It's called American History X. Also, like Jackal said, you're not really supposed to say stuff like "I didn't buy it, but got it off Limewire." (It's against forum rules)

It's called American History X.

Nah, he knew what the movie was called, he had made a new thread in some other forum section, was moved here & merged to this thread. Look, he has the movie name in the Subject section of his post.

Pirates of the Carribbean

Postby Silas on Sat Jul 08, 2006 4:21 am

Saw the midnight show last night. There were several "Captain Jack's" there in costume, lol. Anyway, its a very good movie and you all should see it, just keep in mind its very long. It didnt get out till after 3 in the morning which kinda sucked.

Anyway, see it. I feel it was just as good if not better than the 1st.

Despite hearing bad ratings from everyone from critics to NLSCers, i decided to go and see Click, i thought it was excellent. As Jae said, it was a bit too sad, but i still loved the movie.

@ Peachy: I agree, Goal is awesome. I rented it out, and ended up buying it.

I just saw pirates of the caribbean lastnight and its worth the movie ticket. It's basically bigger and better than the first one in every way. The whole davy jones folk lore stuff had me saying "wtf is this" but i guess if i knew his fable it would make sense. It was nice to see all the favourite characters from the first one make a return also (except the black chick)...some sequels are bad with that. As said before..the movie is mad long...it's a nice comedy trip but 2 hours into it...i heard people saying "jaesus, how long is this movie???!"

Also, i saw nacho libre and it seems like some sort of cult comedy. It didnt tickle my fanasy..so i walked out half way of the movie and went to see fast and the furious: Tokyo drift. Now that movie was badass; save for the dumb moments featuring bow "weezy"

Its weird how people have different perceptions of things, i hear of millions of people loving it, but all i heard when i was leaving the Cinema was about how POTC2 was a let down, and had a bad ending (even if the purpose was to set up for number 3)

Nacho Libre I thought was really good, but its one of those movies thats not funny unless you're with a lot of people, or your high or drunk.

I just saw The Big Lebowski again on cable. This is a classic in my list, it's absolutely hilarious in a subtle way. I would classify it as a sort of "slacker" film where brainpower isn't required to understand the story nonetheless it's still enjoyable, compared to crap like Dude Where's My Car.

The story may not be that interesting but the cast and the characters they portray is what held the movie together imo, Jeff Bridges, Steve Buscemi, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, and especially John Turturro. It even has Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tara Reid, and Flea (RHCP).

Some favorite scenes: (Spoiler tags my ass!)

The chinaman pissing on the Dude's rug.
Walter (Goodman) smashing a car and screaming "This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass!"
Jesus (Turturro) on his bowling prowess.

I rented The Perfect Score, Saw 2, Hooligans & Thugs and American Dad Season 1 today.

I watched the Perfect Score, it sorta sucked ass. I only got it because of Darius Miles. Darius Miles was the worst player to choose, his voice and acting sucked ass. When he would talk, everyone would look at him like people look at 3 year olds when they try and blurt something out.

Just watched Hostel. That's one twisted and sick movie, which translates to a pretty good horror movie.

Pirates was a pretty good movie, even though the ending is obviously leading to a third one. The ending itself wasn't too bad, I thought there was a nice little twist in the end to keep people interested in the third one.

Finished watching Like Mike 2 and Goal.

Like Mike 2 was pretty average, nothing special. Although sometimes there was some cool Basketball moves.

Goal.. Well, what an awesome movie. I can't wait until Goal 2 is released, this would be one of my favourite movie's I have watched, really good stuff. :)
