OK, so the only major setback we've had so far is the inability to give any player the playerpackage of another player. We cannot assign Yao's head and uniform to Paul Pierce, for example.

So what we need to do is figure out which player in NBA Street vol. 2 looks like which player in the real NBA. You can view the rosters and players being used in this mod here - viewtopic.php?f=72&t=92099

Now, we can go into the legends pool and steal players from there for current NBAers in the update. Its a first version, we can destroy the game to our liking right now, and go back and clean stuff up after, like legends and other special teams.

To be honest, I think the best way to do this is try and create a database of hairstyles of players in the game (using the rendered portrait thumbs) and then do the same for current players....

This is the biggest pain in the ass part of the entire mod....IMO making the textures will be easier...but we'll see. So input, ideas, anything helpful, would be great right now.

I ALSO think accessories are tied to the player models, so that's another variable. I'm not sure if the texture each accessory uses is specific to each player though, haven't messed with that. Meaning if I change the texture of Paul Pierces headband from green to white, will that effect everyone else's green headband or just Pierces?

Copy paste into excel or openoffice should work on these lists. So all we need to do is match them up. I want to stress that it doesnt look like the actual NBA players in the Street game have custom CF models, they all look generic with different hairstyles. The legends do have custom models though, but iirc they will hold their specific uniforms when on a different team, so probably shouldnt be used, same with the lunatics and street guys.
