I'm anticipating the Artest album, should be pretty funny, I'm wondering what he has to say.

One with Bizzy Bone (or one of the other Bone Thugs) and it would be a decent song if it didn't sound so repetitive. The other is with Ashanti and I think T.I. called "Pac's Life", but that song is horrible.
This made me think about what Colin said a month or so ago that he's only the 12th best rapper in his opinion, but I thought he is one of the best. I think it has a lot to do with where we live... I don't know how much Pac you guys got in Canada, but in Southern California, we got so much Pac in the last 15 years. One of Colin's knocks on Tupac was that he didn't have "true classics".
Of course, our definitions of classics are different, but still to this day, not a week goes by that I don't hear "California Love" on the radio. I hear 2pac classic hits like "How Do U Want It", "I Get Around", "All Bout U", and "2 of Amerikas Most Wanted" among others all the time on the radio. I hear about 5-10 2pac songs on the radio each week.
I do understand that radioplay doesn't mean a whole lot (otherwise, 50 Cent would be the best rapper ever), but it must mean something when people are still bumping a lot of 2pac songs on the radio after all this time. What's interesting is that the "92.3" and "106" he mentions in "To Live and Die in L.A." are the stations that still play his songs, among a few others.
I dunno, just a few thoughts on that.

Gods. I love them so much.
Pretty sweet new stuff too. Magius, have you heard of The New Pornographers? Neko Case does vocals for some of their songs. And if you like that kind of new stuff, maybe check out the CBC Radio 3 podcast, it's got a variety of new, independant music.
