I just watched the Get Rich or Die Tryin' (with Jae

)
Well, it was cliched as fucking anything and it was just a bore. The only good part was the fat white guard lip-synching the rap music when 50 was in jail. Other than that, its total gangsta.

Okay, I got two (expensive) tickets to the movie theatres, and I was wondering whether I should use the tickets on V for Vendetta or on the Inside Man? What do you guys think? Thanks

Inside Man, haven't seen V for Vendetta yet, but Inside Man, worth it. Very much.
Watched Machinist, fucked up to say the least.
Looking forward to it J23.

I saw Thank You For Smoking over the weekend. Great movie. It's a satire of the tobacco industry. Main character is a spokesman for a tobacco conglomerate and it follows him around. Aaron Eckhart, William H. Macy, Robert Duvall, Rob Lowe, Katie Holmes, Adam Brody, and whoever played Brick in Anchorman are all in it.

The New World. A poetry in pictures, an ode to nature and love.

I had it on DVD, but after a friend told me it was from the guy that made The Thin Red Line, I never watched it.
That's one of the few movies I've slept in. Very few.

My friend Alexis discovered that in The Phantom menace movie appear some ET's, when they're in te parlament, and they show a panoramic there are some ET's in the left - down corner.

Really? I thought that movie kicked ass. Different tastes, I guess.

Yeah, I suppose so. The expectations you have from a movie also factor in. I went in expecting a good, hard nosed war movie. I got a bunch of nature shots. That's always a let down.

Ended up watching V for Vendetta, and I gotta say I definitely enjoyed that movie! Portman was great, but the storyline was what really worked. I just enjoy the whole dystopia and rebellious overthrow of the government idea, so I'm a little biased.
Will watch Corpse Bride tonight.

yes I agree completely. One of my fave movies of all time. I was expecting your typical dumb Ashton Kutcher movie, but it was amazing.

I watched it again and it is extremely flawed. Not flawes as 'this movie is stupid and it sucks', but as flawed as any other move about time travelling. For instance, why does he return into the same reality (prison) after he hurts his hands, but any other minor change of the past completely changes the future? Why does he still leaves his hometown after he removes the original reason? That sort of things.

^^You think too much. It's Ashton Kutcher. Let him be flawed if he's trying something like this.
I really liked the movie, other than the mailbox incident with the baby, and the dog's final times.

Ho-hum, most people know it. If they don't, then good info.

Same here, I was thinking that it might be good since it has an all-star cast. Big disappointment.
Scary Movie 4.... hopefully Shaq puts on a better acting performance
Saw a clip of it on Conan or Letterman. It showed Shaq and Dr. Phil doing a parody of Saw. When the voice spoke out in the room, Shaq thought it was Kobe.
The only way they could get out is if Shaq shot a FT using a rock. We all know what happens next when Shaq shoots FT's.

I have the DVD and it's a really good movie. It's very powerful and it might be really disturbing for you, but it sends a strong message.
Thu Apr 13, 2006 6:24 am
^^^ to what extent is it disturbing im wondering? i guess the goriest film ive seen is Passion of the Christ and The Grudge, if it isnt worse than that i think i should be able to handle it.
Thu Apr 13, 2006 6:32 am
It's psychologically disturbing because it involves drugs and the effects of it.

You wuss. The Grudge just made me laugh.

I just came back from V for Vendetta and man was that movie good or what?
Hugo is awesome, without seeing his face you could just make out from his voice what sort of emotions he was trying to convey, simply an amazing actor. It was a wonderfully crafted & amazingly well written (dialouges) movie. The thing with the two coloured domino's also had me in awe.
Natalie Portman may be as flat as a door, but goodness does that woman have a set of lips on her. Gorgeous, throughout the whole movie, gorgeous.
