NBA 2K STUTTER ISSUE

Am I the only person that struggles to play any 2k under 2k13? Ever since I purchased a GTX 1080TI - those games constantly lag and stutter. It's seems very weird since a powerful graphics card like that struggles to run 10 year old games. The primary issue is that only the menu seems to lag, once I get into any game its smooth. This wouldn't be a big issue but navigating through the menu becomes a chore and an absolute headache. I can't seem to find a fix nor nobody has ever seem to have an issue about this worth posting on the internet. Could anybody help?
