October 20 - Beno Uldrih was waived by the Orlando Magic.
October 20 - Doron Lamb was waived by the Orlando Magic.

Chapter One: Uldrih and Lamb Get Waived
Image

Eviction: Sit down, both of you.
Uldrih: Okay, but is there a problem?
Eviction: Yes, there is. It has come to my attention that you two haven't been playing that well in the preseason.
Lamb: Look, I've been trying, but I just can't do anything. I'm struggling out there.
Eviction: Tell me, do you have any problems with your teammates? coaches?
Uldrih: No. not at all. I'm just not getting any shots to go in. And I need more minutes to get those shots.
Eviction: You have a decent amount of minutes and you don't need more with the way you've been playing.
As for you Doron, you're just not a fit in this roster. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to waive you both.
I already have an eye on who to replace you, they're not that young but at least they play good basketball.
Uldrih/Lamb: We understand.

October 22 - Tracy McGrady signs 3 year/$12M deal with Magic.

Chapter Two: T-Mac Returns to Orlando

T-Mac: Hello?
Eviction: Yes, sorry about the bother. I'm the GM for the Orlando Magic. I was wondering if I could meet you somewhere.
T-Mac: What is this about?
Eviction: I want to talk to you about a contract here in Orlando.
T-Mac: Insteresting, tell me more.
Eviction: Just like I said, I want to talk to you in person. Maybe a restaurant right here in Orlando.
T-Mac: Just tell me the time and I'll be there.
Eviction: 8 o'clock sharp.

Image

T-Mac: The food is really good. Why haven't I heard of this place?
Eviction: More on about the contract offer, how much do you want? The highest I can do is $12M for three years.
T-Mac: Done.
Eviction: You're accepting the offer just like that?
T-Mac: I like Orlando as my team, I had some good times here. And I need the money, I doubt any team would give me a better offer than yours.

October 25 - Gilbert Arenas signs 3 year/$18M deal with Magic.

Chapter 3: Arenas Plays Hard To Get

Secretary: Sir, someone wants to talk to you on the line.
Arenas: Hand it over. Hello?
Eviction: I'm the GM of the Orlando Magic, I want to offer you a contract.
Arenas: Meet me at my home, 2 o'clock in the afternoon. We'll talk there.

Image

Eviction: Nice place you got here. But let's talk about the contract offer.
Arenas: Orlando Magic right? Not the first team I would pick. How much can you offer?
Eviction: $12M for 3 years. Same amount I offered McGrady a few days ago.
Arenas: That's a bit too low.
Eviction: But you'll have the starting postion. How much more do you want?
Arenas: $20M for three years. Either you accept my offer or I'm going to have to ask you to leave my house.
Eviction: That's over the line! I don't even know if you still play that well. How can I be sure?
Arenas: I've been working on my shooting, durablity, and I'm pretty healthy.
Eviction: $18M is my final offer. If you won't accept it I'm going to have to find someone else.
Arenas: Okay, deal. You won't regret signing me.
Eviction: I sure hope not.

Chapter Four: A Trade Has Been Made

Player Thoughts:

Rudy Gay:
I'm glad to be a part of this team. I've always been a fan of the Magic, and I think I'll be staying here for a long time.

Image
Andrea Bargnani:
I haven't given it much thought. All I'm focused on now is winning.

Image
Landry Fields:
Any team is good enough for me. I want to do my best, whatever jersey I'm in.

Image
Gilbert Arenas:
Hopefully we'll be even better with all the young players that have been added to our lineup.

Image
Tracy McGrady:
Probably one of the best starting lineups in the Southeast Division. Next to the Miami Heat.

Chapter Five: T-Mac Has The Flu | Arenas Hits Game Winner In Overtime | Magic defeat Nuggets 131-129 In Season Debut

Image

First Quarter:
Tracy McGrady shoots the first basket, the first basket he shot in his new, er, old team. Iguodala had some jaw-breaking dunks. Gilbert Arenas kept raining threes, 4 three-pointers made in the first half and all in a row. Rudy Gay hit the buzzer-beater, which made the crowd crazy. The game was still close, the Magic lead 36-31.

Second Quarter:
Both teams were making shot after shot, so the lead wasn't still that big. Magic lead 65-62.

Third Quarter:
Wasn't a very good quarter for Javale McGee, with T-Mac and Rudy Gay posterizing him. The Nuggets were getting offensive rebounds like crazy, which caused the game to tie 90-90.

Fourth Quarter: The Nuggets were hitting almost every shot they made. The Magic were giving out turnovers repeatedly, giving the Nuggets a 14-point lead at 6 minutes left of the fourth quarter. The Magic make a comeback, Rudy Gay took over and managed to get the score at 112-112.

Overtime: Just like the Second Quarter, both teams were making shot after shot. The Nuggets lead 129-128 with the Magic bringing the ball in at halfcourt with 5.7 seconds left on the clock. The ball was given to T-Mac, he tries to find an open space but the Nuggets were double-teaming him. He finds Arenas and passes in to him with 1.9 seconds left. Arenas pumped-faked, Iguodala tried to block, He fades away hoping the shot would go in, It does. The crowd goes crazy and gives him a standing ovation.

Player of the Game:
Gilbert Arenas - 30 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 steals.

Post-Game Interview:

Interviewer: Congrats on getting the win in a really close game. How much does a game like that change the way you play in the closing moments, knowing the outcome is hanging in the balance?

Image
Arenas: I wouldn't be playing around, making tough shots, dunks, to make the crowd scream and cheer. No, I would be making those sure-shots, shots that I know I can make.

Chapter Six: Hibbert, Green Go To Orlando In Multi-Player Deal | NBA Legends Tweet About Magic's Roster

Player Thoughts:

Image
Roy Hibbert: I'll try to do my part in helping this team get some wins. My contract still has a few years left, so I think I'm not going anywhere else.

Image
Gerald Green: I'm glad to be a part of this roster, I'll be the best Sixth Man of the NBA.

It's all about repetition. When I use the trade finder, I repeat finding trades for the same person. Let's say Eric Gordon, sometimes they want big players out of your roster, sometimes they don't. I get lucky sometimes when I see a ridiculously good offer; no glitches or hacks.

Some big moves made there, the team is hardly noticeable! Nice bringing T-Mac back (Y)
