Potential rating, experience, GM mode and a thought

About potential ratingmentioned in an earlier post -

I think it could be made with a different system than the normal rating system.

Instead of making it a 0-99 value, it could be a pool - that has a starting value and is effected by mins played, injuries, avgs. and etc. and also by training and coach/managment attention

Points from this pool will be added/removed each season in set or changing numbers - some would be "invested" to players rating, and some would be lost. That until the player reaches his "peak" and from then on his ratings would decrease slowly.

The rating change system should be given special thought, and thats because players who are so old that their phisical ability changes - sometimes use their experience to compensate for that (for example MJ in his last comback).

- so maybe potential rating could be effected by physical changes, and mental (experience and attitude) changes. This can also increase realisem of GM mode - since the work methods of the GM and coach would be a bigger influence on the players.

just a thought.

there is a potential rating, it's just hidden in the .dbf's.

well there is a destiny rating
a 1-6 or so (1 is best progression)

but this and last years abc system usually results in unrealistic rating changes.
