My NYK-Franchise

Postby Leander on Mon May 12, 2003 3:46 am

Hi,

After a long time of no action, I played a game yesterday and did my first trades.

A. McDyess and C. Ward <--> M. Bibby and S. Pollard
C. Weatherspoon <--> Brevin Knight

Do you have any ideas how I can put my stats online? (they are in a excel-file)

I also uploaded actions-pics of Ward, Weatherspoon, Bibby and McDyess.

Othella Harrington did a great job as a starter, scoring 12 points and grabbing 18 boards in 26 minutes.

Yeeeeees! 100-98 win @ Warriors...
I really hate it when I can't run fastbreaks...the computer dunks so much but I hardly ever run a fastbreak, as the computer seems so stick to my player, I cannot move past him...freestyle doesn't help either, it can happen that you get a charge, running into the opponent.

I was behind by 11 the whole game but in the foirth quarty I fought back...I tied the game with 22 seconds to play, Mike Bibby stole the ball and made a layup 2 seconds before the buzzer....

Houston with 21 points but just 8-22 FG, Sprewell 20 points, Kurt Thomas 15 rebounds, Mike Bibby 12 points, 12 assists, 4 steals in his second game as a Knick.

all-star, 7 minuye q's, I myself tweaked a few players shooting and such (but not my much.) About the whole game is too fast thing, I just play at the same tempo as the cpu and it's good.

This computer-generated rookie called Isaac Ballard is a monster...tall, stronger than Shaq, can block as hell...

Because you don't see my first round pick... 7-3 300 lbs C from ConnectCut. The guy is a monster. When I simulate a game, the guy makes a TD easy.. :mrgreen:

Is he really 7-3? Players taller than 7-0 are very rare.
Oh, my player isn't that tall...I was wrong. He is 6-11, 264 lbs. He has a skull-tattoo on his right arm (computer-generated, I didn't edit anything)...and has huge muscles.

I play with a tweaked roster but still he is averaging more than 2 BPG and has FG of over 60. It's hard to get 1 BPG with my roster but he has more than 2...got like 7 blocks in 20 minutes and so on.

I also have a great pointguard called Brian Dixon...normally, my PG has difficulties with his FG% but B. Dixon is fast, he can shoot from outside, he is just great. He was created after my second season, Indiana drafted him and I conducted a trade.
I'm currently in my fourth season and after his or after the fifth, I will update my homepage with lots of stats and so on.

EDIT: I don't get good picks...cause I have a 20-8 record each season and the rookies you get then are crap.

Here are two pictures of Isaac Ballard:

WOW, he's strong... My Center is very bulky and slow... oh yeah, in the same draft I've drafted a 5-6 PG (1st 2nd round pick). He's my start PG and is a monster too ( I mean... a "small little monter" :D ). He have a good long range, very fast and steel 2 balls per game... :D

My center is slow, too. But that doesn't matter much. Maybe I let him start now, my usual starting center is Michael Olowokandi as he can shoot, rebound, block and has a really good jumper. And it is almost impossible to block him.

Do you just use the rookies as they come, as they are generated or do you tweak them?

I tweak them globally...and then I recalculate their overall ratings...which takes about 2 hours all in all. But I have to do so, otherwise the rookies are way too good compared to the real NBA-players. And when you just tweak their ratings but don't recalculate their overall ratings the starting lineups are flooded with lots of rookies who are crap...but still start cause the computer just takes the overall rating to decide who starts, who is on the bench and who is waived.

EDIT: Can you post a screenshot of your tall center? I'd like to know how a 7-3 generated player looks like :)
