no sweat?????

I just saw the clips on IGN, the graphic was awesome, but it wasn't quite different from 2005... anyway, I did see the players' sweat...

I had mentioned that in this topic:

Naw they can't be renders, they look just like how the game would exactly look. It would've been funnyi f the game looked like the actual video they showed which I knew the game wasn't going to look like it. I would like to see more of that sweat feature that they added into the game too from the pics. I couldn't really tell if the sweat was showing or not because the players are always shiny in the game

Seriously, what's the whole thing about the sweat? Who cares? How often will you see them sweat if the camera views aren't even fixed? If you're viewing them from waaaay out then how will you see them sweat? Unless they use monster sweat beads ofcourse.

agree with what jackal said. i want the moving jerseys more.

the videos are most likely for the current gen consoles so I doubt there would be sweat there.

Thats what I have been thinking and told. They said that the E3 video is a preview of the XBOX 360 gameplay demo and that is diff from the current game because of the console limitation.

Sweat plays a big factor in a game, with the implementation of sweat, we will now see the implementation of those dudes with a huge ass mop running onto the floor everytime a player hits the floor.

btw, what happened to them? I remember on one of NBA Actions Top 10 plays, where so mop boy was mopping the paint on the otherside of the court, when Jacque Vaughn went for a fast break and the mop dude almost interfered but made it back to his base just in time... after that.. I never noticed any more mop boys, instead, now we just have refs stopping the game and bringing out some towels.

There will be two versions (basically) of Live 06: it's for Xbox 360 and for Xbox/PS2 and PC...

I remember that too. They're still around, none have gotten in the way of players recently though.

I hope they make 2 versions for PC. One for high end PCs, same version as 360, and one for the rest, same as PS2/Xbox....

No need to make two different versions for the PC; the PC version has detail settings which can be adjusted to suit the capabilities of the user's system.

I'm not digging the whole sweat issue. I think more emphasis, effort and time should be implemented in other things like fixing the excessive amounts of blocks and steals - new great features in Nba Live 2005 :D

The newest previews on IGN is for PS2. The one with the sweat that we saw at E3 was for XBox 360; that's the answer.

i would actually care about the sweat if you could clearly see it on the top of their heads (for baldies), and see it on their arms. then it would actually make the game seem like the players are working hard... which is pretty cool imo. i mean have you seen billups after 5 minutes of playing time? his head is dripping, and every other player is sweating all over their arms... itd be cool to implement that.

a few drops on a players face are NOT going to make a difference in my book.

Sweat, really is not important at all. I personally don't expect it for the current gen consoles. Its not just that the screens are too close...it isn't there. Most likely it will be on the Xbox 360 version but get over it...
