Best remixes this year.

I recently discovered a great band "Lords of the underground". Their "Keepers of the funk" album is soo sick.

Yes, they are damn good. I found out about them from the Street v2 soundtrack

Anyone like Jack's Mannequin, or Something Corporate? Great music, I'd reccomend 'Everything in Transit', it's a good album from top to botton.

I just downloaded Nas's album, along with Lupe's , and they're both great.... I never really listened to Nas a lot but I gotta agree with almost everyone here, the CD is amazing.

Who likes Coheed and Cambria? They're heaps good, and they have a really big story behind they're songs.
www.cobaltandcalcium.com has stuff on their story.

And anyone like DragonForce?...or know of them?

How 'bout Co&Ca?

But yeah DragonForce are kind of a metal band, 'power metal' if you will haha.
It's really good guitar music, look them up on YouTube. Their solo for Through the Fire and Flames got solo of the year for 2006. I feel cool 'cause I can play some of it lol.

I like Dragonforce.. i wouldn't call them power metal though.. since thats the domain of Pantera.. which they are NOTHING a like hahaha

If anything Dragonforce is speed metal, cause welll.. they are fast. Herman Li is awesome.

I was going to mention the rage against the machine reunion.. for once in my life, I wish i was in America hahaha..

Rage against the machine > daylight > Audioslave.. I seriously can't stand the cock sucking over Chris Cornell's vocals.. imo its bland and boring. And on the dvd Audioslave in Cuba... its like he is watching out for snipers or something. :|

Yeah I was either gonna say power metal or speed metal. And yes, they are very fast so I probably should've said speed metal lol. Herman Li (or Ri, lol) played with Steve Vai in some Ibanez concert thingy, I read it was really good.

:o A Rage Against the Machine Reunion? I didn't hear.
And I actually like Chris Cornell's voice.

Oh you will like it until you hear him try and rap like Zach in their Rage tributes. It's both hilarious and embarrasing at the same time.

:headbang: agrees with shadowgrin if i ever witness cornell trying to do rage songs... (or anything remotely similar) i cannot be held responsible for my actions....

On another note, i retract my previous statements about fall out boy...like the "It aint a scene its a goddamn arms race" song...

So last night went to see Saliva. Opener was Ligion. If you like salivas genre, check out ligion on myspace, they were pretty damn good. And saliva was saliva. Because of the snow howver, there was almost no one there...40 people tops in usually a 750-1000 venue. On top of that josey scott had a killer toothache/sore throat so basically, they rushed through their hits (actually playing what people in the crowd yelled out) and got the hell out of dodge. While it was kinda cool cuz there was no sititng through songs i didnt know, i wish it had been a touch longer. Click Click Boom was about his 3rd song and we were like "umm somethings wrong" But anyway, still a good show and well worth the 15 bucks i paid. :headbang:

I meant Coheed and Cambria.

So we're getting music ready for prom. There's no real theme, but I get to pick out out a few songs for the DJ to play (the DJs have been horrible in past years, so they're revoking their privledge to play their own music haha). I have some ideas, but I'd like to take some suggestions. It can really be any kind of music, but I'd prefer something that isn't really hardcore, something you could dance to, or just something upbeat.

Even still, i've never really been much of a Coheed fan. I mean they're good, but not great.

I don't know what you like, but I suggest Home For A Rest by Spirit Of The West. It's probably not something you'd normally listen to, but it's good for a nice change at a dance, something energetic to get you going. Listen to it if you haven't heard it.
