huge qtr. for Chicago with Curry leading the charge, he ends with 19 pts 9 rebounds. Tyson Chandler also gets motivated and ends with 16 pts 8 rebounds. The Bulls held the Nets to just 11 pts in the 3rd quarter, with Kidd scoring 7 of the 11 3rd qtr. points, he ends with 27 pts 4 rebounds and 2 assists. (Where did "THIS" Kidd come from) Aaron Williams not big on the scoreboard but he was huge in keeping the second shot attempts down for the Bulls, he ends with 4 pts. 10 rebounds and 5 blocks.

4th Qtr. - 87 - 84 NJ

Bulls fought hard to try and hold on to the lead but Kidd put on a clinic. The Bulls had a chance to tie with 3 seconds left on the clock, but Hinrich would miss the three, and the Bulls would tank their first game of the season, at home.

Great Start! Looks very solid! (Y) I was actually going to do the same format as well, keeping everything together like that.

Take those Bulls to the promise land.

Those sections will be updated as the season goes, for example if I make a trade the specifics of the trade will be posted in the Transactions section. Draft picks will go in the Draft section, etc...

Easier than having to go thru the thread in the long run to see what happened.

Nets game will be posted as soon as I get home today, forgot to bring my notes with me.

He will get a lot more tick now that I have to retire Scottie....not sure how effective he will be, but he will definetly log a few minutes.

Much easier to keep track of changes ...etc...especially if I take this dynasty a few seasons, instead of findind where I made trades, etc within the thread, you can easily go back to the first page and see it all. Thanx for checking in.

I'm glad you're starting a dynasty. I'm sure it's gonna be great. I'll be checking this thread out everyday.

Anyways, who do you think is better in NBA Live? Gordon or Deng? Any chance you will make one of them your top scorer?

Can't wait till I get my hands on the PC version so I can start one too.

I will be honest...So far Deng sux....very inconsistent, but hopefully that will change throughout the course of the season. Gordan can hit the J, and take it to the rack strong, so he will definetly be a focal point of the offense, top scorer not likely but he will definetly have a role to play.

I hope I can get an updated roster before i start my bulls dynasty on PC on November. No pippen, but with Gary Trent. I like to start with up to date rosters and then from that point on I just go with the dynasty flow.

I think my starting 5 will be something like: Curry, Chandler, Nocioni, Gordon, Hinrich.

But i'll test the players first to get a feel for them before i start.

I went with Deng over Nocioni, he's way to slow....Deng's not much faster though.

Game 1 is posted.....Game 2 will be up soon.

Yea, well if he's slow id go with Deng too. Gotta try and get the rookies playing in the rookie all-star game :)
I wonder if the young guys get better from having court time?

I can't believe i still have another month to wait
