Kimp's Dynasty

Just pop-up the old NBA Live 2005 once again in my PS2 and decided to play Dynasty once again…

Team of choice is the New York Knicks.

I have not recorded any of my transaction but I do my best to remember every player movement.

My objectives are to move big and/or long contracts and play an “ok” season then move forward.

First off the team was Allan Houston (was trade to the Bobcats for Primo Brezec), then made some combo trade in within the season Starbury was gladly taken by the Magic for Contract Expiring Grant Hill, Kurt Thomas and Maurice Taylor was shipped to…(I forgot) for , also an expiring contract player in the 12k –14k player.

Also during the course of the season there were some signings with likes of Kyle Korver, cheap yet with an upside.

After the first so-so season all players left the team except Mike Sweetney and his 2M/year contract which will expire some more 2 years.

Was 2nd in the Draft Lottery and selected the projected 2nd pick

Now with 42M salary cap the first thing I did was Re-Sign Trevor Ariza, Kyle korver & Jerome James and signed free agents Shaquille O’neal (who was release by the heat, don’t ask me im just as surprise as you) Demarr Johnson, Devin Brown Chucky Atkins and Ben Wallace…yes him too was release (well that’s 42 salary cap can do.)

So this is my rotation
C-Shaq
PF-Big Ben
SF- Kyle Korver
SG- Demar Johnson
PG Devin Brown
Bench Jerome James Chucy Atkins, Mike Sweetney, Primo Brezec and 2 Rookies

Made it the first round of the playoffs but was showed the door by the mighty Lebron James…

So after the season, calls were made to the Ohio-based team to tal about trade scenarios
After several tries, both party agreed upon exchanging this players

Cleveland Gets
Shaquille O’neal
Kyle Korver
Primo Brezec

New York gets
LeBron James
2 Rookies

NY also Signed PF Brian Grant.
The new look NY Rotation
C-Ben Wallace
PF-Brian Grant
SF-DeMarr Johnson
SG-Lebron James
PG-Devin Brown.
Bench Jerom James, Chucky Atkins, Mike Sweetney and 4 draftees

This Roster eventually won me the NBA Crown…yoohoo…

At present…Brian Grant retired and with cap space left the Knicks went to pursue old veteran, hungry for a title Allen Iverson, maybe LBJ can convicnce AI to join him for a run for the title.

……as of this writing Iverson agreed to 8M for 1 yr to have a crack at the nba title one last time?…

Welcome to the Forums, good luck with the Dynasty. You have a good lineup with AI and LeBron in the backcourt and Shaq up front.

thank you guys...im enjoying my lineup right now and the way things are going it seems AI's right in teaming with LBJ (rating 92)

BigBen, Mike Sweetney and my 2nd pick (PF Ehlo) are monsters off the board with Jerom James to complete my bigman rotation

Demarr Johnson and LBJ are slicing the middle or making those J's or treys
with improving draftees spelling them for about 2-3 minutes.

and lastly PG rotation consist of AI (top 10 in assist) and veteran atkins who will provide direction for team
