I got the Lupe Fiasco album today and it's pretty much the best hip-hop album of 06 so far. He issued a statement saying that this isn't the final album though and it's a unmixed version, he was so fucked up about it leaking that he says he doesn't know if the album will still come out.

I agree. Lupe's album is very very good. Hopefully now people can start knowing Lupe Fiasco instead of labeling him as that dude on the Touch the Sky video...

"Lupe Fiasco...sounds like a Mexican wrestler."

Some random comedian said that on the show 'Video On Trial' that airs on the music station in Canada.

Kick Push is a tight track by Lupe

Hustler Musik by Lil' Wayne is nice for a mainstream track.

Shitty track of the day, I Don't Like The Look Of It by Da Backwudz WTF seriously.

Just just just got back from the Gentleman concert in The Hague, man it was the best fucking time I've had in this God-forsaken country.

I've got some phone pictures/videos, alas my camera was at a football game in Amsterdam. (Brother in law.)

Seriously, the concert was fucking amazing, he had to come back like 3 times in total just because it was so fucking loud in there.

^Well the Raekwon show I stood around at before not being allowed in was ghey.

Me, in letting off steam thread, wrote:FUCK Ticketmaster!!!

They advertised the fucking Raekwon show I was going to as all ages on the website. I called them and they verified it was all ages. I show up there and they tell us they'll let the minors in "later." Over the next hour and a half they proceed to fuck with us giving us all these bs excuses about convincing the venue owner and shit. Then after two hours of standing around they tell us there's no way we're getting in and take our names for refunds. There was 30 of us there at a relatively small venue, and they fucked all of us over.

FUCK Ticketmaster!!!

 I got in real quick, I sort of look like a thug (although I was dressed in a dress shirt and stuff)...the jacket I wear looks like a thug jacket, the hoody comes almost to my neck.

In any case, got in, got drinks, found a nice spot...after like 30 minutes they came onto stage, was the shizzle. I'll recap the night some other time.

Btw, I get my tickets from http://www.ticketmaster.nl/html/home.htmI

Uh oh...50 cent is in the media again. Trashing Southern rap this time.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/152618 ... lines=true

A lot of the music that comes out of the South is kind of simplified and I think it's kinda 'cause they just wanna have a good time," he explained. "They don't wanna think about what [they] just said. ... They really didn't make sense, but they made sense in a way and they just wanna hear something while they're actually partying and it works for them. But when they don't take the time to make it the highest quality possible, it hurts the actual hip-hop [genre]. People wanna make music they can get away with as opposed to the best possible music they can make.

"They'll lower the grade of music," he continued. "It changes the range you can go and then it causes confusion amongst artists that don't have their own direction at that point and they all start making music that is similar. Like if the record comes out and it's a hit and it's the simplest thing on the planet, all of a sudden the new artists start writing records that are similar to that hit. Their motivation is to have a project that's successful and that will allow them to move out of the financial situations that they're in when you're in the 'hood or in the ghetto. They make it sound like the record that they hear playin' on the radio as opposed to just creating their own lane.

I hate The Streets, have since I first heard their stuff in the UK. Although the very first song was kinda catchy.

Oh yeah, The Streets. Didn't comment on them. They've got some alright production. But lyircally they suck. And I don't like the accents.

Southern rap is way better than given credit for. There are so many good artists but they just don't have the recognition. Plus i'd rather listen to some Hot Boys, 3 6, Cash Money than your average club track by 50 or Lil Jon.

Anyways, i got Rihanna's newie....it's better than the 1st....got more of a Reggae feel to it.
