Actually Jackal brings up a good point. A lot of people do get tattooed with Chinese characters and whatnot that do not actually mean what they are led to believe. That's why it pays to research beforehand, as you did. (Y)

You know Stevan.it is not nice.i dont think buildings in Ozland would stand a 7.4 earthquake, too.

No, no they wouldn't. My point is that with all your problems your country manages to get some basketball coverage unlike us.

I know where I'd put the earth quakes if I could relocate them...

it is mainly because of we have one of the youngest population in the world. And almost everyone here is a basketball and NBA fan here. NBA Jersey and misc. sales are very good on Turkey. NBA became a big market here. Also there were some Turkish guys who came from USA,who tried to bring NBA TV for years. They have a big share on bringing NBA TV.

Most of us in Australia are happy to watch athletes we're familiar with and know will do well. As opposed to some American we're seeing for the first time.

I don't know about you, but prior to last season would you have rather watched Laker games or Pistons games? Exactly.

I believe SBS is going to show some more basketball games that don't feature Australia. Tomorrow morning (sometime between 12 AM and 7 AM I believe) they'll be showing New Zealand vs Italy for example. I'm assuming they'll be showing a few USA games as well.

I like the idea of SBS showing some events while Prime jumps around. SBS seems to be catering for fans with specific tastes while Prime is showing clips and highlights from everything. A little better than the 2000 coverage, but I thought Nine's coverage of Atlanta was far superior.

I'm just waiting for my folks to bring home the TV guide so I can see what's going to be shown. Might have to check on the net too....
Whatever men's games are shown, I'm going to tape.

The coverage is always Australian-biased, that's just the way it is, and it's understandable, though it can be frustrating. Chanel 7 will cut into whatever they're showing to cut to an Aussie winning a medal. Again, understandable.

In 2000 they normally showed basketball late, like 1 or 2 am, they showed replays which were un-interrupted and I thought that was great, I didn't care what time it was. Shit like Russie versus USA... This time we might see some stuff during the day time, because that's when they'll be replaying stuff over here while Greece sleeps. Hopefully there'll be some hoops. And like you guys mentioned SBS will be showing more specific uninterrupted stuff.

Like I said, I'm taping anything they show! Hell I'm even excited about seeing the Boomers play, that's how basketball starved I am. That and I endured the Opals game yesterday and I'm dying to see some guys play the game the way it should be played.

New Zealand mens vs Italy mens on SBS at 6:30pm in Adelaide, so that's like 7pm in Newcastle (Y)

There's more basketball on SBS at 4am tonight too but I don't remember who's playing, if you go to the SBS website they've got a really good TV guide.

Sean Marks, LOL! He threw down a couple of two handed facials, and then an open one, none of which were too pretty but you get that...
And only after the third dunk (which was totally open) did a New Zealand fan in the crowd stand up and shout "In your face!"
Pero Cameron spent half the game pulling his shorts up. Fat bastard.

LOL true, everytime NZ called a time-out I was hoping they'd take Fat Pero off and replace him with the David Beckham wannabe.

I've never heard of the Polish Mafia. Plus I'm reading Puzo's Godfather which is why I brought up the Italians.
