OK, im gonna tell ya'll my kick ass Michael Jordan moment. Now, ive had a few MJ moments in my bball 'career' in game situations. Heres the latest.

i was driving to the hoop, i had the ball about waist height when taking my 2 steps. Anyways i started to lift it with one hand and then i feel 2 hands on the ball as i go up, i'm expecting a foul but no call, somehow i manage to release the ball, it goes off the backboard and in :P

It was pretty much the exact same play as #9 on ESPN all time best Jordans plays

the other was exactly like this Baron Davis move on J Oneal. Except i did it on a fastbreak. Basically i jumped up into this taller player, got a foul call, and then spun 360 and put it in off the backboard....i made the FT

I really took it hard driving into the hoop that game.....we lost by 5 though, down 0-2 in season series against that team but i reckon we gonna kick they ass. They are 1-2 yrs younger and i'm wondering why they beat us. Then i remember when i was 16 i was all proactive and i used to practice and i could run for an eternity. Now i struggle up and down the court, shit i'm old :) but im gonna get into the fitness and in game im gonna post those fools up and use my Karl Malone elbow technique :D

OK since im bored i wanna know what Roster team USA will field

first off i think Gregg and Larry will play their boys Tim and Allen, and rightly so

so that means we have
C T Duncan
G A Iverson

at F we have Anthony, Boozer, Jefferson, Odom, Stoudemire, Okafor and Marion. I'll assume that Odom will play PF. I'd put Stoudemire next to Duncan in the block and Jefferson at the other forward.

the guards are Marbury, Wade, LJ. I'd be inclined to pick LJ because of his unselfishness. so the final lineup according to me is...

C Duncan
F Stoudemire
F Jefferson
G Iverson
G James

and the rest on the becnh.

Looks pretty good. This way they get 3 guys that can drive to the hoop, a good shooter (RJ) and some big bodies down low.

anyways, USA will win Gold

in my opinion Melo has a bigger chance of starting then Jefferson. This team will get the gold for sure. But if only Kidd played on this team we would see more exciting matches.

i dont understand one thing. Team US is full of forwards. But there is not even a center.(Assuming Duncan as a PF -but he will play the C probably) And except Marbury there is not even a true point guard. it is clear they are planning to play fast break .But they should at least try to get another true point guard. But i am sure US will get it.

I don't think this usa team is that bad... lithuania is the only team i think that can knock them off now that peja has pulled out. But team usa has so many weapons... looking at their team, they should win the gold. just look at their roster and any other countries.. its not really close

Team USA is very strong individually but where they suffer is in team play and international rules. They have little to no chemistry and they have to adjust to international rules pretty quick. Still they should win

Who do you think they should have as the go to guy?
In the post its Tim Duncan and on the perimeter i think AI...well maybe Marbury cos he's big and strong and he can shatter somebody's ankles sumthin serious

I hope for a Argentina vs USA Final. That way i get to see more of Delfino

breathe thread, breathe!

Man look at all the stuff I missed! The razor sharp commedy of Homer (LOOOOOOL), the Ramblings of Matt, that crazy Matthew attitude, Jae being Jae, and others being... others :D

-Nba Live 2005... I'm afraid with all this dunk contest gimmick shit, that the rest of the game will be a rehashed version with prettier graphics as usual. Fuck the dunk contest. Who wants to sit there and work that shit out! I want a basketball game god damn it, not an allstar weekend 'special'.

-Team USA is fucked. Lithuania can take them if Jasikevicius plays like he did in 2000. He slashed the USA defence harder then a suicidle teen. Obviously they lost to Italy so there are plenty of other teams out there which can take them. Argentina if they retain the team play and toughness of the world championships. Yugoland/Serbia will need some luck, though it's not out of the question. I'll have to see who's on the squad and get back to ya.

Yep.

Dream team blows. They are playing like they are "cream team". No defence. Also they suck against Zone D. They need a pure shooter badly. Like Redd or even Reggie would be great fit for that team.

Did you see the Germany game? Allen Iverson at the buzzer from halfcourt, that was a good game.

USA sucks against Zone defence. Also the players are too much hustle on D that they are fauling so many stupid times. But they will probably beat the shit out of Turkey. Turkey;A great offense team, everyone can shoot and dish but when it comes to D. Turkey is the worst hands down.
But when it comes to big matches in Athens. Lithuania will kick USA's ass so bad , the players will re-ti-re.

From National Team

I couldn't help but notice this "Digging into the past" thread. I didn't bother to read all the spam in it...although I was a fairly good spammer back in the day.

Those really were the good ol days. I miss them. Partly because people didn't have pics in their signatures, so the screens loader quicker on my pc! But also because it was such a great bonding experience.

As I said, I didn't read all the posts, so I don't know if this was brought up.

But...Jae just sent me the huge thread started in the old NBA Live 99 forum, the one that was started because there was a girl on the forum. It quickly escalated out of control, of course. I couldn't help but smile after seeing that one.

You're right it was a good bonding experience, people we flamed and appeared to hate became our friends and we just relied on the NLSC for the hours of entertainment it could provide. Although to be fair, if I ever hear another Showerfun joke I'm going to murder someone.
