I'm an old member but have not been active here because I've been playing NCAA basketball instead of Live. Currently playing EA NCAA B-Ball 09.
The only fault with NCAA B-Ball is that EA left out the injury function. It's in the setting, but players NEVER gets hurt (others have confirmed that.)
So my question is, is Injury back in 2010? I normally only buy a new (basketball) game every 3+ years, but I'm willing to pay (a new game) for a working Injury fuction. I l ike to play with the clamity of player injury in my game.
Or anyone know anything about 2011?

There's not going to be an NCAA Basketball 11.

So EA is leaving the college series?

For at least a season, if not for the forseeable future.

Update. I got the NCAA Basketball 2010. There seems to be still no injury. I read that NCAA Basketball 10 is the same as Live 10. Does the injury work in Live 10? Just wondering.

Get College Hoops 2k8. It has injuries and heart. Unfortunately there won't be any college games into the foreseeable future. Sucks yes, but such is life. I really wish they had of released a PC version of College Hoops 2k series so it could be patched now

injuries have been absent from Live for a few years now.

I didn't know that. I guess I'll be cutting down to a 10 man team so at least some guys get to play. I had hope Injury would be back (in 2010).
Even if there was no animation, at least just make them unaviliable. So it's like they got hurt in practice or something.

College Hoops 2k8 is amazing, get it. Agreed with X on this one.

i would still recommend at least 12 for a dynasty mode because you still get injuries during simulation. but if you play every single game, then there's no need to worry about injuries

That would be like half-ass programing. I do play every game. I can't imagine why people would want to sim through a dynasty. Well, I can. But it would bother me if the sim results in a lost. A lost I know I could have won. And then have if affect my standings, later down the road.

NBA Live 10 does feature injury animations which are acknowledged in the commentary, but there's no lasting impact and players aren't forced to leave the game as they once were, suggesting that injuries were supposed to be in the game at one point but were perhaps disabled due to some problems. It wouldn't surprise me if NCAA Basketball 10 was the same in that regard. In any event, it's a shame injuries are not reflected outside simulated games.
