Would they sign mid season for the minimum?
That's what I would love to see in-game.

IDK, Andrew or Pdub might know, I've never really signed a FA mid-season. I've seen some 70's rated players that were like 33-35 that asked for the veteran's minimum though.

Most of the high rates guys sign for the MLE
Tue Sep 07, 2010 3:34 pm
Which again makes it better than it was circa NBA Live 2004-NBA Live 2005 (and even 06 to an extent, though the major names tend to re-sign if they don't move on), when far too many high rated players held out with big contract demands and remained in the free agent pool for a couple of years.

Really, really wanted to get Elite 11, but not for PC so it saddened me much, I will get NBA 2K11 and rest.

Am leaning towards 2k11 again. Still undecided though. Waiting to hear on Association Mode for each game. Hopefully 2k has fixed broken AI trade logic & Elite has overhauled everything
Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:06 pm
2k because I only got a PC and that will depend if I manage to buy a new one.
Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:45 am
2k11. I just can't stand the next gen lives. And honestly, it seems like Elite will have a huge problem to keep up with 2k this year (I may be biased, but this year is one of the clearest)
Thu Sep 16, 2010 10:12 am
NBA 2K11 is certainly the popular choice so far. I thought they might be a few more people getting both though.

I think I will put my purchase on hold and wait for feedback from everyone on NLSC.
As I said in my first post here, my criteria are as follows (In order of importance):
1. Gameplay
2. Dynasty/Association Mode
3. Presentation
4. Other

Sit, that is a good criteria, similar to mine.

I think what I will do, is buy 2K11 first, and if I save enough money, get Elite 11. If Elite 11 just took what they had from Live 10 and improved it, I'd have a much tougher time choosing which game to buy.
Sat Sep 18, 2010 11:43 am
Presentation is 100% 2k11, it looks so amazing...
Sat Sep 18, 2010 5:27 pm
tried the 2k demo and wasn't terribly impressed. i feel 2k has regressed a bit from 2k7 or at least hasn't changed much so i guess elite is the winner again (or at least until i try the elite demo) BOOMSHAKALAKA!

E, what was bad bout it? And what can 2K improve on? I'd like to pick your mind about this.
Mon Sep 20, 2010 1:23 am
I think I'll be getting both games for the PS3. I'll maybe get 2K11 first, then wait for a price drop on Elite 11 and buy it, or vice-versa.

1. I would assume 2k, but I'll let you know my opinion after Elite demo comes out.
2. Definitely 2k. Hopefully Association Insight this weeks shows improved AI trade logic & a few other things. Although if they don't fix these things & Elite improves sim stats & a few other things, Elite will be playable, then it will come down to your others on the list.
3. I would once again assume 2k, based on commentary & overall presentation package. Shame EA doesn't know how to use ESPN license (why not do what NCAA '10 Bball did?).
4. 2k - Relive MJ career, play as Pip, Payton etc; Elite - Legendary Mode (we shall see how it looks in demo). Then there is the battle of controls, which Elite should win.

They are. It's full on ESPN Integration/Presentation this year.

My bad Andrew. After playing demo, can definitely see ESPN coming through in presentation.
As for my buy decision, provided some decent Association improvements, 2k11 will be the decision. I was probably going to get 2k11 anyways so I could play mate online, but was hoping Elite would be game of choice for offline play, but sadly this is not the case.
Sit, after playing the demo, to answer your question:
1. Gameplay - 2k11 without a doubt (IMO)
2. Association/Dynasty - hard to say since the games haven't been released, but generally 2k has the deeper mode
3. Presentation - Elite has ESPN & 2 man crew, 2k11's presentation is pretty top notch. Can't go wrong with either one.
4. Other - I'd say 2k11 due to the NBA feel it has to it. IMO, Elite doesn't seem to have much differentiation between players. Controls, both games have their positives & negatives. Elite is a bit more responsive, even if I'm not sold on them completely. 2k11 controls aren't that good, but they are better than last 2 years of game.

Well, when I say other, I mean the 'Be a Pro' mode or whatever equivalent in each. Not too important but if fun, could be a good game mode to play.

I like the look of 2K from how the players move. The other day on 2K10, it felt like you were playing as Kobe. And I'm sure it's even better in 2K11 and more differentiation between all players.
Well, get back to me when you play Association/Dynasty modes.

But sounds like 2K is the frontrunner atm.
EDIT: After watching NBA Elite 11 videos on youtube, I have voted in my poll... going for 2k11. Seems that majority is with me on this one.
Tue Sep 21, 2010 11:48 pm
The claim is that the videos don't really do the game justice (and if you can try out the demo, I'd always recommend doing that anyway) but I'm still in the process of downloading the demo so I can't speak from experience at this time. Should have my impressions out at some point tomorrow.

You Xbox or Ps3?
I will wait for full versions to come out before I get one. I will wait for everyone's feedback. I'm in no rush to get a new game as I'm still in uni semester and got 5 exams.
Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:04 am
The videos are at least a good indicator for the graphics and animations, which are not really good in Elite. Still you can only experience the flow&smoothness of a game by trying it out by yourself.
Why don't you test the demos on your own, Sit? (maybe you have already written above why, but I did not bother to read the whole thread

)

Does it work with Windows 7?
Also, do I need some kind of account to download content?
