NBA Playgrounds

I'm optimistic that it'll be a good game in its own right. I'm still tempering my expectations, and I think the key will be not to make too many direct comparisons to Street and Jam.

I havn't played any games like this since NBA Street Vol 2.... But... for $20 on Steam, I will be buying it.

And I am sure we will be able to mod it. Could be fun.

The closed beta that's been going on for a while now got accidentally put up as a free download on the PlayStation store. I wasn't able to pick it up before it got fixed but a good amount of people did. It's pretty limited in what you can do. Basically a demo that has online play.

From all of the gameplay, It looks like shooting 3's is pretty difficult.

I would hope so, if you're scoring like 5 points off of each one (Antoine Walker's wet dream)

Gotcha, just hoping PC will have players on it, so i could dual stack etc. Way more fun to play it that way.

Looks like it's out now on Steam and Xbox. I know its up on PSN in a few country's but not in North America yet.

Just got it on steam, it has one huge file + two opening movies(both open) + splash.bmp file (So you can pretty much change the intro, haven't tried yet)
Don't really have too much time to do anything, before work, so i'll be back in like 2-3 hours.

Also you get 3 starter packs, not too bad for a start i guess lol.

Penny looks like one of the best players in the game

I will get it in the morning. My only hope is that the PC has a fanbase and has no stupid kids trying to tinker with Cheat Engine to ruin any fun. I know there's offline modes, but that's really only half the fun..

Watched the first game he played and LeBron's stl and blk ratings too low but he would be too good for the game
Also Kemp is on both cavs and sonics.
Game has a Jam feel for sure, but in an outdoor setting.
I like the packs, challenges, and collectibles, as it adds to the replayability factor.

My exporter died in the middle of exporting, so i have no more players to show, but will see what i can find in the cluster of files it did export.


Have no clue about the importing back part, files are made with Unreal Engine 4 tho, which was already mentioned before.

Wow, this is sweet already.

I hope Rodman makes an appearance in this game later on, obviously his shooting won't be his strength.. but imagine the rebounds and dunks and blocks

The only way I've found is importing the assets into unreal engine and recreating a .pak from there. Not even sure if the pak would work when modified though.
