Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

50 is the medium setting for sliders, so while not the most realistic setting (percentages will likely be a little too high) it won't affect the difficulty too much. Lowering the shooting sliders doesn't really change a player's abilities as such, if a player has 90 for three point shooting he'll still be capable of being one of the most deadly outside shooters on the court at any given time but it will be more difficult to shoot a higher percentage with him. In other words, you might still be able to shoot 9/10 with that player as you lower the sliders but your timing will need to be more precise.

Thanks for the reply. It's more clear to me now. One more question: Should shooting range sliders be set to equal values for CPU and user controlled team? What I mean is that I don't want to have an artificial advantage over the CPU or CPU having the same kind of advantage over me.I don't want to win only because I had higher values of sliders and I don't wanna lose only because I play AI...which should always win, according to the everlasting rule. I need to find something in between. I hope you can help me out in this issue.
Maybe it's only my ignorance and lack of experience in NBA Live series playing but I noticed that whatever teams I choose, I can score some reasonable points and then when my advantage seems safe and it needs only steady playing style to keep the result, I notice that CPU "all of a sudden" starts scoring from every position while my team (even the best long-distance scorers) start making terrible misses...I have just played a 1996/97 mod game: Jazz-Bulls...Hornacek missed 5 threes in a row while Bulls scored from everything they could - Pippen, Jordan and Harper missed maybe two threes in the whole game altogether. I thought I should try scoring from shorter distance...but I missed as well - Malone, Stockton, name it. I lost the game in which I had an 8-point advantage (2 min quarters!!!)

Depends on what the CPU is giving you and how easy you're finding it to score. To begin with, I'd assign equal sliders but you might find that the CPU cheats a little on its shooting percentages, in which case you may wish to lower the CPU shooting sliders a tad. Likewise, if you find that you're shooting an unrealistic percentage and the game is too easy, decrease the user sliders so that it's more difficult for you to score.

Yeah, CPU cheats "a little" which annoys me as hell. So I see I am having lots of trial-error games waiting for me

Thanks for help.

Pretty much. By all means take a look at the sliders other people have posted but keep in mind that they don't always work perfectly for everyone. At the very least, they should provide a decent starting point for you and then you can tweak as necessary.

That's what I actually intend to do. I'll try to give a go to all the slider setups posted here. Hope to find the right one soon.

You need to save the settings from the Load/Save menu every time you unlock a trophy. Also for future reference, this particular thread is for discussing slider issues only. For any other issues, please run a search for an existing thread or create a new one.

sir ANDREW, if I'll make the shot control to yes will it disable the sliders? as what i understand in the wiki, the players are now randomly activated by their own ability... and what will happen if I'll place yes to cpu assistance?
Wed May 23, 2012 9:31 am
No, it will not disable the sliders.
Thu May 24, 2012 1:12 pm
so the player will still perform what is in the slider?i made all the slider=0,except the freestyle and double team, the reason why i ask this sir co'z cpu opponent are now so easy to defeat. i won a season of 82-0..even though i already made 0 in all user sliders and CPU slider are all 100... maybe the problem is the aiact?.. do you have aiact for the cpu opponent that they will be more challenging?
Thu May 24, 2012 1:41 pm
The sliders still have an impact, yes. I do not have any custom aiact files to share.
