It's pretty lame. It's more about Dr Dre and Snoop trying to be as "cool" as possible as opposed to them acting out the story.

I bought the Two Disc Special Edition of Fight Club today, I had the one disc one, but this was at a bargain price so I bought it.

I decided to watch it again and to be totally honest, Fight Club is the best movie I've ever seen. Sure, movies like The Godfather, Scarface and numerous others are great for the "cool" factor, but the storyline in Fight Club, amazing. I think the closest thing to wow me as far as much as Fight Club is probably Shawshank Redemption, which also had a great great storyline.

Anyone who hasn't seen Fight Club (I wonder who hasn't...), great movie.

yeh- it''s a great movie. excellent casting/directing/writing. storyline is from my generation. it's in my top 5 of all time. if i had one complaint to make it- they should have picked out someone hotter to play Marla Singer.

SPOILER AHEAD...
the movie came out right before a lot of the movies started using the multiple personality twist so when i saw the ending i was blown away

the Fincher and the Fincher/Original author commentary was very insightful

the book's better 8-)

About half way through the movie I had a memory flash of something an NLSC person said here about 6 months ago which ruined the entire ending.

I finally saw The Godfather, part III. I watched it with an open mind, expecations at a minimum.

What a great film, totally underrated. It's a notch below two perfect films in part I and II, but that's no crime. I felt a lot of it had to do with the awful casting of Michael's daughter, the wrong physical appearance for Pacino -- the spiked gray hair just didn't work, along with his raspy voice, and the fact that it was made so much later. The first two's cinematography were so beautfiul and basic, while the third felt too 1990s, which kind of separated it from the trilogy.

Nonetheless, Pacino and Garcia's performances were Oscar-worthy, and the conclusion was so fitting.

For those who decided not to bother after hearing that it just didn't stand up to the first two, I advise you to watch it, and just accept the truth: it's no masterpiece. However, it's a damn good film.

I agree, it's a nice movie, but the expectations you come to have from anything titled the Godfather...

Besides, Sofia looked like a dyke. :|

I actually exchanged my old one for the two disc version since I (luckily) still had the reciept :) The Edward Norton interview at his old university was cool.

The biggest thing I hated about Godfather III was Andy Garcia. Honestly, I don't think that guy can act.

I don't think he was trying hard enough. Most of the time he has an expression of indifference or he just doesn't convey an emotion. When he does get angry, it all looks contrived. It was really irritating.

Anyway, one movie everyone should check out is The Corporation. Hands down, one of the best documentaries I've seen. Really eye opening to see how much power corporations have and how that power isn't used in a very good way.

I watched on IFC Channel last night a Hong Kong Bullet-ridden flick. called Chuen jik sat sau; its American name is Fulltime Killer.
The main characters are the Chinese actor Andy Lau and the Japanese actor Takashi Sorimachi.

I seriously doubt anyone has seen this, but it got pretty good ratings and had some serious breathtaking moments.

I saw CLICK, and surpisingly, it was actually a good movie. I was expecting a Mr Deeds type-of-movie, but no... this might sound kind of weird (especially coming from me) but this movie was actually touching...like honestly..it was. Good movie, and out of 10, I would probably give it an 8-8.5. People go out and see this... SEE IT!!!

i don't think at all he was trying to emulate Al Pacino but rather Santino "Sonny" Corleone... hot tempered, eager to use muscle instead of thinking things out.. very unlike Pacino's Corleone character from the first 2 epics

i want to watch Superman but i want to avoid crowded theaters filled with obnoxious kids. seems like that is inevitable... for this weekend at least :(

You'll have to wait till the movies been out for quite some time, then the rush and excitement is usually over.

Nice of you to drop by T.

You're a step behind though, the local NLSC Superhero Reporter beat you to it:

Anyways, post more often eh.

Edit: I was never into comic books, but could someone explain the black spider man? Is it just spider man but evil? Gimme the story.

Also in Batman, there's this Nightwing character I hear about, anyone know anything about him?

The black spider man is supposed to be him posessed by an alien symbiote (sorry for the confusion about Venom...spider man appeared to be taken over by the symbiote for a while so I called him Venom which was technically incorrect) I don't know any more about him because I only watched the cartoons on FOX but more can be found here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venom_%28Marvel_Comics%29

Anyways , has anyone seen "Superman Returns" yet?

No, it's NOT Venom... tahts just the alien symbiote taking over or covering P. Parker. Spider-man rejects the symbiote and then it takes over Brock, turning him into Venom.
