Wade leads the Heat to the win over the Lakers

Miami Boxscore| LA Boxscore

LA, Nov.5 - The Game started out very close. Shaq and Co were able to make some shots inside, but Kobe and the Lakers responded with their good defense and were able to stop some of Heat's attacks

"We wanted to concentrate on Shaq and try to stop him, but Shaq passed out of the double team to the open guy and the guy knocked the shot" - said Caron Butler who scored 13 points and had 5 assists.

The Lakers decided to switch to zone defense and almost never double teamed Shaq after LA took a time out.

Eddie Jones scored 12 of his 18 points in the 2nd quarter, mostly from knocking down the threes." I was wide open when Wade took the ball inside and passed it out to me...all I had to do is to make it"

Damon Jones scored 15 points and made the crutial free thows at the end.

Udonis Haslem was the monster on the boards and pulled down 15 rebounds with 12 points.

But the player that made the Lakers work was Dwayne Wade. "He drove to the rim almsot everytime and was able to shake lose off Kobe almost every time" - said coach an Gundy "Thats the effort I want to see from every player on my team"

In the closing seconds of the 4th quarter Damon Jones knocked down some free throws. The Lakers were only trailing by three. Kobe took a three point attempt and missed at the buzzer.

The Next game the Heat will play is on November 7th at Sacramento.

A great comeback from the Heat gives them another win

Miami Box Score | Kings Box Score

Sacramento, Nov.7 - The Heat started trailing in the 2nd quarter and were down by 16 at one point. But the strong plays of Shaq and Udonis at the defensive end and the strong plays of Wade and Eddie at the offensive end gave the Heat a shot at winning.

Udonis Haslem had 12 points and was a monster on the glass again pulling down 13 rebounds and scoring 12 points. He also got 4 assists, which was team high.

Dwayne Wade scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. "If they want me to be the leader on the court, I will be" - said Wade to the media.

Shaq was doing his part, too. He scored 14 points and had 13 rebounds. Eddie Jones was 5-11 from the three point line. He scored 25 points and carried the team in the 3rd quarter.

For the Kings, Cuttino Mobley had 27 points and scored a half court shot." Wow, I wasn't expecting it to go in" - he said. Bibby was also a factor in the game with 26.

With about :50 secs left the Heat finally got the lead and never gave the Kings a chance to take the lead.

Miami Box Score | Cleveland Box Score

LeBron's 31 not enough to beat the Heat

Miami, Nov.9 - The Heat had a comfortable lead all game and got the easy win. "The Cavs just aren't good enough to beat us" - said Keyon Dooling after the game. He had 7 points and game high 6 assists.

Shaquille O'Neal scored 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Most of his points came in the second half. Udonis Haslem didn't have a big game, with 9 points and 7 rebounds, but his alley-oop dunk from Wade was probably the biggest highlight of the game.

Dwyane Wade had 16 points and 3 assists.

Eddie Jones scored 14 points.

LeBron James scored 31 points(game high),but had 7 turnovers. Ilgauskas scored 10 and had 7 blocks.
