I mean if that's the best the movie's got to offer, why make it in the first place?

It's not a porn film.
I guess you have to read the book by Stephen King to appreciate it. :|

I watched a bit of Chasing Amy. Meh.

I watched the first 90minutes of The Departed, it was great, only 50 minutes to go but I'm too addicted to FM 07 to watch the rest of it.

better than the Grudge 2

I'd be able to watch Alice in Wonderland and be more scared than the Grudge. Talking bunnies? Wtf?

I have the clear Telesync version, it's an alright movie. I watch Statham movies expecting to see the martial arts he pulls off, this one didn't have that. It's more...guns & a few punches thrown. It's a good movie, it's gripping and fast paced, but I was still a bit disappointed. On the other hand, it isn't a Transporter. Amy Smart + China Town scene, very nice.

It's not a porn film.

No, I didn't expect it to be a porn movie, what I meant by my previous post is that that scene was the most amusing, I'm trying to point out how bad of a movie it was if that scene was the most amusing. Get it now Shadow?

I've stopped reading Stephen King books, he got repetitive after awhile.

You're a disgrace to all movie lovers. :shake: Here I can't wait till the 9th of November...and you're playing FM 07?! On top of that you leave a movie half way? :shake:

I've decided to watch it now. And I left the movie half way because it was 1am. I'm not watching it at the cinemas hint hint nudge nudge.

I got that much Jugs, I'm not that blonde.

One a.m. is no excuse, if you can stay out and party till after 6 a.m., watching a movie shouldn't be an excuse.

I personally loved that movie. I actually went out and bought Transporter 1 + 2 and Cellular after I saw it.

Anyone else see Man of the Year yet? Id give it a decent 8/10

The Departed >> FM 07 (Y)

Well I took a brake from watching horror movies today. So I decieded to watch the new Van Damme movie " The Hard Corps ".

It was interesting to watch and good way of passing time, but I wouldn't call it one of the best Van Damme movies. The story was okay, some good action in it mostly shooting.I still think that " Second in Command " is better in my opinion.

Next on my list is "The Descent" as Jackal suggested,I will hopefuly watch it tomorrow if I find the time.

Ditto. The Harry Potter series looks more freaky to me now.

Jaosming, i saw man of the year, while it was good the advertising led you to believe it was going to be a farcical romp into dc, while it was truly a conspiracy theorist movie...but i agree with your rating: 8/10

The past week, I've watched two of the Austin Powers series, and will be watching the third one sometime this week. Man, one of the funniest movies out there, imo. I loved the characters and one-liners. Sure, the plot blows ass, but it's hilarious as heck.

What part were you disgusted with? If you sorta liked the first one, the second one is a treat, and if I remember way back when I watched the third one, it was a fun watch as well. I think the whole series work really well because a lot of the jokes refer to the previous movie(s) and I like how they come full circle.

It didn't disgust me in a gorey way, I was just not ready for the whole 70's look thing in a movie. The whole...well way the movie was made caught me off guard.

I'll have to pick it up one of these days, I can't go through life not having seen the Shaguar.

I'm pissed about Borat coming out 20 days after the u.s, europe release in aus. I understand Melbourne Cup is on that week here so that occupies many people but Fox could have surely just release it the week after.

Naw, it really flips back to the late 60's to the 90's and vice versa so it's not just all 60's/70's. I actually enjoy seeing how shagtasic it was in the 60's. It's groovy, baby!

I'm bored as shit, so I'm going to do some reviews for some of my favorite and not so favorite movies. I'll do one of my alltime favorites first.

Fargo:
Fargo is a movie that takes you on such a wild ride in so many different directions, that by the end you don't know whether to laugh, break something or watch it again. The latter is the best option. Fargo is a movie in the category of Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Se7en and Reservior Dogs in the sense that it must be watched a second time. Fargo is the story of Jerry Lunddegard (William H. Macy), Executive Sales Manager of a car dealership that is owned by his wealthy father in law. You find out in the begininng of the movie that Jerry owes money, and you know that it is a lot of money. He has two plans set on how to get the money. One is a deal that he is proposing to his father in law and his father in laws parter, Stan Grossman. They are interested in the deal, but are only willing to pay him a finders fee, if that even. Jerry's other plan is far different. There is an mechanic at the dealership where he works named Shep, and Shep sets him up with two guys that will kidnap his wife. He plans to have his wife kidnapped, then have her father in law pay the ransom. His plan is then to split the money with the kidnappers. However, he tells the kidnappers that the ransom is $80,000, but he tells his father in the law that the ransom is $1,000,000. After this all gets set up everything goes terribly, terribly wrong right from the start. The film really takes off on a scene where Steve Buscemi and his parter are pulled over for not having the correct license plate stickers on the car which Jerry gave to them from the dealership. A few minutes later, there are 3 dead people. The cop who pulled them over, and 2 who drove by and saw Buscemi's character pulling the dead body off the road. Then Frances McDormand, a cop for this little ho-dunk Minnesota town called Brainard where the incident took is on the case of the triple homocide. Frances earned the Best Acress Oscar for her role, and she was very deserving. Frances along with Macy got the Minnesota accent down pat. The accent helps make the film very comedic and really brings a feeling to the movie.

Final rating: 9.3/10.

Fargo is a must see for anyone who is interested in films. Fargo is the Coen Brothers best film, and really needs to be seen to be believed. Very funny and dramatic at the same time.

I watched Fight Club and Se7en for the 1st time and I got it. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it everytime. I had to watch Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs for a second time to get it though. All those cursing and profanity derailed me from the movie.

Reservoir Dogs while i believe is fantastic and i got the first time, i dont see the big whoop about pulp fiction. Maybe i'm confused, i just feel like interconnecting stories had been done before and done more tastefully, maybe i'm wrong. also fight club defined a generation, but yet seems to make no sense to most people that see it, go figure.
