My first real Dynasty was with the Celtics, but sadly my computer got infected with a virus, and I had to give up my old dynasty.
This time I'm playing with the Celtics newest roster (but without Gary Payton - he recently resigned with Celtics)

Hope you enjoy this, and will support it

Image Rookie guards involed in big AND1 sponsorship.

The two rookie guards Tony Allen and Delonte West, was this morning announced along with Wake Forests' point guard Chris Paul and Illinois' Dee Brown as the AND1 Young Guns.

AND1 Young Guns is a basket tour where the four players will be playing 4v4 against a team of normal americans. The first tour will take place in June 2005

Image

The players will earn 500,000$ the first year, and the second year wage will be discussed after the first tour. They have signed a contract of 2 years.

After the release the two Boston guards played a 1on1 with their new AND1 Gear - Ofcourse sponsored by AND1. They will get new shoes when they need it, special shoes for all the players will be released within 2 years.

The Celtics Beat decided to take a chat with Delonte West and Tony Allen after their 1on1 show game.

So - I guess you must be very excited for this sponsorship?
Tony: Yeah I am very happy. It's 3 great guys that im going to play with, and I really love all the gear made by AND1. Right now I just can't wait until the 3rd of November.

Delonte: Just like Tony, im very happy. I've always thought of AND1 one of the best shoemakers out there, so its good to have them as a sponsor

Right now your both thought of being starters against the Sixers .. What should we expect of you?
Tony: Well im already nervous now, because the Sixers look very strong this year. I think my matchup is Andre Igoudala. Im glad I don't have to face Allen Iverson like Delonte

Delonte: I think you can expect alot of both of us in this season, and with time. Allen Iverson is prolly going to start as a PG. It's a rough start, but the league is hard too.

The last question - Will the Celtics enter the playoffs this year?
Tony: Yep, we will!

Delonte: I really hope we can enter the playoffs, and even better to win the Atlantic Division. The really threat is the Sixers, and if we beat them on Wednesday we will get a good start!
Doc is a very good coach, and the team is also a great mix of good players. There's no doubt about that we will enter the playoffs!

Image Celtics lost - Philly looks strong.

The Philadelphia 76'ers shocked the Celtics, and won 3 out of 4 quarters. After a hectic 19-9 4th quarter, Paul Pierce missed a shot just inside the perimeter line, and the Celtics sadly lost 86-85.

[Boxscores]

Both of the big teams in the Atlantic Division had traded alot of plaers before this season, and the PF matchup between Antoine Walker and Chris Webber was as expected a exciting and hard fight in the entire game. Antoine had 11 rebounds and scored scored 25 points (Game high). Webber scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

'Toine said after the game: "Im so glad to be back in Boston - Thats really whats in my mind right now. We lost this game, and played terrible defense all night. Im sure we will be better within a game or two, and im sure we can beat the Sixers next time".

Paul Pierce played a average game for the Celtics, scoring 18 points, grabbing 1 rebound and making 3 assists. Not the perfect start for the previous all star. His substitute Ricky Davis wasnt warm at all, only scoring 13 points.

Ricky Davis said after the game: "Well we could have played better. Im disapointed for my own game, and will do a harder effort against the Pacers".

The two rookies, Tony Allen and Delonte West, was not very dominant or well playing. Delonte scored 5 points and maked 5 assists. Tony Allen played 15 minutes and scored 4 points. His counterpart was rookie Andre Iguoadala, who was the big surprise of the game. He slashed trough the Celtics defense, prooved that he was a rising star and one of the best traffic dunkers, scoring 20 points in his NBA debut.

Coach Doc Rivers said after the game: "The problem was the defense. We have to practice zone defense more, and start grabbing more rebounds. The offense looks good".

Image Pacers no match for Celtics.

The Indiana Pacers was definately no match for a well playing Boston Celtics team. Jermaine O'Neal was the only real well playing pacer, and was a defensive wall in the 2nd half. Antoine Walker was outstanding for the first time this season, and lets hope he will continue this way - Celtics won 117-108.

[Boxscores]

The first quarter was actually the worst quarter for the Celtics, and they lost 24 to 27. Stephen Jackson & Reggie Miller scored the most of their points in this quarter, and the Pacers was stunning when they shot from outside.
Antoine Walker scored 8 of his 34 points in the first, but did'nt really impress the demanding croud. It became better in the 2nd, where he scored 12 points. He scored a total of 34 points and grabbed 7 rebounds - He should be proud of his offensive game, but the defensive part was not what we expect to see of a player like him.

Antoine Walker said this after the game: "It was a thrilling game, but the Pacers didnt really had the offensive touch, and we won the game big. I always love big scoring games like these, and hope we can maintain a winstreak for some time now - Can't wait till we rock New York soon"

The two swingmen Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis can both be proud of their work in this game. Pierce scored 25 points, and Ricky Davis 16. They are both for their fabolous inside-outside shooting, and their scoring range. Pierce scored 5 out of 7 3-pointers, and Davis 1 out of 2.

The Celtics have two promising and hopefully upcoming stars in Delonte Westand Marcus Banks. West had the hot hand and scored 16 points in 19 minutes - Thats 0,84 point pr. minute! He did also make 5 assists. Banks was also impressive tonight, scoring 10 points in 10 minutes - 1 point pr minute. He made a total of 6 assists, the two rookies could be proud of their work rate and bravery, and hopefully continue their beatiful style of playing basketball. Banks is very fast and pacy PG, while West is a bit slower, but still very athletic and a good traffic dunker.

Coach Doc Rivers said after the game: "We had some minor problems in the first, but we solved them and the Pacers was no match for us at all. They really need Ron Artest - Sorry Pacers - But if they continue play this bad, they wont even be near top 8 in the Eastern Conference"
