It didn't prevent NBA Live 99 being released. Depending on how long the lockout lasts should it become a reality, NBA Live 06 might be missing a few rookies and require a couple of official updates to add those players (as NBA Live 99 did).

NHL 2005 came out without a glitch, so I am assuming there wouldnt be a problem.

Yea there is some problem in the talks between the Players association and the league over max contract length and team salary cap. The players want the max contract period to be the same but the league wants to change it to 5. And they also want to increase the salary cap. Again yesterday they both walked out so the lockout is a defenite posb.

That's true. But like I said, it depends how long the lockout lasts if it becomes a reality. The lockout in 1995 didn't last very long and the NBA was basically unaffected, as was the PC version of NBA Live 96. I think the SNES version might have been the only one to suffer from the brief lockout in 1995.

So thats why NBA Live 99 felt bland when I got it for Christmas in 98 for the N64.

Because there was a Lockout.

It feels like 01-02 was a lockout too, because it just downright sucked wang.

I'd say so. It was basically NBA Live 98 with better graphics and a couple of other improvements.
